Chapter 12

"Excuse me?" Mason said, and I saw how Carla rolled her eyes.

Mason was about to say something, nang pumasok ang prof namin. Agad na nagsibalikan sa kani-kanilang pwesto ang mga ka-block namin. Mason was about to sat beside me, nang harangan ni Gertrude ang upuan sa tabi ko.

"Maraming upan," Gertrude said as she roam her eyesaround the room, "dito na ako. Find your spot."

Nag tiim bagang si Mason, "What? You own this chair? Move, lady. I will be thr one to sit beside Chelsy. I'm her fiancé," mapag malaking sabi ni Mason pero hindi natinag si Gertrude.

"Well for yoy, fiancé mo siya. Sa point of view mo lang, pero for Chelsy, you're just an ordinary Engineering student, and same goes with her friends. Kaya iksw umalis," Matapang na sagot ni Gertrude.

"Mr. Chua and Ms. Yesan, what's going on there?"

Ngumiti ng malapad si Gertrude kay prof, "Nothing mam," nilingon ulit ni Gertrude si Mason, "alis na. Ano pang ginagawa mo?"

Mason left and moved to seat behind me. I looked at Gertrude on my left, and she's just paying attention to what our professor is saying. I looked at Carla on my right and she's also looking in front, pero nilingon niya ako.

"Ano ho iyon?" Carla asked. Hindi ko alan kung nang aasar ba siya o ano.

I immediately shook my head, "Wala. Thanks by the way, sa pambabara niyo sa kanya."

"Anytime sissy. We got you," kinindatan ako ni Carla, before her gaze went in front again.

Tumingin na rin ako sa harapan, so I could pay attention to what our professor is saying, nang biglang nag vibrate ang phone ko. Pasimple ko iyon kinuha sa bag ko and hid it under my desk.

From: Sebastian

Wait for me later sa tapat ng buliding niyo

To: Sebastian

I know, I know, you told me like a hundred times already

From: Sebastian

Haha, huwag ka magalit bb 😘

Lihim akong napangiti and I glanced in front para hindi halata na I'm using my phone right now.

To: Sebastian

Yuck! Baduy mo! Makinig ka na nga sa lectures mo

From: Sebastian

Yes ssob! Huwag ka n amag reply, dahil baka hindi na ako makinig pa sa lectures ko. I love you bb 😘

I smilrd while looking at my phone screen, before I put my phone inside my bag again. Whrn I looked at my friends, they are looking in front, but I can see their smirks plastered in their faces.

"Chismosa," I whispered, but they heard it.

Gertrude leaned on my side, "Sanaol may jowa," she whispered, and Carla also leaned on my side, "walang forever."

Napailing nakang ako. If we're not having a serious lecture today, baka mga nasapak ko na ang dalawang ito.

Break time came, and as soon as I went outside our building, I saw Sebastian leaning on the well while looking at our main entrance of this building. His hands are inside the pockets of his slacks.

"You're early," bungad ko when I reached his side.

I saw him bit his lower lip, before pushing his tounge on the insides of his cheek, "Maaga na dismiss, mabait kasi ang prof."

"Hi Sebastian!"

Sabay kaming napalingon ni Seb nang batiin ni Carla si Seb. She's with Gertrude, and they're both standing beside me, looking at Seb.

"Hi Carla," Seb greeted and looked at Gertrude with a questioning face, "Uh, not to be rude pero sino ka?"

Gertrude laughed a little bago nag lahad ng kamay kay Seb, "Soy Gertrude Klera, from the house of Mi Casa, señor," pormal na pakilala ni Gertrude sa sarili.

Sebastian smiled at her, bago tinanggap ang kamay ni Gertrude na nakalahad, "Sebastian Angelo Monteferrante."

Pumagitna ako sa dalawa, "Sama kayo, Gertrude, Carla?" Tanong ko at nilingon ang dalawa kong kaibigan.

"Of course, why not coconut," Carla answered.

The four of us ended up eating our snacks dito sa Mcdo. If you're asking why Gertrude introduced herself like that a while ago, well here's the reason why. Gertrude is a Spaniard. She grew up here in the Philippines, but from time to time bumibisita siya sa Madrid, at yung tungkol sa paraan niya sa pag papakilala ng sarili, she was trained by her parents to introduce herself in that kind of way. Nakasanayan na niya, so we didn't bother changing it. She has a half sister and we're all the same age, but they're not in good terms, well that's what she said. She's a Spanish by blood, but Filipino by heart.

"Babe, you okay?"

Nabalika ako sa realidad, whrn I heard Seb whispered on my ear. I saw how my friends fake a cough, while they're eating their snacks.

"Y-yeah? Ano meron?" I looked at Seb.

He immediately shook his head, "Mukha ka kasing nawawala eh," he suddenly gave me a teasing smile, "ganon mo ba ako kamahal, na kahit magkatabi lang tayo ay nawawala ka na sa wisyo?"

This time, my two friends nearly choked on their foods, "Love is in the air!" Carla said, at winagayway pa ang kamay niya sa ere.

"If love is in the air, bakit wala ako? Señor, dondesta?" Nakangusong tanong ni Gertrude.

I was about to say something to Gertrude, when a man stopped on our table. My gaze went up, and I saw Noah and Jayden, sipping on their drinks.

"Pre, nakalimutan mo ito," Jayden said at inbot kay Seb ang isang libro for medicine.

"Uy, hindi ko pala siya nadala. Salamat," nakangiting sabi ni Seb nang abutin niya ito kay Jayden.

I saw Noah looking at Gertrude, kaya binaling ko ang tingin ko kay Gertrude. She's looking Jayden, and from time to time she will bit her lower lip. She's looking at Jayden with hearts on her eyes.

"Buti nakita niyo ako dito," I heard Seb said to his two friends.

"Nah, we're just passing by the fastfood area, then nakita ka namin," Noah casually said.

"Hi, Soy Gertrude Klera, from the house of Mi Casa you are?" I was shock when Gertrude stood up on her chair, para mag lahad ng kamay kay Jayden. Agad akong napatinfin kay Jayden, at hindi nakatakas sa paningin ko kung paano niya tapunan ng tingin si Carla, who's just seating there, quietly

"I'm not interested," malamig na sabi ni Jayden at binaling nalang ang tingin kay Seb.

Nag angat ako ng tingin kay Carla when she suddenly stood up, "Uh, mauna na ako. Something came up eh," mabilis na sabi ni Carla bago siya nag lakad paalis.

Sinundna ko siya ng tingin, and I unconsciously looked at Jayden's reaction. He was looking at the door, where Carla went out. He's as if wants to follow Carla, but he decided to stay.

Natapos kaming kumain just right in time. Hinatid pa kami ng tatlong lalaki sa building namin. I put my shoulders around Gertrude, who was feeling down simula pa noong mapahiya siya kanina sa Mcdo.

"Cheer up, Ger!" I whispered on her ear while looking back at the three boys behind us.

Nauuna kasi kami ni Gertrude sa paglalakad, while the boys are stalking us from behind.

"Bye, thank you sa pag hatid," paalam ko sa mga lalaki when we already reached our building.

Seb walked towards me and leaned down a bit so he could kissed me on my forehead, "Galingan mo sa pag aaral, mahal."

I chuckled before giving him a salute, "Aye aye, captain!"

From the corner of my eyes, I saw Carla approaching our side, "Cars!" I even waved my hand so she could see us.

Nang makarating siya sa pwesto namin, that's the time the three of us went inside the building. Time flies like a blur, and it's already our last class. As soon as my class ended, agad kong inayos ang mga gamit ko and walked outside.

While I was walking, my phone vibrated inside my bag kaya kinuha ko iyon habang nag lalakad.

From: Sebastian

Love, intayin mo lang ako sa labas ng building mo. Something came up. Don't go anywhere, okay?

I smiled before leaning my back against the wall.

To: Sebastian

I will not go anywhere, Seb, relax. Iintayin kita

After pressing the sent button, pinasok ko na sa loob ng bag ko ang phone ko.

"Chels, hindi ka pa uuwi?" Carla asked, when she saw me leaning on the wall.

I shook my head, "Not yet. I'm just waiting for Seb."

"Ah, sige ingat ka," paalam niya before she went away.

10 minutes had passed, but there's no Sebastian who came. Medyo nilalamok na nga ako, and I was getting bored while waiting for him.

"He will not fetch you."

Irita akong napatingin kay Mason when he said those words. Who does he think he is, para mag sabi siya ng ganon?

"Really? He texted you?" I sarcastically said.

He walked towards me, "No, but I saw him with a girl from med department."

Taas noo ko siyang tinignan, "Really? How did you know? May pruweba ka? I need proofs first."

Hindi siya nag salita, but instead he showed me his phone. There I saw three pictures. Una, magkayakap yung babae at lalaki. Pangalawa, the girl was hugging the guy from the back. Pangatlo, the both of them are facing each other.

Sa nakikita ko ngayon, I felt something pinched my heart. Or should I say, someone stabbed my beart, a million times. I should not believe Mason right? Maybe, he's just doing this para mapunta ako sa kanya.

As if that will happen

"So if I were you," Mason slid his phone inside his pocket, "don't settle to a guy who's a two timer."

"Sinong two timer ang tinutukoy mo?"

Sabay kami ni Mason napalingon sa nag salita. I saw Sebastian who has a serious face while looking at Mason. Nag lakad siya patungo sa akin, and he immediately pulled me patungo sa likuran niya.

"Sino pa ba? Of course it's you," nakangising sagot ni Mason.

"Talagang nag hahanap ka ng gulo eh," Sebastian looked at the side while nodding his head slightly. He's pushing his tounge on the insides of his cheek, "then I will give it to you," akmang susuntukin niya si Mason, nang hilahin ko ang braso niya, stopping him.

"L-lets just go," nakayuko kong sabi at nag lakad palayo na.

"Chelsy, hindi ko magagawa sayo iyon," mariin na sabi ni Seb sa akin.

As soon as we reached his house, doon ako sumabog. Pinag sasasabi ko sa kanya ang lahat ng nararamadaman ko. I was hurt, mad, and insecure at myself!

"You lier! You cheater!" Dinuro ko siya.

He walked towards me and tried to hold my hand, pero inilayo ko iyon sa kanya. I saw the pain on his eyes, but no, I will not give in so easily.

"Baby, pleade, listen to my explanation first," makaawa niya but I just shook ny head.

"Explanation? Baka mamaya, puro kasinungalingan na namna iyang sasabihin mo," mapait kong sabi at napayuko nalang siya.

"Yung babaeng kasama ko, she's nithing compared to you. She confessed her feelings to me a while ago and I dumped her because I love you and I'm loyal and faithful to you. I told her I have a girlfriend kaya huwag siyang magkakamaling lapitan ako, pero she didn't listen to me," nag angat siya ng tingin sa akin and all I can see is pain, "I'm sorry, love. Pero pinapangako ko sayo that I didn't lie and didn't cheat on you. Tell me, how could I lie or cheat to the person I cherish the most? To the person I love the most?"

My walls are slowly breaking down, kaya tumalikod ako at pumasok sa kwarto ko. I sat down on my bed, while my head is resting on my knees. I was quite and looking on the wall, when I heard a strum of guitar outdie my room.

"Lyric, I know gising ka pa. I know you're still mad at me and you don't want to face me right now, so I'm doing this. I hope hindi mo ako iwan dahil lang sa ganitong misunderstanding," I heard Seb said outside the door.

Bakit pa ba nagawa,

Nasaktan ko ang isang tulad mo na labis na

nagma-mahal.

Di napansin na wala,

Katulad ang alay ng pag-ibig mo, sa akin

Ako sana muli ay patawarin.

"Mahal, buksan mo itong pintuan mo kung kaya mo na akong harapin. Mag iintay ako sa pag bubukas mo ng pintuan mo."
