Elena’s POV

“Hey looking for something”. Daniel whispered.

“Oh, Jesus!!” I exclaimed with fear.

I was just on a secret mission on who Daniel was on call with. But how did he figure out that I was trying to sneak in and know what he was talking about?

“Seems like you don’t trust me well enough Elena and if we must do this, you need to trust me and that’s the truth”. Daniel spilled out in anger

I stood there, frozen in fear, as Daniel's words cut deep into my heart. I knew I had been caught red-handed, and I didn't know how to explain myself. "Daniel, I...I was just worried about you," I stammered, trying to come up with a believable excuse.

But Daniel just shook his head, his eyes flashing with anger. "Worried about me? By sneaking around and spying on me? Elena, that's not trust, that's distrust." He took a step closer to me, his voice low and menacing. "If you can't trust me, then maybe we shouldn't be doing this together."
