Olivia.

I was escorted back into the same room that I was staying in before. The maid kept her hands on me as she led me into the room. I thought of asking her for an explanation, but I remembered how they had reacted before when I had asked.

They all looked scared to offend the alphas, and I understood that because I was also scared. I had no idea what their intentions were, so I made up my mind that I had to escape from this place.

I scanned the room for a way to escape. The door outside was guarded by two guards, so there was no way that I could escape through there.

As I was thinking, I sensed my wolf becoming stronger. I had missed her as we had not communicated since I ran away from the rogue pack. She needed to gain her strength back, so I let her be without trying to communicate with her.

“Do you need anything?” the maid asked.

“What is your name?” I asked her.

She stared at me for a long time before looking around in fear, like she was scared that she might be caught answering my question.

“Gina,” she said. She looked younger than I was.

Before I could ask her any more questions, she said,

“I would bring you your dinner since you did not eat with the alphas”

That was when I realized that I had gone to dinner, but I had not eaten anything at all. I was too scared of saying the wrong things that might end up with me being sentenced to death.

She scrambled away as I sat down on the soft mattress.

Five minutes later, she came back with a plate of steaming food. I could not remember the last time I had eaten something as luxurious as this.

All i had eaten for the past few years was the liquid porridge that they had served at the pack. All the servants lined up at night to receive the porridge and could not complain because if we did, we would not receive anything for the next week.

Seeing a full plate in front of me was overwhelming, and I began to feel suspicious.

Was it poisoned?

Were they trying to make me too comfortable here?

Did they have something sinister planned?

Even if they did, I had no idea why they would choose me for this. I was not important in any way.

Before I could think too much, the savoury smell of the food came to my nose, and I could not resist it any longer. As soon as it was placed in my hands, I began eating it immediately. I ignored all my previous thoughts until i finished the food. I wiped the plate clean before dropping it.

Gina picked it up and took it away immediately. I was done. I waited for a while for the poison to start working, but it never did, which means it was just a normal meal. I sighed in relief and became happy that I had eaten the meal. At least now I would have enough strength to run away when I finally found a way.

I looked outside the window, and it had already gotten dark. Gina came back into the room and smiled shyly at me.

“It is late now, miss, we will leave you now to rest. If you need anything at all, all you have to do is ring the bell on your bedside table” she said.

I nodded, still confused by this treatment. Did they think I was someone important enough to be treated this way?

Maybe they had mistaken me for someone who looked similar to me.

That had to be the only reason they were still keeping me alive. I had to make sure that I escaped before they figured out that I am not so important.

Before I could reply, all the maids in the room walked out in a single file. They closed the door, leaving me alone in the room for the first time since I woke up.

I scanned the entire room to begin thinking of an escape plan. The room seemed very secure. I looked out the window, but the floor seemed too far for me to jump. If I jumped, I would either break my bones or die from the impact.

I remembered the number of guards that lined the hallways. I knew that they rotated the guards so that even when everyone was asleep, they would still have people who were on guard.

I sighed, i had no idea how i would escape, and i could not stay here too long because of how uncertain my future was. The only option i had was to gain their trust so that i would be allowed to go outside, and then i would make my escape from there. It was not going to be easy for them to trust me to be by myself.

I sat down on the bed and felt how soft it was, I had no idea when sleep took me away.

Olivia. I felt a small spark of excitement in my chest. I hadn’t been to a mall in more than ten years. The last memory of being in a mall was when I was nine, before our pack had been raided. My parents took me there to get a birthday present. I shook my head to clear the memory and sighed. I did not want to think about my parents. The door opened by the side and I looked out to see the driver holding it open and I was embarrassed. I had gotten lost in thought and everybody had gotten out of the car except me. Damon was standing outside, looking at me expectantly. I quickly climbed out of the car and went to stand in front of him. “we have to get some necessary things” He said, and started walking inside. I quickly followed behind him so that i wouldn't get lost but it turned out that wasn't necessary, because the crowd of people were parting as he walked. Some of them had fear in their eyes, and the rest had admiration. He walked fast, so i struggled to keep up

Damon sat in his office with his hands on his head. He had been informed that the Alpha Council had requested a meeting with him, Christian, and Jacob that morning, and he was contemplating what to do. He knew this day would come, which was why he had taken Olivia to his sister’s training center to begin combat training. He knew what the council wanted, and he knew it was unavoidable, but he was racking his brain to think of a way to get Olivia out of this situation. He did not know how the council found out she was already awake. That must mean there was a snitch within the staff in the packs, and he decided to check it out later, after they had figured out what to do. Just then, he heard a knock on the door, and the door opened immediately after to reveal Mia in a skimpy outfit and pouty lips. He had to admit that she was extremely beautiful. That was the reason he had chosen her to be his mistress—that, and the fact that she did not ask too many questions about things that did not

OliviaThe door swung open to reveal a maid standing there. I hadn't seen any of the Alphas in days, and instead of feeling relieved, I felt worried. Had they finally realized they had picked the wrong person? Were they deciding how to discard me now that I was of no use to them? My mind went into overdrive, thinking of ways to escape before she stepped inside. She stood at the door with a dress in her hand, and I automatically knew what that meant.“The Alphas would like you to join them for breakfast,” she said as she placed the gown on the stool near the bed.I smiled at her and sighed. I was about to find out what was going on. I wasn’t sure, but my mind kept going back to the conversation Damon and Jacob had the day of my training. After that, the driver had been the one picking me up and taking me to Alexa’s gym. The training sessions had become more difficult, but I was handling them better. Still, I was nowhere near Alexa’s level.I got dressed and looked into the mirror. I lo
