SELENA'S POV

When I opened my eyes, a bright lights met me. Am I dead already?

"Selena? Do you hear me?" a voice asked me, I looked at my side and I saw Haxilla's face in front of me. My head is hurting for too much.

"What happened?" I asked when I realized that I'm at the hospital. Haxilla put down her belongings and sat beside me.

"I'm the one who should ask you that, what happened? If Jacob didn't pick up your phone, probably something bad happened to you."

My brows furrowed, "I called him?"

She nods, "Hmm, he said that he's in the middle of the meeting when you called."

"But..." I stopped when I'm trying to remember the things happened that day. I'm holding a phone, my heart feels so heavy that I can't breathe properly... "I remember now."

Haxilla caressed my hand, "I'm sorry for putting you in this kind of situation. I didn't know that this is will be the outcome of my decision, all I want is to protect you."

"That's fine, I understand," She looked at me with a shocked reaction, I smiled at her, "That's how siblings protect each other. Your way to protect me is quite selfish, but it's fine."

She hugged me tightly and cried at my back. I hugged her back, tapping her back to comfort her, it's so comfortable to hug someone that you lost for a long time.

"Mommy! Aunt Selena!"

We both looked at the door when Hershey shouts and ran to us. She hugged her mother first, she pouted when she saw tears on her face, "Did Aunt Selena made you cry, mommy?"

"No, mommy is just happy," she laughed, but her tears can't stop from falling. I looked at Raven, he smiled at me.

"Don't stress out yourself for too much again, hmm? Take care of your child," he said while looking at my stomach. I'm relieved that my baby is still here, that day that I passed out, the thought that my child will also leave me played at my mind freely. It made me scared, but I'm lucky that she's strong enough to fight.

"Aunt Selena, there's a baby at your tummy?" Hershey asked, I nod at her. She walked closer to me and looked closely, she even rests her hand to feel if there's really a baby.

She pouted, "You're lying. I can't feel anything that is moving." We laughed, I caress her face and looked at her eyes, "My baby is kinda shy to other people, that's why she didn't move when you touched her home."

Her eyes widened, "This is her home?" she asked while pointing to my tummy, "She ate, sleep, and play there?"

I nod at her, "You're just like her when you're still at your mother's tummy. That's your first home."

She looked at Haxilla, "But... I'm too big to be on my mommy's tummy."

"Hershey, don't ask many questions to Aunt Selena, she still needs to rest," Haxilla said to her daughter, Hershey nods at her.

Raven's phone suddenly rang, "Oh, Wade is calling. Hey, bro! What's up?"

[Nothing much, Britanny wants to check Selena. Here, honey.]

Raven gave me the phone, my eyes widened when I saw Britanny breastfeeding her baby, "Oh my gosh! You already gave birth!" I exclaimed, she smiled at me, her smile is quite weak. Maybe, she just gave birth this past few days.

[We're now just waiting for your child. By the way, I heard from Raven that you passed out, what happened to you?]

"The Doctor said that it's because of stress, but I'm totally fine now."

[Did Jaxon went home already? I thought it's just a three weaks business trip? It's already been over two months since he left.]

He is now happy with Maxine. There is no reason for him to go home anymore, he has already a new home now. Perhaps, we met first before he met Maxine, but she's his first love as far as I know, it's hard to erase her to his heart.

[Selena, are you okay? Did I make you uncomfortable?]

"Hmm? No, I'm just thinking of possible reasons why he didn't get back to home now. He's possibly busy or something. How are you there?"

[We're fine here, thank you for asking. Ah, I need to hang up now, talk to you next time. Get well soon.]

"Thank you, stay healthy to all of you."

I hang up the call and gave back Raven's phone to him, "You talked to Jaxon before you passed out, aren't you?" he asked.

"Yes, but it doesn't last long. He needs to hang up immediately because of an emergency meeting," I lied. I don't know how I can tell them the truth... that Jaxon was cheated on me.

"Oh, thanks God, you're awake." We all looked at the door when Jacob entered, "I... didn't know that everyone is here. I'll go back—"

"No, no, it's fine, we're also about to leave now," Haxilla get her bag and hold Hershey, "Sel, we will back later at night. Get well soon, bye."

"Thank you, take care."

When they're all gone, Jacob walked closer to me, he put the fruits that he bought at the table. I'm just watching him until he speaks first, "How are you?"

"I'm fine, by the way, thank you for bringing me here that day."

He smiled at me and hold my hands. I looked at our hands, it doesn't feel uncomfortable, but when I'm thinking that I'm already married to be touched by other man, made me feel bad. But, he's just worried for me as a friend, why am I so paranoid?

"That's nothing, two lives will be lost when I didn't go there at your house quickly," he laughed and peeled an orange.

"That time, I thought its Haxilla's number. I'm sorry, she told me that you're in the middle of an important meeting when I called." I eat the orange that he gave to me. He laughed and messed my hair.

"Don't worry about it, you're more important than that meeting."

I stopped chewing when I felt something from what he just said. Did he just say that to make me comfortable with him, or he has other meaning for that? Did Jaxon also talked to him to take care of me? But it's impossible, they treat each other as an enemy.

Why do all the things happening around me become more complicated now?

"Hey," he snapped his fingers to wake me up from daydreaming, he laughed at me and gave another orange, "What's that deep thought you're thinking about, huh?"

"Why are you doing this?" I suddenly asked. His smile faded for a second, he looked away and pouted his lips.

"What do you mean?"

I sighed, "It feels odd that my husband's enemy is helping me. You should be make my life miserable now since your enemy isn't around you."

He looked at my eyes, I suddenly felt guilty from what I just said because of his eyes, "He's my opponent in business world, but we used to be friends before. He helped me a lot, so helping you is the only way I think to pay him back."
