Alexa had asked me to warm up for a while as she spoke to Damon. I had gone over to the mat and had started stretching. I had never exercised a day in my life, much less fought, but I still tried to do my best. I was clueless, but they did not have to know that.
Alexa seemed nice enough, and I was glad to finally have another female to talk to, but I was not going to let my guard down just like that. She was his sister, after all, and I did not know what exactly was going on in this pack yet. I heard shouting and looked over at them to see that their conversation had gotten heated. Alexa was raising her voice, but Damon had a cool expression on his face, and he did not look like he was agreeing with her. After a while, their voices went down, and Damon left the building, leaving me alone with his sister. Then I realized just how weird this situation was, but I was still too scared to question it. Alexa now looked like she was in a bad mood compared to how happy she was when we first came in. The training was quite easy, and it looked like she was going easy on me because she somehow sensed that it was my first time doing anything physical. Whenever we had a break, I would try to summon my wolf again, hoping that the physical movement would make it wake up, but I still got no response, and I was getting really worried now. I had heard of people’s wolves dying without them, and then they had to go on to live a sad and miserable life without their second halves. They had to live like common humans except that they knew what they had lost and what they could never get back. That life sounded like a nightmare, and I pleaded with myself that Eva would wake up again and my hidden wolf instincts would finally help me understand this mate situation. “So… Olivia, how are you finding our humble pack so far?” Alexa asked, finally breaking the silence. I hesitated for a moment before answering, trying to choose my words carefully. I didn’t want to say anything that would make me seem weak or clueless, even though that was exactly how I felt. “It’s… different,” I finally said. “I’m still trying to figure everything out.” Alexa nodded as if she understood. “That’s fair. It can be overwhelming at first.” Her voice was lighter now, but there was something guarded in her expression. She was studying me, probably trying to figure out what I knew. Or what I didn’t. I glanced at the door Damon had walked out of, wondering what he and Alexa had been arguing about. Whatever it was, it had clearly frustrated her. Before I could ask, she clapped her hands together. “Alright, enough talking. Let’s go again.” I sighed, shaking off my thoughts, and got back into position. I still had no idea what I was doing, but I needed to learn something so she would not think I was wasting her time. I was going to do everything in my power to make them not suspect me of anything. The rogue pack was intense and horrible, and I still had nightmares about the suffering that I went through there. A training fight would never be as bad as that place. I took a deep breath and mirrored Alexa’s stance as best as I could. My arms felt awkward, my legs shook, but I refused to look completely helpless. She studied me for a moment before lunging forward. I barely had time to react before she swiped at my legs, and I lost my balance a little. My heart pounded as I tried to regain my footing. “For your first time, you may not have trained before, but you’re not completely hopeless.” I wasn’t sure if that was a compliment or an insult, but I decided to take it as a mix of both. She attacked again, and this time I managed to dodge. But before I could feel any sense of accomplishment, she hooked her foot behind my ankle and sent me falling onto the mat. “Argh,” I muttered, pushing myself up. She smirked, but there was something almost approving in her gaze. “You need to be ready for anything. The moment you let your guard down, you lose.” I wiped my sweaty palms on my pants and exhaled. I had no idea why I was here, training when there were guards everywhere I had been to. She stepped back, letting me catch my breath. “So… about your wolf. You’re still not hearing her?” I stiffened. I hadn’t told her that. How did she… “I can tell,” she said as if reading my thoughts. “The way you move, the way you hesitate. It’s like you’re fighting blind.” I swallowed hard, my throat suddenly dry. “I don’t know what’s wrong with her.” Alexa studied me, her expression unreadable. Then she sighed. “We’ll figure it out. But for now, let’s keep going.” I nodded, pushing my worries aside. If my wolf wasn’t going to wake up and help me, then I would just have to do this on my own. I steadied myself and raised my fists again, determined not to let her knock me down so easily this time. She gave me a small nod, then moved in faster than before. I barely dodged her first strike, but she wasn’t giving me time to think. “Stop hesitating,” she said sharply. “You won’t always have time to second-guess yourself.” I gritted my teeth and forced myself to react instead of overthinking. When she went for another low sweep, I jumped back just in time. A flicker of satisfaction rose in my chest, but it disappeared the moment she moved to the right and hit her palm against my shoulder. I fell again, losing my balance. Alexa offered me a hand. “Better,” she said. “But you still need to trust yourself.” I hesitated before taking her hand, letting her pull me up. My body ached, and I was getting frustrated, but I would not say anything in case she told her brother and made my life hell. “I’ll get it,” I said, not loud enough for her to hear. She smirked. “Good. Let’s go again.”My training with Alexa had been easy yet tough and I wondered how often we would do this, but I did not have the mind to ask her because I still wasn’t sure about my place. When we had finished she gave me a bottle of water and went to shower saying that she had somewhere else to be soon, and Damon would be here to pick me up soon. I had a feeling that she excused herself because she did not want to be here when Damon came, due to the argument they had before. After about ten minutes, Damon showed up. He was wearing a suit and looking exhausted but I did not ask. I did not know how he would respond to it. He had a reputation of hurting people for the slightest things. I once heard a rumor that he killed someone just because he did not like the way he chewed his food.I shook the thoughts out of my head. In the rogue pack, when we spent hours scrubbing the blood of the walls in the dungeons and feeding the forgotten prisoners, we had a habit of telling far fetched stories to keep ourse
Damon sat in his office with his hands on his head. He had been informed that the Alpha Council had requested a meeting with him, Christian, and Jacob that morning, and he was contemplating what to do. He knew this day would come, which was why he had taken Olivia to his sister’s training center to begin combat training. He knew what the council wanted, and he knew it was unavoidable, but he was racking his brain to think of a way to get Olivia out of this situation. He did not know how the council found out she was already awake. That must mean there was a snitch within the staff in the packs, and he decided to check it out later, after they had figured out what to do. Just then, he heard a knock on the door, and the door opened immediately after to reveal Mia in a skimpy outfit and pouty lips. He had to admit that she was extremely beautiful. That was the reason he had chosen her to be his mistress—that, and the fact that she did not ask too many questions about things that did not
OliviaThe door swung open to reveal a maid standing there. I hadn't seen any of the Alphas in days, and instead of feeling relieved, I felt worried. Had they finally realized they had picked the wrong person? Were they deciding how to discard me now that I was of no use to them? My mind went into overdrive, thinking of ways to escape before she stepped inside. She stood at the door with a dress in her hand, and I automatically knew what that meant.“The Alphas would like you to join them for breakfast,” she said as she placed the gown on the stool near the bed.I smiled at her and sighed. I was about to find out what was going on. I wasn’t sure, but my mind kept going back to the conversation Damon and Jacob had the day of my training. After that, the driver had been the one picking me up and taking me to Alexa’s gym. The training sessions had become more difficult, but I was handling them better. Still, I was nowhere near Alexa’s level.I got dressed and looked into the mirror. I lo
Olivia. My heart churned as I ran through the dense, moonlit forest. My bare feet brushed against the forest floor, leaves and twigs. The wind blew through the trees, bearing with it a sense of haste that rhyme with me.Stealing a glance over my shoulders, I felt my breath harshed as I caught glimpses of the guards chasing after me. They didn’t seem like they were going to give up.My chest raced with exertion, but fear pushed me to keep running. I must not get caught.. Getting caught means that I will have to face my Master’s wrath. I cannot bear that. I have seen other weak wolves like me die while he punished them, he was the most notorious Rogue. Living as a maid in my master’s house has been horrible, all the work we had to do, his rude guests and supporters that made my life a living hell whenever they came to visit him.Humiliating my pride as a weak wolf, making me live in misery. The other weak wolves were treated this way too. They were stronger and always wanted to pic
Olivia.Just when I thought I had truly escaped, two hands grabbed me, I spun around, eyes wide, knowing that the guards had caught up with me. Panic surged through my veins. They made me kneel, circling me like they were protecting me.They were six in number, their faces were covered with masks, dressed in black clothing that made it quite easy for them to hide and blend when I thought I had lost them in the forest. Their presence reeked of an unsettling energy. One of them had a band tied on his head, he was the strongest amongst the six, that was the way of identifying their ranks. He took a step forward and pulled my chin up.“Please don’t kill me. I'll do whatever you want.” My voice trembled as I begged. The leader with an intimidating voice and aura spoke in a low, menacing tone, “We are not here to kill you. Our Master has ordered that we bring you back to him alive and untouched.”My mind raced in fear, that must not happen. I can’t face Master’s wrath. “Please do not take
Third person.Damon.The Moonshadow Pack, Silverclaw Pack and the Bloodmoon Pack were three neighboring packs. They were the three strongest packs in the territory led by three of the strongest wolves. The three packs only mixed to do business and to exchange goods but they were hostile to each other because their leaders didn't like each other. There was once a time when these three packs were one, but there was a great battle between them and the pack was destroyed. The pack members chose different leaders to rule them and so they created three different packs from one big pack. That was a long time ago and the packs had different Alphas then. The Alphas of the packs had changes since then and they were all different. Damon was the Alpha of the Moonshadow pack. Christian was the Alpha of the silverclaw pack, and Jacob was the The only thing they shared was a priest. Third Person. “Damon isn’t here,'' the priest asked, sitting on the chair. “I said this was urgent.”“You should not ask us about him. We are not friends with that arrogant bastard,” Christian said. He was annoyed because of the reason why he had to be at the meeting. As usual he wanted to decline the priest’s invitation like he normally did but he had been seeing things that unsettled his mind.“Something must have delayed him,'' Jacob said in Damon’s defense. Damon was truly arrogant like Chrsitan said but he wanted their feud to end. If it was not going to end, it would not be worse.“I am sure he will be here soon,” he continued, just then Damon entered the priest's house.“You must think we are a big joke, uhn?” Christian confronted Damon. “We were told to be here immediately!” He got up from the chair he was sitting on, then moved closer to Dmaon.Damon ignored him and went to sit in front of the priest without saying a word. Jacob pulled Chrsitian back to his seat. “Stay Calm.
Chapter 5Third person.Christian, Damon and Jacob all stepped out of the priest's house and started towards their packs."You heard what the priest said, we have to go and look for her," Jacob said."I have some business to attend to, I'll meet you when I'm done with it" Damon said as he kept walking."You can do that later, now we have to go find her," Christian said, walking towards Jacob."Yes, the priest said she might be in danger," Jacob said."You don't tell me what to do, okay?" Damon said."We didn't tell you anything, the priest did," Jacob said, trying to calm them down."I already told you I'll meet you" Damon said again."We all have to be there if we find her" Christain growled, taking a step closer to Damon "If she will help save my pack then I need to find her and I'm not going to let you stop that so let's go" Damon took a step closer to Christian and soon the were face to face. Both their eyes were already changing to gold to show that they were about to switch to

Olivia. I felt a small spark of excitement in my chest. I hadn’t been to a mall in more than ten years. The last memory of being in a mall was when I was nine, before our pack had been raided. My parents took me there to get a birthday present. I shook my head to clear the memory and sighed. I did not want to think about my parents. The door opened by the side and I looked out to see the driver holding it open and I was embarrassed. I had gotten lost in thought and everybody had gotten out of the car except me. Damon was standing outside, looking at me expectantly. I quickly climbed out of the car and went to stand in front of him. “we have to get some necessary things” He said, and started walking inside. I quickly followed behind him so that i wouldn't get lost but it turned out that wasn't necessary, because the crowd of people were parting as he walked. Some of them had fear in their eyes, and the rest had admiration. He walked fast, so i struggled to keep up
Olivia.I had been in my room when Jacob knocked on the door and walked in. He said he had something important to discuss with me and asked me to meet him downstairs. I nodded and got ready and went down the stairs. He was waiting by the door with a smile on his face that I still did not trust. He had explained things to me. He explained that when they saved my life, I had become their mate. I did not know what that meant but I was starting to understand why all the staff in the mansion respected me. They all attended to all my needs. My Wolf, Eva, was still healing, but I was starting to get worried. I knew the injury I had sustained hurt her a lot, but I needed her to wake up as soon as possible. She was my closest friend and I had gone too long without shifting.I stopped thinking about that and looked at Jacob. He had slowly become a friend and answered all my questions patiently. But I still had it at the back of my mind that I needed to escape. I did not need them to make me
Third person.Damon.Damon woke up earlier that morning and had a meeting with his council of elders. The meeting ended sourly and he went back to his room to rest.He had seen Mia that morning but passed her by because for the first time in a long time, he did not feel like having anything to do with her. What was going through his mind was Olivia, and it had been that way since the last time they had lunch together at Jacob's Villa. It was like he couldn’t get her out of his head. Something about her voice, her eyes, the way she bowed her head when she spoke, and the way her voice always came out slowly and cautiously, like she wasn’t sure what to say to them remained in his thoughts. She still looked like she didn’t trust any of them, and he had tried his best to bond with her, but he could not understand why she was not taking the opportunity to be close to him. A lot of women would have thrown themselves on him when they found out who he was. But it seemed like she was closer to
OliviaI was alone in the room now, Jacob had gotten a call about important business that he had to attend to and he had left the table in a rush, waving me goodbye.I was still confused about a lot of things but at least I knew where I was and how I had gotten here. But knowing that had left more questions in my head. Why would they go through such a sacred ritual to keep my life when they had no idea who I was?Had they mistaken me for someone else? What would happen when they figured out that I am just an ordinary slave? What prophecy was Alpha Jacob talking about?I made up my mind that I did not need the answers to them. I needed to find a way to leave this place immediately. I looked around. The only option to escape was the windows and I would surely die if I attempted to escape through there.Just then, an idea popped into my head. The staff in the villa seemed to respect me or at least not pay me any attention. I slipped my feet into slippers and started walking out of the
Third person.Jacob kept thinking about what Olivia had told them. As a child, her pack had been raided and she had been taken as a prisoner and turned into a slave. He had heard stories of how the slaves were being treated in the rogue pack, but he had never imagined that it was as bad as that. When they had found Olivia, she had looked starved, with scratches all over her body. Her eyes were sunken in and she was beginning to look like a skeleton. When she sat at the table earlier that evening, the fear in her eyes was very evident, she looked like she was picking and choosing her words so as not to offend them. He had done his best not to make her scared but Damon and Christian had made her scared. He started thinking of ways to make her feel more comfortable. She was staying in his villa. He had put her in one of the best rooms in the villa and made sure she had enough maids to order around if she needed anything, but she still seemed scared. He knew what he had to do. He had t
