SELENA'S POV

"The bodies here are obviously left for about more than five years, how did you found this place?" the investigator asked.

After what we saw yesterday, I decided to do a DNA test to know if they're my parents. Jacob is against this idea, but I badly want to know if my parents are really alive or not.

"When I'm taking a tour around this house to buy it, I heard a weird noise here, that's why I found this place." My lips automatically closed after I said a lie to them. They must not know that I'm here for other reason, they may suspect me by killing these persons.

He nods, "This house is familiar to me... where did I see this house? Ah, this is the house of Kristopher Silvenia," he said while roaming the whole place using his eyes.

"How did you know?"

"Hmm?" he looked at me and smiled, "Kristopher Silvenia is so intelligent to invent Gorsthia that helped many people back then. That robot didn't make the other people jobless, like what they feared before, it makes the economy good instead."

I smiled at him, "They are perfect persons like what others said. Where are they been now?"

"No one knows where they are, after Gorsthia became a hit in this country, they disappeared. All of his family, actually, even their daughter."

My brows furrowed, "They have a daughter?"

He nods, "Hmm, she's maybe the same age as you if she's still alive. We need to go now, we will call you when we already get the result."

I bowed at them and watched them to go. Jacob walked closer to me, "Do you want to have a coffee first?" he asked as he holds my shoulder.

"You can go now, I need to find something in this house," I smiled at him and about to walk, but he also walked beside me.

"Maybe, I can help."

We didn't talk too much as we walked around the house. I saw a little girl running around and entered the kitchen area, my feet automatically followed her. A lady and the little girl are there, they're talking while their smiles never fades on their faces.

"Mommy, can we eat tacos for tonight?"

The mother caress her cheeks, "Of course honey, did you finish your assignment?"

Little girl happily nod her head to her mom, they hugged each other. My heart beat raced when her mom looked at my eyes and said, "I love you," as they disappeared in my front.

A run from little feet echoed again in the whole house, she's running now at the back of the house, there are many kids waiting for her. My forehead creased when I clearly saw their faces, they're my friends and husband, they are so happy while playing different games.

Another lady came out from the house, "Oh, Raven's mother," I whispered and covered my mouth. She walked closer to the kids that are playing, she wiped the dirt, sweats and protecting them while they're playing.

"Nanny Karen, play with us," the little girl that I'm following said while convincing the lady to play with them.

Nanny Karen? Nanny Karen...

The lady named, Nanny Karen, puts down the towels that she's holding and chase the kids. Their laughter is like a melody to my ears, they're so soft and natural. Nanny Karen's eyes locked to mine, my tears streamed down to my cheeks when she smiled at me and slowly disappeared with the kids.

Little footsteps again caught my attention, I peeked inside the house, she's now running upstairs. I immediately followed her, she opened a door of one room. While I'm roaming the whole room to find that little girl, my feet bumped onto something underneath the bed.

I get it, and it's a briefcase that full of dust, "What's this?"

Many papers and pictures are in the inside of that briefcase. I pick it one-by-one and read them.

"Marriage Certificate, Laura and Kristopher Formosus..."

There are so many pictures that made my head to explode, I closed my eyes to ease the pain on my head while holding the pictures. When my headache fade a little, I stared at a picture, that their entire family is holding a cotton candy.

' "You want this?" mom asked while pointing a cotton candy, I happily nod at her, I love cotton candies!

Dad wiped my mouth, "You're so messy when eating a cotton candies, tsk." I pouted at dad, mom slightly slapped his shoulder, "She's just only five years old, it's normal at her age."

"You don't love me now, daddy?" I asked, my eyes are tearing up. Dad immediately shook his head and pat my head, "Daddy always love you, okay? I'm just teaching you to be more clean to yourself."

I throw the cotton candy at the trash bin, it's against my will, but I want to be a good girl to daddy. Mommy walked to me and shake my body, "Why did you throw your cotton candy?"

"I don't want daddy to be mad at me. He was mad at me because I'm eating cotton candy."

Daddy lift me up and bought me another cotton candy, "This little kid, you're really like your mom."

"Hey, you're ruining my image again to your daughter!"

Daddy bought mommy also a cotton candy, and we all laughed and took a picture of us.'

I wiped my tears, there's a feeling that my heart is so heavy while looking at these photos. Another picture piqued my interest, there are two girls in the photo, I'm certain that the girl on the left is Haxilla.

' "Serena, when we grew up, you'll not forget me, okay?"

We did a pinky swear, she hugged me again and gave a bracelet.

"Why are you giving me these?" I asked, she points every bead of the bracelet.

"Each of the beads are the years that we should keep as best friends." '

"Selena? Where are you?" Jacob's voice woke me up, I immediately pushed back the briefcase to its place.

"Oh, what are you doing there?"

I shook my head at him and closed the door, "I'm just checking on something. Let's have a coffee." He nods at me and assist me to walk down the stairs.

"Did Jaxon knows that you're doing this?" he suddenly asked while driving.

"No," I closed my lips and sighed, "He never picked up his phone when I'm calling him. Maybe, he's just busy working with Maxine."

LERION'S POV

"Did you find them?"

[We have a problem. They found the bodies, and it's being investigated now.]

I pushed the girl that's sitting on my lap and walked out of the club, "Where they are now?" I asked while preparing my car to go.

[They're heading to a coffee shop now.]

I hung up and called Seriana, "They already found the bodies."

[What?! How? What are we going to do now?]

"Pack all your things and book a flight to any country. We can't be put in the jail."

[H-how about you? What are you going to do?]

"I need to remove the pest in our life. Do what I say now."

I parked quite far away from the coffee shop that my man sent me. There's so many people at the coffee shop, it's hard to see them from here. Shit.

An old lady knocked at the right window of my car, my eyes widened when I saw who is it, "G-Gloria."

She smiled at me, but her eyes are full of anger, "Don't run, Lerion. You have nowhere to go now."

"Can you just stay away from me? Don't meddle with my business," I said with a sound of irritation. This old lady always meddling with my business since my childhood, she never left our side and it's so annoying.

"That girl," she pointed the girl that is walking towards a car with a man, that's Selena, the wife of my son, "She is a strong wall that no one can break down. You tried to destroy her many times, yet she's still standing, stop now, Lerion."

She's just a stone that can be powdered in one touch, she is so fragile. It's easy for me to turn her down, and no one can't stop me now. I start the car to follow them.

"Hit two birds in one stone."

JAXON'S POV

"This is the next steps of the company when the contract signing has done. You can see how useful and helpful the plans, not just for us, but also to the people who will work and lives around the site..."

"You're so good at the meeting earlier, Jaxon."

Maxine link her arm to mine, but I removed it and walked ahead from her. While the elevator is climbing up, Selena is running again on my mind, I want to talk to her badly, but Maxine threatened me if I answered a call or voicemail, either messages to Selena, it's not hard for her to kill my wife.

I never touched my phone or even opened it because Maxine wiretapped it, that bitch. When the elevator stopped, Maxine met me, but I ignored her, she pulled me back to face her.

"Maxine, I'm tired."

She gets her phone and showed me a picture that Selena is with Jacob, they look like from a coffee shop. What hurts me more is she's laughing with Jacob, my fist clenched, while staring at the photo.

"While you're working hard here, your wife dating with your enemy. I don't want to show you this, but you need to know anything regarding this kind of situation."

I throw her hands off and walked straightly to my room. It's impossible that Selena will do that to me, we're already married and why out of all the people, why Jacob? That man almost drown me in debt before just to prove to anyone that he's better than me, he's now holding my woman's hands, and he made her laugh.

My fist throw a punch at the mirror in front of me repeatedly until my knuckle bleeds. I felt numb now, there is no pain that my body to let in, there's nothing more hurtful to saw and know that your love is betraying you behind your back with the man that you despise the most.

I want to think that this is all just a plan of Maxine, but I know how Selena laughs in happiness, and that laugh was shown on that photo. It's just only one month since I left her, yet she already found a new one? The heck.

MAXINE'S POV

"Why did you do that? You hurt yourself."

"I told you that I'm fine," he insisted and trying to pull back his hand, but I hold on it tighter to clean and aid his wounds.

My heart is jumping on happiness because my plan is working. I want to smile widely in front of him, but he'll be suspicious of me. Well, at least I know that their relationship now is at the edge of the cliff.

"Maxine."

"Hmm?" I answered while putting band-aid on his wound.

"Let's drink at the bar later. Be beautiful."

After he said that, he left me at my seat while my mouth is opened because of shock. Am I dreaming? Did he really want me to drink with him? Aaahhh, how long it's been since he asked me to drink with him.

"Do I need to wear a black one or red? The red one is better," I throw the black fitted dress back to the bed and wear the red one.

My cleavage is shown at this dress, but it's not that seducing, well maybe a little. It's backless, and the skirt is not that long or short, I paired it with my laced stilettos

"You're so sexy and beautiful now, Maxine." I said to myself and left my room to go to the bar.

My jaw dropped when I saw how hot Jaxon is at his opened polo that shows his chest and jacket, her hair is kinda messed that made him hotter and sexy. I bit my lips and cleared my throat to get his attention.

"You're here," he said coldly, without even a praise to my look now. Hello, I prepared so much to be ignored like this, it hurts, fudge.

I pour a wine at my glass, "Why do you want me to drink with you."

"Just because."

"Ha," I rolled my eyes and drink the wine that I poured, "If it is because of what Selena did to you. I'll be better to go now—"

My eyes widened when he suddenly kissed me and moved his lips immediately that make my body to be hot in no time. This guy, he never failed to make me happy.
