Chapter 17 - Athena

I rolled my eyes at his rather bold statement. It was ridiculous that he thought he could just watlz into my life, acting like he's been a saint all his life when he tormented me for years with no mercy or regret.

The only reason he even was here was because I was his mate. If I wasn't, he would've never been here.

"That's rich coming from you" I stated, helping Ethan on one of the benches.

He sighed. "Can we talk? Please?" he pleaded.

I looked at him shocked because according to all of the rumors in the pack when I was still here, he never said the word 'please'.

I shook my head, no matter how much I wanted to say yes. "No."

"I... I want to make things right between us. I know you won't forgive me easily but I'm willing to work for your forgiveness. Please, just 5 minutes, that's all I ask for."

"No, I need to get back to work" I said.

Ethan stood up and walked out of the room, making sure I was following him.

I looked at Nicholas one last time before following Ethan out of the room
