HARU'S POV

"Where are you going?" Jacob asked as he stopped at my front. I ignored him and continue my walk to Selena's house, he suddenly pulled my arm to stop me again.

"What's your problem?! I just want to check if Selena is fine," I shouted at him.

He smirked, "She's not that well, so please, go back wherever you're from because any moment now, Selena will wake up." And motioned the way out of this house.

I put my hands at my pocket and directly looked at his eyes, "What's your plan?"

"What do you mean?"

"I know you're planning something, that's why you keep on getting close with Selena."

He laughed and tapped my shoulder, "You're so observant, Haru. That's right, I'm doing this to get her trust and my business will run smoothly."

"What?!" My forehead creased, my fist clenched and any moment from now, it's not impossible for me to punch his face.

"But, do you think if you tell this Selena, she'll believe you?" He shook his head, "Of course, no. I'm the only person now that she's trusting now."

"How dare you—"

"Haru!"

We both looked at the stair where Selena is standing by the support of grills at the side of the stair. I put down my hand that was about to punch Jacob's face, even she's weak, she pushed me away from Jacob.

"Go out now." She is looking at me coldly, her eyes are blank, that's why I can't read what's her emotion now. I walked closer to her, but she keeps on walking away from me.

"Selena, he's fooling you—"

"Do you think I'll believe you?"

I blinked many times, the things surrounds me like stopped for a second because of her answer. Jacob totally poisoned her mind, he used the situation and took advantage of her weakness. I saw how he smirked at me and shrugged, like he's saying, 'I told you.'

"Go out now, please." She pushed me out, I didn't fight her anymore because I'm thinking about her child.

She shut the door loudly. I punched the wall near me, that bastard, he really made us untrustworthy for Selena. While thinking, how can I say to Selena that she's just being used, my phone rang.

[How is she?] Britanny asked.

"She's not well. I have an important thing to tell you."

I hopped in to my car and drove quickly to their house.

[What is it?]

"I'll tell it when I got there."

I hang up the call and focused on my driving.

"What?! Why you didn't do anything?!" Britanny asked hysterically.

"I can't. When I saw her tummy, it made me think that it's better for now that she didn't know anything about it."

"Here we go again. How can we let her be played by a man who have other intentions to her? What if he plans to kill her?"

Wade pulled Britanny down to his side to calm her down, he looked at me, "Did Haxilla already know about this?"

I shook my head, "I'm not sure how can I tell this to them."

He sighed, "It's hard to move against him now, it's impossible that Selena will also be hurt if we do a move. Let's tell this to Jaxon."

I laughed sarcastically, "Do you think he even cares about his wife? He cheated on her."

"He's still her husband on paper. Maxine is the one who doesn't have any rights here, he still needs to be responsible as Selena's husband," he said. I put my head at my palms, it became more stressful now.

"But, why do you think Jacob doing this?" Britanny suddenly asked after a long silence.

"Company," Wade answered her, we have both brows furrowed at his answer, "He's using Selena as a bait to get his want from Jaxon's company here."

"What would it be?" I asked.

He shrugged, "Who knows? Anyone will do everything to maintain their position at the top."

JACOB'S POV

"Are you okay?" I asked her while assisting her to walk to her room. She nodded and looked at me when we're already at the door.

"I'm sorry for what happened."

I messed her hair and smiled, "That's fine. You need to eat now, you're going to take your medicine."

While I'm fixing her bed, she holds my arms that made me stop and looked at her. She's smiling sweetly, even you can see how physically, mentally and emotionally weak she is. This is the time that I've been waiting for.

"Thank you for taking care of me like I'm your younger sister," she said. I stand up straight and tap her shoulder.

'You're going to die anyway.'

"How many times do I have to tell you to stop thanking me because of this? Just think that I'm doing this as a responsible as your big brother, okay? I'm going to cook your food for you."

She nodded, I'm walking now downstairs and waiting her to shut her door. When she already closed her door, I immediately get my phone to talk with Maxine.

[What?]

"Is it true, or you just made it up?"

[Of course, it's true. I'm two months pregnant now.]

"Nice, congratulations."

[Thanks. How's your job about Selena?]

"You made it easy," I laughed, "She really drained her strength about the news, it's easy now to manipulate her."

[Still, you need to be more careful. Their friends are not an easy one.]

"You're wrong. Since Selena lost her trust to them, it's not easy for them to talk with her. I'm the only who she's believing in."

[I didn't expect that this will be easy for us.]

"Yeah, what are we going to do again if Jaxon transferred his shares—the whole company, rather to us?"

I hang up the call and starts cooking the food for Selena. I can't stop myself from smiling because the smell of our victory is already coming. Who said that money can't buy happiness?

While waiting the food to cook, I call my men to prepare the big surprise tomorrow night.

Selena is reading a book while leaning at the headboard of her bed, she smiled at me again when she saw me. Keep on smiling now, you'll be a worm later to get the big fish that we want.

"Thank you. You can eat with me."

I shook my head, "That's fine, just keep on eating, so you can get back your strength."

"By the way, I'm wondering how your company run while you're busy taking care of me?" she suddenly asked while eating.

It'll run smoothly if your husband transfer the company's property to me.

I smiled, "They are trustworthy to let the work on them."

"I see. Are you sure you're not going to eat?"

"I'm really fine. You need to take your medicine now."

She finished her food and take the medicine at her side. The glass almost break because she slammed it at the table, she holds her forehead.

"Are you okay?"

"I... I suddenly felt dizzy. Can you take this out of the bed? I want to sleep, argh."

I take out the mini table and let her lay down.

I'm giving you warnings to stay away from Jaxon, but you ignored it. You should've thought twice before you entered that damn company.

Love always ruin everyone's life. That's so bad.

"Is everything prepared already?"

[Yes, sir. When we will go to pick you up?]

"I will call you. Make sure that there will be no interruptions tomorrow, you're all dead if we fail."

[We will make sure of it.]

I hang up the phone and looked at Selena, who is deeply asleep. Be happy for my surprise, okay? I put too much effort in it.

HARU'S POV

"She's not answering her phone."

"Hax, how many times do we have to tell you that she doesn't want us to talk to her?" Raven asked her.

Haxilla sat down and hold her chest, "I keep on getting this feeling that something bad will happen to her."

"Stop being paranoid, she's just on her room," I said while monitoring Selena using a GPS device that I put on her earlier.

Haxilla slap my arm hardly, "Why do you always tell this kind of things so late?!"

"But, you didn't need to slap me, that's rude. Raven, are you fine staying with her?" I asked him, but it's only a joke.

Raven pouted his lips while shaking his head, "Sometimes, I feel that she's going to break every bone in my body every time she's doing that."

Haxilla stood up and almost kill Raven because she felt offended and betrayed. While they're killing each other, I'm watching Selena's every move.

It seems like she can't stay still at her room, the signal of the GPS is going everywhere at their house; in the kitchen, laundry, bathroom, literally everywhere.

Raven and Haxilla both looked at me when I called them, "Look at this."

I pointed the red dot, it's Selena, that is going everywhere at their house. It's weird for her to tour the whole house at this time.

"Why she's walking literally everywhere?" Raven asked.

Haxilla's brows are furrowed while watching the monitor, "Is she looking for something? It's odd for her to walk like that."

"Yeah, when I saw her earlier, she's really weak. She even needs someone or something to stand up for long."

"I don't want to think about this," Haxilla and I both looked at Raven when he talked, "What if she's just putting an act?"

"That's impossible. Even you, if you can see her posture earlier, you'll also say that she's weak." I defended. He shrugged and sat in front of us.

"Where did you put the GPS device on her?"

"At her bracelet, she never takes that bracelet away from her."

He nods, "If that's the case, she's really walking around her house."

Haxilla poked me, "What if Jacob noticed it?"

I shake my head, "It's too tiny to notice. Since her bracelet has red beads on it, you can't easily notice it."

"Speaking of Jacob, did you meet him?" Raven suddenly asked. I closed my mouth and thinking more than twice if I should tell them what Jacob told me earlier.

"Yes, we met. He stopped me to see Selena because she told him to do it."

"For sure, you talked a little before Selena entered the scene, what did you talk about?"

My heart beat raced because of Haxilla's question. I didn't expect that she knew that kind of scene can happen to us, what am I going to do now?

They're already in panic that Jacob is the one who is with Selena's side now, what more if they knew about his plan to her? They will be going to explode for sure.

"Haru, I'm asking you."

I sighed and looked at them, "Ahm..."

No, I can't. Things will be going to worse if they know about it, it's fine that I'm the only one who knows about his plans. I can think properly and made up a plan to save Selena, even though they need to know it, everything will be ruined if they're going to interfere.

"Haru." Haxilla called me in a solemn voice. She's scary every time that she's like this.

"Alright, he has plans, that's why he's doing this to Selena." I said quickly.

Raven's forehead creased, "What kind of plans? He is using Selena for something?"

"I knew it," Haxilla suddenly exclaimed as she slammed the table, "There's something bad with his 'help' to Selena. I always find his actions odd."

"But, please, don't do anything without proper plans. If we move carelessly, two lives will be gone. We need to be more careful, take a side in your emotions, please?"

Haxilla looked away from me, Raven is staring at me while tapping his fingers together like he's thinking of something. I put my head down, and I saw that Selena is staying again at her room, somehow I feel relived.

"What are we going to do now?" Raven suddenly asked.

"Pardon?"

"What are we going to do now? You said that we need to have a proper plans to save Selena from him, what is it?"

I didn't answer him, instead I put my head down again. To be honest, I don't have any plans either.

"Let's just talk about it tomorrow, we're too occupied now to talk about it." Haxilla suddenly said and walked away to go to their room.
