Chapter 5 - Athena

After hours of traveling, I finally arrived to Glantonbury. It looked a lot more beautiful than in the pictures that I saw. 

Even though my cousins lived here, I had never visited this place before. 

"Eleanor! Duncan! It's good to see you two, it's been so long" I said, hugging them both. The last time we saw each other was a few years ago on Christmas. 

I had managed to escape the torture but was found very quickly after Christmas. That one night changed a lot. Although it was worth it. I got to spend the Christmas with the people that cared about me.

"I missed you" Eleanor says as she pulls away.

"I missed you too and now you're stuck with me for a little while!" I exclaimed. We had been pretty close for as long as I could remember, Especially when my dad was still alive. We met up every now and then, plus all the family holidays. After dad died. I had no way of contacting them.

"I know! It'll be great. I already have a lot of things we can do. Some of them include Duncan but most of them are just the two of us" she said in excitement.

"That's great but I do think we should start with something that include Duncan first. I need to spend time with the both of you" I said, linking my arms in theirs as we started walking.

"Thank you" Duncan said, eyeing Eleanor with a weird look. "But today won't work. I know I promised to take today off but boss said something about having to work harder and didn't let me take the day off so you can do something today. Tomorrow we'll have the whole day" he said.

"Oh, I thought we'd spend the day together today but I guess tomorrow's fine too" I said in disappointment as I shook my head, indicating that I was just kidding and understood why he couldn't spend the day with us.

"So since your stuff is getting here tomorrow, I was thinking today we'll do something together and then we'll go back to our home. And tomorrow when Dunc is also with us, we'll visit your apartment and decorate and unpack stuff. How does that sound?" Eleanor asked.

"That sounds great. We'll get the first look together" I said.

"Yeah, I like the sound of that" Dunc said. "Anyway I'm gonna drive you two to the house and then I'm going to have to get to work."

"Alright, let's get going then" I said.

"I call shotgun!" I said as soon as the  car was in our view.

"That's not fair, we don't do that here" Ellie complained.

I chuckled "That's too bad" I said in a joking manner. She huffed and sat in the back.

I put my stuff into the trunk and got in. "I forgot to ask, how is aunt Aria and uncle Finn?" Aunt Aria and uncle Finn are their parents that loved me like their own when most of the family hated me for what my mom did.

"Mom and Dad are good. They asked about you the other day and were really happy to hear that you'd be coming to live here for a while. They also missed you a lot, you know" Dunc said and started the car.

"I can't wait. I've also missed them so much. It's been even longer since i've seen them than you two" I said.

"Yeah, back then they used to ask about you often since we were mostly in contact with you." Ellie said.

"Mhm. How'd they react when I suddenly cut contact with you?" When the pack found out I was still keeping contact with Dad's family, they took everything from me, everything that I could contact them with. I also couldn't just get new stuff since I was broke and didn't have a job yet.

"They were devastated, worried. They tried so hard to find you and what happened to you but they weren't succesful. Plus They hid you pretty well." 

"Oh, I feel so bad they were worried about me. I'm so ready to meet them. Do they know when I'm coming?" I asked. I wanted to surprise them.

"No, not yet. We wanted to surprise them since they really are looking forward to seeing you" she said. 

"That's good. I was thinkig of the exactly same thing" I said, smiling. I was finally going to meet the family I haven't seen in a long time.
