ALEXA'S POV

"Alexa! Alexa!"

I looked at Haven, who is running hurriedly towards me, "What's the matter?" I asked.

She showed me her phone, an article is there, Sir Jaxon and Ms. Maxine are the thumbnail of that article, "Read it."

She let me get her phone, so I can read properly the article. My eyes widened while reading it, this must be a fake news, there's no way that Sir Jaxon will do it to his wife.

"That's fake news for sure," I said and give her back her phone. She stomped her feet while shaking my shoulder, insisting that it's real. "Haven, please, we have so much to do here to believe that kind of shit."

"It's real." Konrad suddenly appeared at her back. He told Haven to leave my office, he looked at me while dropping off the documents that I asked him.

"Don't tell that you believe it—"

"Sir Jaxon told it to Haru, and he told it to me, that's why I know that news is real."

My heart beat raced while my lips are parted because of this unpleasant surprise they made for us, "You're joking. Tell me that you're joking."

His serious stares at me answered me. I leaned while holding my forehead, this kind of scandals are inappropriate for them to do. This will make a huge mess in company's pride.

I was about to get my phone to call Selena, but Konrad immediately hold my hand to stop me, "Don't call her about this. Sir Haru said that we shouldn't interfere with this."

"What?! Are they insane? When they will be going to tell this to her?" I asked him with full of frustration and tapped his hands to let go of me. He chased me, but I ignored him. Selena must know about this, these things shouldn't be kept secret from her.

"Selena, I need to tell you something," I said immediately, in a second that she picked up the call.

[What is it?]

I bit my lips, why do I feel that there's something stopping me from telling this to her? My chest suddenly tightened because of nervousness and feeling bad for her.

[Alexa? Are you still there? Hello?]

"Ah, nothing. I just want to check if you're doing well."

God, why am I tearing up? This will be hurt her so much, but it's her right also to know anything about her husband, especially this kind of issue.

[Thank you for concern, I'm fine. I need to hang up now, let's meet in some other day.]

She hung up the call. I'm staring at the floor while thinking her situation when she finds out, it'll be like a hell to her, and the fact that she's pregnant now worsen all the things. I was about to get back to my office when Konrad blocked my way.

"You can't also tell her, right?"

I silently nodded my head, he pulled me closer to hug and comfort me, "Be strong for her, she will need you if that time will come. Don't show her that you're also that affected on her situation."

"I can't imagine how hurt it was for her. She's waiting for him peacefully without knowing that she's waiting now for nothing, it made me feel so bad for her."

He kissed my temple, "Just let them solve this problem, don't interfere with them. You want some milk tea to calm you down?"

I nod my head, he held my hand while we're walking to cafeteria. The fear and sadness are now mixed up at my heart. Selena is too soft to cope with this.

SELENA'S POV

"I'm fine here, thank you." Jacob said while smiling at me.

"I'm really sorry for the attitude that Haru showed earlier, maybe he's just having a bad day that's why he's like that."

"I understand him, don't worry." He waved at me while walking to his car. I turned my back to get back at Haxilla's house.

I'm scrolling at my feed, my forehead creased when Jaxon's photo suddenly passed, but before I read the whole article, I heard someone is sobbing.

"Why are you crying, Hax?" I asked. She's in Raven's arms while sobbing at his chest. They looked surprised when I saw them in that situation, they awkwardly stood up and looked at me. "What happened?" I asked again.

Haxilla shook her head, "Nothing happened, don't worry. Let's go in."

She pulled me to go inside, we cleaned all the mess from the birthday celebration. They all acting weird around me since I get some pies from the kitchen, did I act disrespectful earlier?

Raven looked so worried to me and Haxilla, while his wife is always spaced out, her eyes are also a lot of tears stocked. What happened? Even Wade, Haru and Britanny are acting odd. Did they let me live just to be confused on their actions?

"Don't use your cellphone for the mean time." Haxilla commanded all of a sudden. My brows are furrowed while looking at her.

"Why is it so random?"

"Just listen," she looked at me solemnly like if I dare to use my phone now, she wouldn't hesitate to kill me, "That is for your own and child."

I was about to talk when my phone suddenly rang, it's Alexa calling.

[Selena, I need to tell you something.]

"What is it?"

Haxilla is glaring at me. I ignored her and walked away to talk to Alexa more comfortably. She's not speaking for almost a minute, the other line is so quiet.

"Alexa? Are you still there? Hello?"

[Ah, nothing. I just want to check if you're doing well.]

My forehead creased with her answer, she doesn't sound like that. She really wants to tell me something, but something bothering or stopping to tell it, perhaps.

Haxilla pulled me to face her, that made me panicked for an unknown reason. What the heck is happening to me?

"Thank you for concern, I'm fine. I need to hang up now, let's meet in some other day."

"Did she told you something?"

"You're listening to our conversation?"

"Answer my question."

I sighed, "She just asked me how am I, that's it."

She's still glaring at me. Seriously, what have I done wrong to make her so mad? Is she on her period to have this kind of mood swing?

"You know what, if you're just going to glare at me all night, I should go home instead of seeing you like that."

I walked away from her, Hershey met me and giving me some chocolate, "You look stressed Aunt Selena, it can help you."

"Your mother need it more than I do. Excuse me."

I get my things to get ready, when I'm about to open the door to go out, Haxilla suddenly spoke from my back, "If you don't want to ruin your child's life, don't use your phone."

"What the hell is your problem, Hax?" I frustrated asked her as I drop my things and looked at her. They're all surprised because of my attitude, but I can't help it, they all making me so confuse. "You're just literally sobbing in Raven's arms earlier, and now you're talking to me like I did terribly wrong at your back."

"I'm just protecting—"

"I already know about it, but can you enlighten me first, why are you acting like that all of a sudden?"

She bit her lower lip and looked down. See? She can't even speak up, how can I understand them? I'm not also a mind reader to read what's going in their heads.

She sighed, "Fine, go home now. Use your phone, but if something bad happened to you, I already warned you."

After that, she turned her back and slammed their room's door. Raven tapped my shoulder, "I'll drive you."

"No, it's fine. Stay with them, I can handle myself. Happy birthday again."

JAXON'S POV

"It's already spread on all social media accounts and newspapers. Ahhh, I'm really happy for the both of you!"

"Do you really need to do that?"

"What do you mean?" Mr. Reynan asked me. I looked at them, they're all stunned.

"Do you know how huge the mess that you did?"

Maxine hold my hand tightly, "Stop it," she whispered, but I ignored her. Mr. Reynan chuckled and leaned while his arms are crossed, his eyes are locked on mine.

"Who of us started the mess?"

"You didn't clean it, you made it worst."

"Am I?" he asked sarcastically. His smirk is shown, also the fire in his eyes, he's already pissed off. I can already feel Maxine's trembling hands because of fear on her father.

He stood up in front of me and bent down to be closer to my face, "Watch your words. If you're not the father of my grandchild, I would've killed you right away."

"Do it."

"No! Dad, no!"

Maxine immediately stood between to stop us. She said something to her dad, he walked out of the room, his wife followed him. I was about to walk out too, but Maxine pulled me to stop me, "Let's talk."

"We don't have anything to talk to." I threw her hand, a sound gun made me immediately turned to face her. She's smirking while pointing the gun on her temple, she's crazy.

"What the hell are you doing?! Put it down, Maxine!"

I get the gun off her hand, "What are you doing?" I asked when she suddenly hugged me.

"You really care for me."

"Stop it, I just don't want to be accused of murder case," I said and pushed her away from me.

"Can't you just love me like how you love me before?"

"Everything has changed now, Maxine."

She suddenly laughed, "Do you think Selena is still waiting for you?"

Her question made me stopped from picking up my coat, what does she mean? Of course, Selena is waiting for me, she loves me so much.

She showed her phone to me without a saying a word. The pictures show that Jacob and Selena are together, but they looked closer than before.

"She's happy now with your enemy, do you think your name still crossing on her mind if another guy already occupied it?"

I moved away her phone away from me, "That's fake." But, deep inside, it crushed my heart into ashes. It's all my fault, after all, I'm the one who did this to her first.

Maxine sat beside me, "I also think that Selena is not a kind of girl that letting the son of those peoples who killed her parents to be with her forever. If I were her, I must've felt like hell and torturing me every day and night that I'm with you."

"Are you done?" I asked that made her surprised, her lips were parted while looking at me. I stood up and take my coat to go out.

BRITANNY'S POV

"Haru, we really need to tell this now to Selena." Britanny said while walking back and forth at our front.

"She knew it already."

We immediately looked at Wade, he's holding his phone and texting someone. "What do you mean?" I asked and sat beside him to take a look at his phone.

"Jacob found Selena lying unconsciously in the bath tub. Her phone flashed the articles about Jaxon and Maxine."

I covered my mouth while reading their text messages, Jacob even send a picture that Selena is sleeping at her bed.

"How did Jacob saw her at their bath tub?" Haru asked.

"Jacob said that he forget to give his small gift for Selena. He came back to Haxilla's house, but they said that Selena already went home, so he went there."

"Let's go to her house—"

I'm about to stand up, but Jacob suddenly called.

"How's Selena? Is she okay? We will go—"

[Don't bother to go here.]

My knees weakened when I heard Selena's voice, it's obvious that she's from crying and tired from all of this.

"W-why? We need to see you."

Wade and Haru are asking me by their looks, I shook my head and hold my forehead because of the wrong decision that we made. We should've told this to her as early as we read about it, we're so coward.

[I don't want to see all of you for the mean time. Bye.]

My tears fell down to my cheeks as she hung up the phone. I can feel that she's already losing her trust for us, it feels like hell. We don't want to feel her like that towards us because we're just thinking of her and her child. She's getting weaker and weaker as the time pass by.

Wade hugged me tightly and rubs my back, "That's fine, it's also hard for her to be in this situation."

"Do you think if we tell her earlier about this, she'll still trust us? We already lied about her whole life, this is too much for her. It's all my fault."

"Don't blame yourself. Stop crying."

"I'll go to her house." Haru suddenly said.

"She doesn't want us to show on her house, are you listening?!" I shouted.

Haru just smiled, "I can't let her be alone this time."
