Melanie and Katherine looked at each other in shock. The story looked like a script from a movie, and none of them would have believed the story had it been told to them by someone else.

“Will you support us? Me and my baby?” Melanie asked. She just wanted an assurance that they were on the same page.

“We will. Until you’re able to be on your own,” Glen said.

Jenifer was in her room drinking herself silly when she heard the voices in the living room.
