Chapter 7

I was led to a big room, so big that a gasp left my lips as soon as we entered the room. I tried my best to remain calm as we walked to the middle of the room where there was a big wooden table.

At the top of the table, there was a man, he was wearing a shiny black suit and his eyes were the lightest shade of blue that I had ever seen. I could see them from the other side of the room. As I got closer to the table, I saw two other men sitting beside him. They all sat very upright, their faces very business-like and hard.

The lady that brought me stopped at the other end of the table and pulled the chair out for me. I thanked her quietly, and she bowed her head to me before leaving. I was confused. Why was she bowing to someone like me?

“Hello” I said, trying to break the silence that lingered.

None of them said anything, they just kept staring at me intensely. So, I tried again.

“Can you please tell me where I am?” I asked, directing the question to all three of them.

This finally snapped them back to reality. They stopped staring so intensely and the one in the middle finally replied.

“My name is Jacob, Alpha to the bloodmoon pack. This is Christian ,and Damon” he said, pointing to the others too.

“Christian is the Alpha of the silverclaw pack, and Damon is the alpha of the moonshadow pack.”

I stared blankly at them.

I knew them, everybody knew them. The three most powerful pack leaders in the entire district.

Then slowly far started creeping in, what did they want with me? I should not have demanded answers from them like that. They could snap their fingers and have me beheaded in an instant.

I wonder if they had a deal with Master to take me and bring me to him when I was fully recovered.

“What is it? So you don't have a voice?” Damon said harshly.

“W…what?”I stuttered. I had never been this close to people as powerful as this and my hands were starting to tremble.

“Go on, tell us your name” he said again.

“Oh, I'm sorry. My name is Olivia ” I said meekly, I had to act respectful or else they could kill me. I had heard rumors about what they had done and I knew how ruthless they were.

“Who are you and how did you end up in the woods?” Christisn asked.

“I was captured as a little girl when the rogue pack inserted my pack. They killed a lot of people, including our Alpha. They took me and some of the other children with them to become slaves”

“So you've been a slave?” Jacob asked. He's the only one who seemed interested in my wellbeing and he looked at me with kind eyes when he spoke to me.

“Yes, Alpha,” I said.

“That still doesn't explain how you got in the woods,” Christian said, looking annoyed. Like he had a lot of better things that he could be doing at this moment.

I had no idea why they all decided to summon me. Maybe they thought I was a spy from the rogues and I was sent here to extract information.

I had to be careful, if I said the wrong things, they could kill me.

“ I am so sorry, please forgive me.” I said immediately, his tone had shifted and he sounded annoyed and I had to do everything in my power to stay alive.

I had no idea how I had survived after I had been stabbed by a weapon that powerful but I knew that they had helped me, and now I had to help them, before they realized I was useless and disposed of me.

I strained my memory to find something that was useful to them, but I could not seem to find what was being discussed in my master's throne room that made him want to kill me. It had to be important information because he never ever bothered with mere servants like myself.

“Answer me,” christian said.

“Keep quiet and stop scaring her, her hands are trembling already,” Jacob said firmly. He shot an annoyed look at christian before turning to me.

“It is okay if you do not remember much right now, all we need to know is how you got injured and you can go back to rest some more” he said.

“I overheard something that I should have not heated in my master's chambers and he ordered his guards to chase me down,” I explained, quietly.

“What did you hear that could have been serious enough to cost you your life?” Damon asked, he looked like he was wondering in his mind, and not directing the question to me, but I answered anyway.

“I cannot remember that tight now, but i promise to try my best” i promised, fear still flooded my heart as i stared at them. The three most dangerous alphas were in front of me. Everybody had heard stories of them and here I was sitting in front of them, and still breathing.

I could feel their stares on me as I stared down at the table.

“Would you like to go back to resting?” Jacob asked me.

I was not sure if that was a trick. Master used to ask us questions and expect a particular answer from us. If you were not sure about the answer that he wanted to hear, it would be better to remain quiet, because if you did not give him the answer that he wanted, he could throw you in the dungeon. Sometimes, he would remember, but other times, he would forget that he had put someone there and would never order for the person to be released.

I did not know the answer that Alpha Christian was expecting so I just bowed my head and stared at the table.

“Olivia, did you hear me?” he asked.

“Yes Alpha” I said, scared that he was about to punish him for ignoring him.

He sighed and signaked for the maid that brought me here. She came to my side and gently placed her hand on my arm.

She helped me up and started leading me back.

“Get some rest, we will check up on you again tomorrow” he said, while the other two kept quiet.

“Yes alpha” I said, careful not to walk too loudly in case that annoyed them.
