Athena's father was one of the most trusted warriors when he was still alive which was one of the only reasons she got to stay in the Silver Blood Pack.

The pack has decided for her future with the pack for her. She will be banished when she turns 16. The pack honored their loyal warrior but having a human in their pack was not a good image to the outside.

Nicholas watched as Athena disappeared into the bathroom. He, Colton (the future beta) and Joseph (The future gamma) followed Nicholas into the bathroom.

When they got inside the bathroom, Athena was standing agaisnt the sink. Her clothes were soaked from the rain outside since she didn't have an umbrella.

Nicholas didn't feel bad for her, not one bit. He hoped Athena would suffer even more and end her life when the suffering got to her.

"Look at what we've got here" Colton said, walking over to her. Athena stayed quiet, not daring to mutter a word. 'She was in fear. Good.' Nicholas loved seeing her in pain or fear.

Colton grabbed her face, forcing her to look at Nicholas. "What are we going to do, Alpha?" Colton, himself had ideas on what to do but he knew better- he knew how much his Alpha would enjoy hurting the little human.

"What do you think we should do, mutt?" Nicholas asked sarcastically, walking over to Athena§. He slapped her hard, leaving a red print of his hand on her cheek.

"P-Please" Athena begged. She hadn't had enough time to recover from her last beating. She was already used to this but usually they would wait a little longer so her wounds would  have enough time to heal.

"Pathetic. You should feel lucky you're even getting to stay here. Taking a few beatings is the price you have to pay" Nicholas said, punching her stomach.

Athena stayed quiet again, knowing nothing she says will be listened to. She had been suffering in silence for a very long time, alone. She didn't have anyone anymore, family, friends, no one.

She had been planning her escape for some time now. She wanted to wait until she was banished, at the age of 16 and then she would go far away from here.

She had a few locations in mind, such as France, United Kingdom or Sweden. Those were her top 3.

Nicholas spit on Athena, seeing the state she was in. She was on the floor, clutching her stomach in pain. She was on the verge of passing out, but Colton had other plans for her. He poured ice cold water on Athena, making her eyes jerk open due to the coldness.

Her clothes barely kept her warm. They were already wet from the pouring rain outside that she was in a few minutes ago,

"Passing out is the easy way, remember? You don't get that" Nicholas said in disgust.

"Fucking die" he said again and poured another bucket of ice cold water on her.

Nicholas was about to deliver another kick when the ball rang, saving Athena from the continuous abuse. It wasn't bullying anymore, at this point it was abuse, pure abuse.

"You got lucky this time, bitch. Next time you won't be as lucky" he said before steppping out of the bathroom, going to his class.

Athena was trying to get up, but her shaking legs and the pain all over her body was making it hard for her to do so.

After a few mintes of calming and balancing herself, she was able to stand properly.

She quickly changed into the clothes she had brought with her becasue she knew it'd be raining and she didn't have an umbrella.

She put the wet clothes in a plastic bag and went to her locker to put the bag inside.

Listening to the teacher talk with a killer headache was hard, impossible even. It was like wanting to rest but there's an annoying voice that stops you from doing so.

Plus the cold water had done its job of making her cold. The clothes she was wearing was nowhere near good enough but it was what she had.

After Nicholas's and Colton's dinner was over, they left. Our shifts ended early today thanks to them since we didn't open the restaurant for the public again after they left.Luckily Nicholas didn't try talking to me unless it was about the food or ordering something."You'll be alright?" Ethan asked. He needed to get home urgently but didn't want to leave me, knowing my 'mate' was so near, so able to get to me."Yeah, I'll be alright" I assured him. He had become the elder brother I never had. "I hate to leave you but I'll call you one everything is alright at home" he said.I nodded, understanding."Alright, bye" he said before almost running to his car. The only reason he was using his car instead of running home directly was because no one could see him.I was lying on my couch when suddenly there was a knock on my door.I looked through the peephole to see who it was. Surprise, surprise: it was my my one and only mate.I sighed but opened the door regardless. I wasn't a heartle

I rolled my eyes at his rather bold statement. It was ridiculous that he thought he could just watlz into my life, acting like he's been a saint all his life when he tormented me for years with no mercy or regret. The only reason he even was here was because I was his mate. If I wasn't, he would've never been here."That's rich coming from you" I stated, helping Ethan on one of the benches. He sighed. "Can we talk? Please?" he pleaded.I looked at him shocked because according to all of the rumors in the pack when I was still here, he never said the word 'please'.I shook my head, no matter how much I wanted to say yes. "No.""I... I want to make things right between us. I know you won't forgive me easily but I'm willing to work for your forgiveness. Please, just 5 minutes, that's all I ask for.""No, I need to get back to work" I said. Ethan stood up and walked out of the room, making sure I was following him.I looked at Nicholas one last time before following Ethan out of the room

Soon he left to get our drinks."Colton, say something about me going to the bathroom or something. I need to go see her" me nor my wolf could resist the urge. I just had to see her.He nodded. "Of course, go" he said.I nodded, getting up. I followed her scent but also the place she went earlier. The scent was getting stronger as I kept walking. I took a deep breath before opening the door, seeing the mutt hugging my mate. All I wanted to do was rip his head off and feed it to the rogues. She looked up at me through her tear-stained eyes."Oh darling" I whispered as I went closer. She stood up and took a step back in fear.I felt hurt. My own mate was afraid of me but I also understood why."Athena" I tried again, her name rolling off my tongue so satisfifactorily. I loved her name, I loved her."D- Don't come closer" she stuttered, hiding behind the guy.I growled at him. "Get the fuck out of my way" I said, giving him the time to move."No. I know who you are to her. She's told me

"Why are you taking so fucking long?" I asked Colton. He had been in the bathroom for quite some time and it was getting on my nerves."Chill out, Nick. I want to look good when meeting our Luna for the first time in a while," he said, making me growl at him."Get the fuck out here, Colton" I said, getting more annoyed by the passing seconds."A man's gotta look good and looking good takes time" he continued."That's fucking it. I'm leaving" I said, loud enough for him to hear. I stood up from the bed and walked towards the door.As I was opening the door, the bathroom door was finally opened. I continued walking, not stopping even when I heard Colton's whining.I got to the car, getting in the backseat. Now that Samuel was here with us, he'd be driving."Alpha Nicholas" he greeted.I nodded. "Wait a second, Colton's supposed to be here in a bit" I wasn't actually going to leave Colton. I don't know if bringing him is a good idea but I don't think I can go meet her alone.Either I'd be

  • His Greatest Regret   Chapter 14 - Athena

I got to the restaurant about fifteen minutes earlier than usually. I finally got an interview to a better job. It had been months since I started looking but I only landed one today. The interview was in a week. When I was done changing my clothes, I went out to the restaurant. It was a Saturday which means we were going to be extra busy today. It was also going to be a long day for me because I had offered to cover for a co-worker's shift so I was staying lated today. She said her mom was sick or something and I needed any extra money I could get so it didn't take a lot of convincing for me to take the shift."What's happening?" I whispered to Ethan, seeing that the restaurant was empty and we were all standing in a line."You didn't check your email? We have a VVIP coming today so the restaurant is closed to the public. Boss didn't mention who it was but apparently he is a very respected business man, and an alpha" he lowered his voice on the last part.I nodded. "Do you know wher

  • His Greatest Regret   Chapter 13 - Nicholas

It had been two days and 56 minutes since we found her. In exactly 18 minutes, we were leaving for the airport. I hadn't packed much, but enough for about a week. If I had to stay longer than that, I'd just buy new stuff or have someone do the laundry for me.I probably could do it by myself but I never learned how to and we always had someone do them for us so I never had to worry about itI don't know if Colton can do them either but I believe Joseph can. Who knows.I walked towards the front door, seeing my mother standing there with a smile."Hey, love." "Hi, mom. What are you doing here?" I asked her. "I'm just here to say goodbye and good luck" she said, still smiling."And to apologise about Brittney. I should have never dona what I did. I should've believed in your ability to find your mate" she said, the smile dropping."It's okay, mom. I understand. I didnät really belive I'd find her either but thank god, we did" I said with a smile, remembering how she looked like."I'm
