Chapter One Hundred and Thirty-Eight

Emma's POV

“Hey,” I greeted Liam as I walked into the apartment.

“Oh, hey. I didn’t hear you come in,” he said, standing up from his spot on the couch, as he walked over to me.

“Yeah, I’m not surprised. The volume of the TV is quite loud,” I chuckled softly.

“Right. Sorry,” he snapped his fingers and rushed back to the living room to turn the TV off. “Alright,” he clasped his hands as he walked back over to me. “Hey,” he hugged me. “You good?” he asked as he released me from his embrace.

“Yeah,” I nodded, then sighed. “Just tired”.

“Sorry,” he said with a pitiful look on his face. “So, did you get to see what it was that caused the traffic?”

“Yeah actually. It was an accident. Nothing too serious though. I mean, I wouldn’t actually know, but from what I saw, it didn’t seem like there were any casualties or anything”.

“Okay. Well, that’s good,” he nodded.

“Mhm,” I said, making my way into the living room, as I dropped my keys on the dining table.
