Chapter One Hundred and Twenty-Nine

Emma’s POV

It was morning.

I didn’t even realize it when Liam and I slept off, but I woke up in his arms on the couch.

I needed to pee, so I gently removed his arms from around my waist and ran to the bathroom. When I was done, I decided to use the opportunity to brush my teeth as well before I came back into the living room and just sat on the rocking chair opposite the couch he was on, staring at him as I began thinking about everything that had happened yesterday.

After he gave me the shocking news about him and Anna’s breakup last night, I knew that I was truly the only one with one leg in and the other leg out at that point. So yeah, our moving forward as a couple really solely depended on me and the decision I made.

Since he told me he was actually single now, I decided to come clean and tell me exactly how I felt about him; that I loved him and have felt that way for a long time, even though a big part of me believes we won’t ever be together for real.
