Chapter 5
Theodore's POV “Why are you calling? Don't you have a wife?” Travis irritatingly said to me over the phone. I was standing on the balcony of our room but my eyes were pinned to the next room where my wife stayed the whole night. Is she awake or still sleeping? “I just got married yesterday,” I uttered and sighed. “Exactly! It should be your honeymoon with her. Why the hell are you messing with me?” Irritation cannot be hidden from his voice. “You're being obscene. I'm still older than you,” I can't believe I am using that card. It feels good though. I heard how he immediately laughed on the line as if he was gonna lose his mind. “Who cares? Seriously, what the hell is your problem, huh?” He finally asked after complaining for so long. I heaved a sigh and remained my eyes on the balcony of her room. “We fought last night,” I admitted. This is why I hate marriage. I cannot do anything to leave her because for god's sake, we're already tied to each other. “You fought? Theo, you should be making love wit—” “Oh, shut up. I just told her that I didn't want this wedding and she's acting a bit strange.” This is giving me a headache. How am I supposed to face her now? I never had any woman in my life to know how to handle this kind of situation in a relationship. Fvck arranged marriage. “What? Are you out of your mind? You told us that Bria wanted this. You said all she did was to say yes to her goddamn parents and didn't even think of herself when she married you,” Travis was totally puzzled. “Well,” I paused for a moment and bit my lower lip. “She’s really strange,” I added. “What do you mean? Is it because she looked devastated last night?” Oh, yeah, including that one. She looked like she was about to cry at the reception of our wedding. “It's not just about that. You know, I hated her huge smile that never even faded from her lips when we first met for this marriage. But right now, in our wedding, she couldn't even smile the same way she smiled before. You know what I mean? Her smiles were…sad. I feel like she's not the Bria I first met,” I explained and shut my eyes in distress. “Dude, do you expect to get to know a person in one day, huh?” He's telling me that I am unbelievable by his tone. “Never mind. I swear, something's strange. She's a benevolent type of a woman when we first met. But right now, she's so blunt and…she has a short temper.” Travis chuckled on the phone while I couldn't even smile. “You know what, just get to know her. Don't drag me to your fucking relationship, Theodore.” “Hey, wai—” I shook my head when he ended the call. Now, what? Bria’s POV “Is he not up yet?” I asked the maid in the kitchen. Yeah, I'm here in the kitchen watching them cook. I am so bored. How can't I? I'm not used to this kind of life that Bria has. At this time, I am supposed to be in my office, reading a lot of documents or maybe having a meeting. And here I am right now, watching them cook. “Not yet, Mrs. Williams.” She formally answered. Mrs. Williams. It's still a nightmare to me. I am fucking married to that jerk. How can he say bluntly that he didn't want this marriage? He just said that he doesn't like my twin at all! “Is my wife awa—” his lips were left parted after seeing me in the kitchen. I felt like he wanted to take back his words. “Why are you asking about me? You didn't want this, right?” I smiled sarcastically before I grabbed my coffee and left him with the maids. “Let's talk, Bria.” My brows raised when he now used his firm baritone voice. But I am not that fragile as he thinks so I continued walking away, pretending that I didn't hear him at all. “Bria,” he called me again. I feigned ignorance. “Bria Williams!” He exclaimed, which made my feet glued on the floor. “Did you just yell at me?” I asked with an unbelievable smirk. He took a deep breath and even put his hands on his waist. Well, I think I am successfully losing his temper. What would Bria do if she's alive and seeing this right now? They would probably get along, knowing how soft she is. “Tell me, do you even want this marriage?” That question made me lose all my words. I never even once thought that I would marry a different man aside from Sebastian. If there is a man I want to spend my life with, that would be Sebastian. Thinking of him and remembering how he begged me that day still shatters me. “Hey,” I heaved a sigh when I was being lost in my thoughts. “Did you want this marriage, Bria?” His voice softened. “No,” I admitted. “Then, why are you acting in our first meeting like you are not against this? That was the reason why I hated you. You should have said no to your parents. But you were only saying yes to them,” he chuckled. “And now, I don't even see a shadow of that freakin’ wide smile of yours…it's better though, I hated it. You were too soft.” I smirked. He just defined Bria. We're totally different and I think Theodore is confused. “Look,” I uttered, capturing back his exquisite eyes. “This is the real me,” I said. “I never wanted this—yes. But what can I do? We're living in this damn Mafia world.” If you will ask me if I still despise this world, yes, I still do. So much. “Excuse me, Mr. and Mrs. Williams, the food is ready.” The maid intervened. She left right after that. They all look like robots. “Let’s eat and go to the mall after,” my brows crossed. “Mall?” “Yeah. Or maybe you want to do our honeymoon?” “W-What?” I quickly looked away. I just felt my entire face burning. “M-Mall sounds good,” I said and quickly headed to the dining hall. As soon as we finished eating our breakfast in complete silence, we headed to the mall. Well, he was talking with somebody on the phone while we were eating. Theodore Williams is definitely a busy person. “Grab everything you want, I'll pay.” He said while my eyes were roaming around the stalls. I quickly smirked. “I can pay,” I uttered. He looked at me with those blank eyes of his. “Just allow me. I'm your husband,” he was looking at me as if I was a pain in the neck. “If you say so,” I smirked and quickly headed inside. I didn't check the prices and just grabbed everything that satisfies my eyes. “Ice cream?” My brows raised after shopping and I saw him outside, holding two ice creams in a cone. “Your mother said you love chocolate flavor when we first met,” he mentioned and showed it to me. I don't like it. I actually despise that flavor. “I hate it,” I replied and grabbed the vanilla flavor in his hand. “Really?” He titled his head, seems to be thinking. “Vanilla is my favorite,” I decided not to live like Bria. Even if I am using her name, I will live this damn Mafia world as me—as Briana. “I hate this flavor,” he said blankly, despising the chocolate flavor. I chuckled. “What can you do? I'm already eating this fl—” my jaw dropped when he tasted my ice cream. I couldn't move. It feels like I became a statue all of a sudden. My face began to burn. “Vanilla is also my favorite, you stole it.” He smirked seductively— why is he smirking seductively?! “You can just buy your own!” I exclaimed, still in awe. “We're married, Bria. Are you still n—” “Bria?” Our attention was captured when we heard that voice. Even without looking, I already know who he is. How can I forget his voice that feels like music to my ears? “S-Sebastian,” The man that I love the most is right in front of me while I am with the man that I married.PrologueThe WilliamsBriana's POV“I'm sorry, Ms. Briana! I didn't mean to forgot about it. It's just that I am really experiencing depression right now because of my break up with my boyfriend!” The woman was crying a river in front of me.My eyes were closed trying to find peace. But how can I find peace when I am hearing the same old song from this employee of mine? My ears were bleeding by hearing her reason for the third time. “Please give me another chance, Ms. Briana! I promise that I will do it immediately! This is all my fault for n—”“Of course, it's your fault.” I opened my eyes and finally laid my cold eyes at her. I saw how she froze the moment I glanced at her. She looks totally devastated right now. Her eyes were swollen—definitely because of crying to her boyfriend who kept cheating on her. What an idiot. “Who do you think fault is it? Should it be my fault that you're being irresponsible for your job?” I asked sharply. She's already on the verge of losing her job.
Chapter 1Stepping inAll of the Barbara’s men were around Bria's condo. They were all cleaning the crime that happened inside. Wiping my twin sister's blood and carrying the body of Bria out of the room. They were making sure that no one gets to know what happened yet, concealing the truth. “My goodness,” it was my mother, Britney Barbara. “Who did this to our daughter? Who?!” I heard how my father screamed in overflowing pain in his chest. I was on the floor with my knees folded. My eyes were glued to the floor where I saw my twin die. It was already immaculate as if no one died there. But then, Bria's picture lying on the floor covered with her own blood was all I could see. I was trembling and I felt how cold my entire body was. My hands were crumpled like pieces of paper. “Briana,” my mother blocked my eyesight as she knelt in front of me and cupped my face softly. I couldn't move. I couldn't process everything that happened. The tears coming out of my eyes couldn't even stop
Chapter 2 No turning backThey have this saying that when the twins are far and apart from each other, they both feel incomplete, as if half of them is missing. In my case, losing Bria means I won't be complete anymore. Would I become incomplete for the rest of my life ‘til the day I die? That saying was surreal. I never knew that it was actually true. Because right now, I feel totally incomplete. I feel like half of me has been gone ever since Bria died. “My Bria,” my Mom's voice cracked as she cried on my father's chest. All of us were crying while Bria's coffin was being buried slowly. We are all wearing black, grieving and mourning with the pain we all feel. You know what's funny? It was pouring. The sky was painted with gray, invading the entire world with its loneliness. It was so sad and lonely as if the sky was also grieving with our family. I can hear all their sobs and how they were crying aloud. Here I am, watching the men throw and cover my twin's coffin with the soil w
Chapter 3Watch me“You're the most beautiful bride that I ever saw,” the woman said. I can see how enticed she was by looking at me in the mirror. I remained staring at myself as well. It should be Bria who was supposed to be here and not me. How did all of this happen and I ended up replacing her? I was indeed gorgeous and stunning with this expensive wedding gown filled with crystals and diamonds all over it. “You can go now,” I commanded when Kirsten just went inside the room. “That's the gown Bria chose,” she uttered while staring at me. “If you will pretend to be her, you must learn how to smile a lot. You know your twin well more than anyone else.” She suggested and landed her hands on my shoulders. Kirsten never failed to amaze us with all her designs. The gown was amazing and comfortable. It was a tube gown and yet she managed to make it special.“You look gorgeous,” Freya commented as she came inside. There was Adam behind her as well, smoking when he's already wearing hi
Chapter 4Happy wedding Theodore's POV“Your wife seems to be distracted,” I looked at Travis when he suddenly brought that up. My eyes quickly shifted at Bria, the woman I just married. She was still in front, staring at the food on our table. I just left for a while to engage with the visitors because Bria is not yet greeting everybody. He heaved a sigh and continued pouring a drink in his glass. “She has been like that since earlier,” Troy commented beside Travis. “She's in pain,” all of us glanced at Tinker when she mentioned that. She was glancing at Bria in front who hadn't even touched the food. I secretly clenched my jaw. Why am I having this feeling? It's hard to see her like that. We only met once. But I will not deny how her tender smile is already glued in my mind. She might not talk, but her eyes were telling it all. “Well, why are you bothered? It's not like you married each other because you're in love. You married each other for the benefits of our clans,” Tinker
