Elena’s POV

“Alex what is happening here and why aren’t you saying anything to me? I questioned him with curiosity.

Alex ignored me and kept moving. His hands were so hard on me. Alex took me to a dark room, it was so dark that I could barely see anything. He locked the door and left.

A few minutes later he turned on the light. As the light flickered on, I blinked in stunned silence. The room transformed from a dark prison to a romantic sanctuary. Flowers of every color surrounded me, their sweet fragrance filling the air. Gifts of all shapes and sizes adorned the tables and shelves, each one carefully wrapped and ribboned.

Alex stood before me, a sheepish grin spreading across his face. "Surprise," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.
