Chapter One Hundred and Twenty-Six

Emma’s POV

“Hey,” Liam called out to me softly.

“What?” I asked, rubbing my eyes in an attempt to adjust them to the brightness of the sun that was beaming into the car through the windows.

I didn’t even realize I had slept off.

“We’re here,” he smiled, turning his head the other way to look at the cabin in front of us.

“Oh my God,” I gasped. “This place is beautiful, Liam”.

“You think so?” he looked back at me with the smile still on his face.

“Absolutely. Wow,” I breathed out. “Is this yours?” I asked as I unbuckled my belt.

“Something like that,” he answered, stepping out of the car.

I stepped out too and we converged in front of the building. It was small but big at the same time. I’m not sure what wood was used in building it, but it was beautiful.

“What do you mean by that?”

“It’s my grandfather’s place,” he sighed.

“Oh,” I was stunned.

I didn’t know how to react to that because I was most definitely not prepared for it.
