Chapter 3
Watch me“You're the most beautiful bride that I ever saw,” the woman said. I can see how enticed she was by looking at me in the mirror. I remained staring at myself as well. It should be Bria who was supposed to be here and not me. How did all of this happen and I ended up replacing her? I was indeed gorgeous and stunning with this expensive wedding gown filled with crystals and diamonds all over it.“You can go now,” I commanded when Kirsten just went inside the room.“That's the gown Bria chose,” she uttered while staring at me. “If you will pretend to be her, you must learn how to smile a lot. You know your twin well more than anyone else.” She suggested and landed her hands on my shoulders.Kirsten never failed to amaze us with all her designs. The gown was amazing and comfortable. It was a tube gown and yet she managed to make it special.“You look gorgeous,” Freya commented as she came inside. There was Adam behind her as well, smoking when he's already wearing his wedding suit.“Here are the pictures you asked,”Adam said and put all the pictures in front of me.“That's Travis Williams, Theodore's second brother.” Freya introduced me as I was looking at his picture. He has a perfect face, looking like a model. But then, he's evil and sly smirk was a bit tempting. His haircut was too tailored, which makes me dubious about his personality.I turned to the next picture and the picture of the man with his red hair and mullet haircut greeted me. He was smoking in the picture as well.“Troy Williams, the third sibling.” Adam shortly introduced. Compared to Travis, he looks softer and more innocent than his brother. I didn't waste my time and turned to the next one. Then there was a woman with simple short hair looking so fierce in the picture.“She looks cold,” I commented.“She is. That's Tinker Williams, the only princess of the Williams.” Freya introduced with a smirk to this woman. When I turned to the next picture, I saw a freakin’ perfect man. His face was blank in the picture, wearing an expensive coat. He's the type of a man that every woman will die for. His haircut was mullet and it made him look even hotter.“That's your husband, Theodore Williams.” Adam introduced me.I don't even know what kind of man he is. I feel like I'm marrying a complete stranger.“Did Bria meet him before?” I asked.“One time. Your mother set them up on a date,” Freya replied.“You must be careful. I'm sure he will get confused if you will act differently,” Kirsten brought up. I can see how anxious she was in the mirror.“What are you still doing? The wedding must begin,” all of us looked at the door when my Mom suddenly showed up, wearing an elegant gown for my wedding.“Let's go,” Freya said to Adam and left me alone with Kirsten.“Did you break up with him?” Kirsten asked when I stood up in front of the mirror.I stopped immediately. How can I forget how he begged me? Remembering how he suffered with the pain I gave him crumpled me.“I don't want to talk about it,” I said firmly and continued walking outside.Everyone was gathered. I can see how huge each visitor was. I was crumpling my hands the whole time. I haven't even seen the man that I will marry today, not even a glance. How would I be supposed to swear in front of everyone later when it would be my first time meeting him? They all began to walk on the red carpet and I was at the end of them. I am sure that the spotlight would be given to me as I walk later. I was already holding the bouquet firmly so that I could destroy it.“Smile, Briana. Your twin often smiles,” my father whispered beside me before they all walked on the red carpet as well.I took a deep breath while I could see how many eyes would be thrown at me later.“D*mn it,” I mumbled and shut my eyes. The music turned slow, so slow that it started to sound very romantic. The door was closed for a moment as they will be giving me the spotlight that I never wanted. I watched as the two wooden doors opened and showed me up to the crowd. As I was expecting, all their eyes were locked at me. I even saw some of them begin to cry. They were all giving me those soft smiles that were creeping me out.I took my first step and began to walk slowly. Every step that I made, all I could see was Bria. I couldn't forget everything and I don't know if I will be able to. If I only knew that it would be her last visit to me, I should have told her not to leave. Maybe I was able to save her. The way I saw her crying while on the brink of death kills me relentlessly.Who would do such a thing? Why does it have to be my twin sister? My eyes stopped to the man who offered his hand at me, wearing the same blank face that I saw in the picture of him.Theodore Williams. He was handsome as hell just like how he looks in the picture. I can totally say that he never wanted this marriage as well, but here he is, not doing anything to stop this freakin' wedding.“Do you accept this woman as your wife?”Both of our eyes were locked at each other. It was the first time that I failed to read someone's thoughts through his eyes. How can he remain those cold and blank eyes?“I do,” he replied. Why do I feel like that answer was terrifying?“Do you accept this man as your husband?” The priest now asked me.I gulped while his gazes remained at me. Am I really marrying a stranger? My dream was to marry Sebastian, the man I can only see. How did I end up marrying a complete stranger?“I do,” I replied.“I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride,”It was what they were all waiting for. The most exciting part that I forgot. I just met him and yet we will be kissing each other. I gulped as my eyes went down on his lips. I have never seen such a perfect shape and color of lips as him.“What are yo—” I wasn't able to continue my words when he just pulled me on my waist, leaving no space between us. Our bodies touched and all I can feel was his d*mn bare hand wrapped around my waist. The next moment, I just felt his soft lips landing on my lips.I heard the crowd shout and started to celebrate. We both glanced at each other after the kiss we just had.“Congratulations!” They yelled and started to come near us.I faced them fiercely and remembered why I came this far.“Watch me avenge her death,” I mumbled.Chapter 4Happy wedding Theodore's POV“Your wife seems to be distracted,” I looked at Travis when he suddenly brought that up. My eyes quickly shifted at Bria, the woman I just married. She was still in front, staring at the food on our table. I just left for a while to engage with the visitors because Bria is not yet greeting everybody. He heaved a sigh and continued pouring a drink in his glass. “She has been like that since earlier,” Troy commented beside Travis. “She's in pain,” all of us glanced at Tinker when she mentioned that. She was glancing at Bria in front who hadn't even touched the food. I secretly clenched my jaw. Why am I having this feeling? It's hard to see her like that. We only met once. But I will not deny how her tender smile is already glued in my mind. She might not talk, but her eyes were telling it all. “Well, why are you bothered? It's not like you married each other because you're in love. You married each other for the benefits of our clans,” Tinker
Chapter 5Theodore's POV “Why are you calling? Don't you have a wife?” Travis irritatingly said to me over the phone. I was standing on the balcony of our room but my eyes were pinned to the next room where my wife stayed the whole night. Is she awake or still sleeping? “I just got married yesterday,” I uttered and sighed. “Exactly! It should be your honeymoon with her. Why the hell are you messing with me?” Irritation cannot be hidden from his voice. “You're being obscene. I'm still older than you,” I can't believe I am using that card. It feels good though. I heard how he immediately laughed on the line as if he was gonna lose his mind. “Who cares? Seriously, what the hell is your problem, huh?” He finally asked after complaining for so long. I heaved a sigh and remained my eyes on the balcony of her room. “We fought last night,” I admitted. This is why I hate marriage. I cannot do anything to leave her because for god's sake, we're already tied to each other. “You fought?
PrologueThe WilliamsBriana's POV“I'm sorry, Ms. Briana! I didn't mean to forgot about it. It's just that I am really experiencing depression right now because of my break up with my boyfriend!” The woman was crying a river in front of me.My eyes were closed trying to find peace. But how can I find peace when I am hearing the same old song from this employee of mine? My ears were bleeding by hearing her reason for the third time. “Please give me another chance, Ms. Briana! I promise that I will do it immediately! This is all my fault for n—”“Of course, it's your fault.” I opened my eyes and finally laid my cold eyes at her. I saw how she froze the moment I glanced at her. She looks totally devastated right now. Her eyes were swollen—definitely because of crying to her boyfriend who kept cheating on her. What an idiot. “Who do you think fault is it? Should it be my fault that you're being irresponsible for your job?” I asked sharply. She's already on the verge of losing her job.
Chapter 1Stepping inAll of the Barbara’s men were around Bria's condo. They were all cleaning the crime that happened inside. Wiping my twin sister's blood and carrying the body of Bria out of the room. They were making sure that no one gets to know what happened yet, concealing the truth. “My goodness,” it was my mother, Britney Barbara. “Who did this to our daughter? Who?!” I heard how my father screamed in overflowing pain in his chest. I was on the floor with my knees folded. My eyes were glued to the floor where I saw my twin die. It was already immaculate as if no one died there. But then, Bria's picture lying on the floor covered with her own blood was all I could see. I was trembling and I felt how cold my entire body was. My hands were crumpled like pieces of paper. “Briana,” my mother blocked my eyesight as she knelt in front of me and cupped my face softly. I couldn't move. I couldn't process everything that happened. The tears coming out of my eyes couldn't even stop
Chapter 2 No turning backThey have this saying that when the twins are far and apart from each other, they both feel incomplete, as if half of them is missing. In my case, losing Bria means I won't be complete anymore. Would I become incomplete for the rest of my life ‘til the day I die? That saying was surreal. I never knew that it was actually true. Because right now, I feel totally incomplete. I feel like half of me has been gone ever since Bria died. “My Bria,” my Mom's voice cracked as she cried on my father's chest. All of us were crying while Bria's coffin was being buried slowly. We are all wearing black, grieving and mourning with the pain we all feel. You know what's funny? It was pouring. The sky was painted with gray, invading the entire world with its loneliness. It was so sad and lonely as if the sky was also grieving with our family. I can hear all their sobs and how they were crying aloud. Here I am, watching the men throw and cover my twin's coffin with the soil w
