52. Rossie Anger

Rossie started to get suspicious because recently Marco rarely came home to the mansion. The luxurious mansion that was used as his headquarters and residence with Rossie and his other subordinates looked very different without Marco's presence. Rossie, who was busy taking care of Gabriel, soon realized that her older brother had not been home for a long time. After leaving Gabriel's room, Rossie approached Marco's study and met her brother's right hand.

“Why doesn't Marco ever go home to the mansion? Does he have work out of town?" Rossie asked.

She asked because she already had a bad feeling. However, in order to break this feeling, Rossie finally asked Marco's men who were at the mansion. To be more sure, Rossie also asked Marco's right hand directly.

"Mr. Marco no longer has work outside the city. However, it seems like he really has other work that needs to be done quickly.”

"Fast? He hasn't been home for two weeks. Are you sure he's okay? I'm starting to worry.” Rossie presses for answers from Marco's confidants.

"Yes. He must be fine. He was just practicing somewhere.”

Rossie narrowed her eyes and looked at the man in front of her suspiciously.

"Does he have a girlfriend?"

“Why do you ask like that? That's not something I know. I only know about work.”

Rossie took a deep breath. The girl was doubtful about Marco's right-hand answer. She was sure that Marco was hiding something; that's why Rossie tried to find out from her brother's confidant.

“I just feel like he's been acting strange lately. It's like he's hiding something from me. You don't feel that way?”

Marco's confidant just shook his head. Even though Rossie is intimidating, Marco's confidant doesn't seem afraid. He will only submit to his superiors.

“I never saw him close to anyone. He's too busy, so he doesn't have time to date." That answer also didn't make Rossie relieved. He don't know why the girl still doesn't believe it.

“You said you only knew about work, right? This means that maybe Marco does have a girlfriend, but you don't know. I'm getting curious."

“I told you that he was just training somewhere because he didn't want to be defeated by the enemy.”

“Then tell me where it is!”

"Excuse me. That order can only be carried out by Mr. Marco.”

Rossie frowned. She finally gave up and left Marco's study to look for her other men. Rossie asked her other subordinates to look after and supervise Gabriel, because she had to find out about Marco.

“Make sure you take good care of it. Don't make any mistakes!”

“Yes, young madam.”

“And let me know if there are any signs of consciousness from Gabriel. "I have to go now," said Rossie.

She grabbed her bag and car keys, then left the mansion to look for Marco. The other bases had been visited, but Rossie still couldn't find Marco. Asking the subordinates at the headquarters did not produce any results. Finally, Rossie went home empty-handed.

However, when she arrived at the mansion, it turned out that Marco was already there. With quick steps, Rossie approached Marco and bombarded the man with lots of questions.

"Where are you from?"

"Work."

"Lie!"

"Rossie, I told you that you don't need to interfere in my business."

Rossie was annoyed with that answer. However, seeing Marco's tired face made the girl understand and finally choose to remain silent. Marco immediately left the living room and walked towards his study. Rossie didn't stand still. She decided to go into Gabriel's room and check on the man's condition.

"Marco, you didn't help the mafia leader look for Kate, right?" Rossie asked suddenly while they were having breakfast together.

Seeing Rossie's unfriendly gaze made Marco uncomfortable. The man just cleared his throat as he diverted the conversation by asking about Gabriel's condition.

"If there is no possibility of recovery, it is better to just send Gabriel back to his parents' house. Let his parents take care of him. "Why would you bother taking care of a man who clearly likes other women," said Marco.

Rossie banged the spoon and fork on the table, making quite a loud sound.

"This is not the time to talk about Gabriel!" Rossie emphasized.

“Then why are you also talking about Kate? Aren't we having breakfast?"

“I just don't like dealing with that woman! If you don't kill her immediately, then I will kill her myself!"

“Rossie, killing is easy. However, washing your hands of a murder case is not an easy thing for a doctor like you. Just improve your career and don't think about useless things like that.”

Marco left the dining table, even though he hadn't completely finished breakfast. The man went straight to his study and annoyed Rossie. Rossie is still suspicious of Marco's attitude. She was sure that Marco would help Leo find Caterina's whereabouts.

Rossie lost her appetite for breakfast and decided to check on Gabriel's condition. However, before she had time to open the door, Rossie saw Marco walking quickly from his study. Rossie also asked his men to check Gabriel's condition and immediately follow Marco's steps. While he was lying on the terrace, Marco's car had already left the yard at high speed.

Rossie immediately chased him. Her suspicion and curiosity made her feel like she had to follow Marco secretly. Rossie carefully followed Marco's car from behind until she finally arrived at a headquarters.

Rossie seemed frozen for a moment. She didn't even know that Marco still had another base. She quickly followed Marco's steps and was surprised when she saw Caterina there.

"Sorry for asking you to come so early, but I need your permission to use a firearm," Caterina said when Marco arrived.

"It doesn't matter. You want to train this early?”

"Yes. I will hone my skills while I have time.”

“You're really diligent, Kate. Then take it. I allow you to use firearms with the condition that you be careful. Don't hurt yourself because you need to be physically strong to fight Leo later," said Marco.

They seemed friendly when chatting. This made Rossie very angry. Her hands clenched tightly at her sides. Her breath rose and fell because she saw Marco smiling at Caterina. The fact that Marco was lying alone made her angry, plus seeing their closeness made Rossie curse Caterina.

“I'll make sure that bitch dies by my hands!” cursed Rossie.

With a bright red face, Rossie swore that sooner or later, she would make Caterina stiff. However, because she realized that Marco would side with Caterina, Rossie tried to suppress her anger. Instead of attacking and killing Caterina now, Rossie decided to strategize and find the right time to resolve her hurt.
