Elena’s POV

As we returned to New York, Daniel's expression turned serious. "Elena, I want you to move in with me," he said, his voice firm but gentle. "I can't guarantee your safety if you're alone."

I hesitated for a moment, but the thought of being under Alex's constant threat was unbearable. I nodded, and Daniel's face relaxed into a smile.

His penthouse apartment was a fortress, with state-of-the-art security and a team of bodyguards. I felt safe for the first time in weeks.

Daniel's eyes gleamed with determination as he picked up his phone. "It's time we take down Alex once and for all," he said, dialing a number.

His manager, a no-nonsense man named Martins, answered on the first ring. "Daniel, what can I do for you?"

"I need you to investigate the death of Elena's parents," Daniel said, his voice firm. "I want to know if Alex was involved."

Martin’s voice was crisp and efficient. "Consider it done, Daniel. I'll have a team on it within the hour."
