Coincidentally, they both settled on the same thing. There were pieces of chicken, salad, fried rice, and a sandwich.

“You look troubled,” Katherine said, taking a bite of her chicken. She sometimes sends him a look of concern. In fact, Kathy did not want to be asked just to not appear as being nosy.

“Do I?” he asked with a bitter smile. Rick looked at her intently but remained silent.

“Yes, or am I reading it wrong?” She questioned, feeling embarrassed with the way he was looking at her. She then hurriedly added, “Ah… You really don’t need to tell me. I… I’m sorry for asking.” Katherine was feeling apologetic.

But since earlier, she had noticed that he seemed to frequently look by the window as if he was expecting someone to storm in anytime and confront him, or was it them.

Rick looked at her, wondering whether or not it was right for him to tell her what was bothering him.
