Liam’s POV

“Dad,” I replied with a locked jaw. “I did not come over here to discuss the minutes of the board meeting with you.

You could always get your secretary or your personal assistant to get that across to you. Not me. Why? Because I hold neither of those positions”.

“No need to be disrespectful with your responses, Liam,” he said, sternly. “I say this way too often now, but I will continue saying it until you get it through that thick skull of yours. Liam, I am your father, and you will accord me with the appropriate respect as long as you’re under my roof and as long as you are my son. Is that understood?” he asked, looking at me in demand for a response.

“Yes sir,” I answered reluctantly through a tightened jaw before relaxing my face again and speaking up. “Listen, dad. The only reason I’m here is because of Emma. She asked me to come see you, and so I have”.
