JAXON'S POV

"Your parents are now in jail..."

I ignored her and continued doing my reports. Once the contract ended, I can go home now with Selena—

' "You still want to go home?" Maxine asked, my head is so heavy. Did I drink too much?

"Of course, Selena is waiting for me."

She put me on her front and looked in my eyes, "She cheated on you, she's happy now with Jacob!"

My lips parted when I remembered the photos she showed to me, Selena's laugh there is different. She caressed my face, smiling like an innocent with pity on her eyes.

"Don't think about her anymore, okay? Just think about us, I'm the one who is here for you, not your wife."

Those eyes are convincing me that she's telling the truth, and I must trust Maxine on everything. I shook my head to wake up myself, the promise we made in front of the altar must not be broken. Selena can't cheat on me, I trust her more than myself.

I stood up straight and turned my back to walk by myself, but the hallway shook, I almost fell to the floor. Maxine assisted me to walk to her room.

She sat on my top, my body started to heat up. Fuck this alcohol.'

I sighed, "Good for them."

"What?!" she stood up at my front and slammed the table, "Did you hear yourself? They're your parents, you should have something to do to get them out of the jail."

"Do you think when I did that, they'll change their selves?" I looked up at her, her face covered with a shocked reaction, smirk formed at my lips and got back to my work, "They just showed you that you're better than Selena, you're now eager to help them out. You didn't even know what kind of persons they are."

"What?"

I stood up and held her shoulder, "Don't be so desperate to have me back, Maxine. That will never going to happen."

HAXILLA'S POV

"Y-you told her everything?"

Please say no. Say no.

"Yes..."

My lips parted as my tears fell. I know now how regretful the things that I've done before, the worst is she's pregnant now, and the stress can affect her pregnancy. She can lose her child in just a snap.

Nanny Karen sighed, "... she deserves it to know anyway. We can't keep this secret from her, forever."

"W-what happened to her after your conversation?"

"Of course, she spaced out, and she's crying inside, that was the worst feeling, when you don't know how to let out your emotions. A guy gave her a ride to go back to their house," she explained. I can't calm down myself, I'm worried about her and her baby. She'll be more depressed if she lost her baby.

I stood up and hurriedly get my purse, "I need to go now. I need to see her."

Nanny Karen held my hand to stop me, she looked at my eyes and shook her head, "Don't. Stay here, let her be alone for the mean time."

"But—"

"If you show up there, you're just making the situation worst. She didn't even look back at me when I called her many times earlier, you'll just be making her more upset."

I sat and bowed my head, Nanny Karen hugged me. This is not what I'm expecting before, everything turned upside down. I thought that when Selena known about her past, she'll be grateful, but I'm too idiot to have that kind of mindset before.

SELENA'S POV

I understand everything, but why do they need to make me take that medicine just to forget what happened to me before? Isn't that too much? I'm all grown up now, suicidal thoughts in my mind can be controlled.

Argh, shit. I felt that I'm being played by them, that feeling that you looked an idiot in front of many people that you've met before because you don't know anything. Plus, the fact that I believed my parents are still alive and supporting me, are all lie. I feel so deceived right now, they can say that truth, at least to me, why do they need to make me fool for everything?

I get my phone and tried to call Jaxon, we didn't have a conversation, even a minute, since the day he left, I don't have any news about him. My eyes widened and my hopes up, when his phone is ringing now, it's not dead.

MAXINE'S POV

"Jaxon."

He looked at me with those cold eyes, as usual. I smiled at him, "Do you have a time tonight? I feel so tired because of the meeting."

"Get a massage service, if you're that tired."

My shoulders fell down, I looked around in the conference hall, and saw that only the two of us left. I locked the doors that made his forehead creased, "What are you doing," he asked.

I walked slowly closer to him and started to seduce him by sliding my hands at his chest, "We're the only person here, you love thrills, right?"

He's just staring at me without any emotions. I wrapped my hands at the back of his neck and pulled him closer to me, he holds at the table that I'm sitting for the support. Our lips are just inches away from each other, yet he doesn't seem intimated from what I'm doing at him.

"Why can't you just love me back?" I asked him, we're staring at each other's eyes. The whole room covered with an awkward atmosphere, it didn't work, so annoying.

I'm about to stand up, but he pinned me back to sit at the table. His hand held the back of my head and kissed me slowly and full of lust, I pushed his head to deepen our kiss. My body heated up in no time.

"Why?" I asked when he suddenly stopped.

"It's uncomfortable here," he pulled me out of the conference room and entered his office. I immediately copped his face, kissing him like there's no tomorrow. He locked the door and closed the windows.

"Jaxon..." I moaned when he sucked my neck, it'll leave a hickey for sure. He undressed me, fully naked, he also did that on himself. I pulled him to lay down on the couch.

SELENA'S POV

Why does this day is full of lies? Have I done terrible before, that's why I'm being punished like this? I'm the victim here, I'm the one who is fooled here, why do I need to be punished like this?

My stomach and head suddenly hurt terribly. I can't breathe properly, my hands and feet are numb, I'm too weak to stand. My hands crawled at the floor to find my phone.

"Ahhh!"

I tapped my phone and called someone to help me. I don't know whose number I dialed, as long as they can help me—ahh.

JACOB'S POV 

"Hello? Selena? Where are you?"

"What's wrong, Mr. Morelli?"

I looked at the board members, we're having a meeting, when Selena called for help. She's in a critical situation, based on her voice. "I'm sorry, something urgent came up."

They gave me a confused look, but I didn't have enough time to explain. Selena's phone is off, what happened to her? Tsk.

"Sir—"

"Give me my keys." When he gave me my keys, I started the car and hurriedly drove to Selena's house.

"Selena? Where are you, Selena?"

I opened all the doors in the hallway, looked at the possible place where she can be. A noise on the second floor made me to go there, a door is opened, when I entered the room...

"Selena, what happened to you?"

She's lying on the floor unconscious, her eyes still have tears on it. I lift her to bring her to the hospital, my heart beat raced when I remembered that she's pregnant now, she can lose her child.

I stepped on the gas to make the car faster, "Haxilla?" I dialed her friend's number using her phone.

[Hello, who is this?]

"Go to St. Claire Hospital. Hurry, your friend needs you."

HAXILLA'S POV

"Where are you going? Who called you?"

I ignored Raven's questions and got my purse quickly to go to the St. Claire Hospital. Raven followed me, he started the car and gave me a ride.

"What happened?"

"Someone called using Selena's phone, saying that we needed to go to the St. Claire Hospital. Perhaps, something bad happened to Selena," I explained while biting my nails, wishing that she's fine, "Drive quickly, Raven."

He stepped on the gas to drive swiftly. This is what I'm scared of if ever that she will know everything, she can't control well herself and something like this will happen. Argh, her child, I hope her child is strong enough to stay with her mother. I don't know what may happen when Selena loses her child now, she'll be more depress now.

When we arrived at the hospital, I immediately ran to the emergency area, Jacob was walking there back and forth while holding Selena's phone.

"Where is she?" I asked, he looked at me with a surprised expression, "How is she? What happened?"

He sighed and gave Selena's phone to me, "She called me for help, when I got to their house, she's lying on the floor unconscious. The doctor isn't done yet to check her," he looked at the phone that he gave to me, "It looks like she talked to Jaxon first before he called me."

My forehead creased and checked the call logs, she called to Jaxon many times, but her call earlier was the answered one. Did something happen between them?

"Who is the guardian of the patient?" the doctor asked, Jaxon and I raised our hands. I want to ask him when did he become Selena's guardian, but it's not the important thing right now.

"She passed out because of too much stress, her baby is fine, let's say that your friend is lucky because the baby is strong enough to keep in her mother's womb. When she regains her consciousness, don't ask her about the things that can make her stressed. I'll go ahead." He bowed and walked past to us when we're done for thanking him.

I looked at Jacob, "Thank you for answering her call. You may leave now if you still have something important to do."

"You're welcome," he looked at the bed where Selena is sleeping now, "Please give me a call when she wakes up."

I nod at him, he met Raven while walking out of the Hospital. "He was the one who called you?" he asked as he approached me.

"Yes, she found Selena unconscious, lying on the floor. Thanks to him, my sister is not in a critical situation now."

He shrugged, "I feel something bad for him. By the way..." He gets his phone at his pocket and showed me something, "Britanny gave birth yesterday, it's a boy."

My eyes widened and jumped because of glee, "Oh my gosh! He's so cute!" I ran to Selena and held her hand, "Sel, Britanny already gave birth to their baby. Wake up immediately, okay? We need to see their baby in person."

Raven is smiling at me, "Oh, Wade and Haru are calling," He put the camera on our front, "Hey, long time no talk!"

[Silly, you're the only one who didn't pick up his phone.] Haru said while eating. Haru isn't here, he's doing some business in London.

[Are you at the hospital too?] Wade asked.

"Hmm, can we see the baby?"

Wade turned the camera to his sleeping wife and child, Britanny gained so much weight because of her pregnancy.

[Where's Selena?] Haru asked.

"She's sleeping," I answered.

I looked at Selena that was peacefully sleeping, "She is too tired to sleep at the hospital."
