“Amy,” I heard her voice. 

I was looking at the window, not giving a glance at the back to see her. I am so pissed off right now and I can’t just digest the fact that Mateo was with her. 

Not just that but it is not safe for her to be alone without anyone’s knowledge. She should have said it to me before she left. But she didn’t. 

“I am so, so sorry. I should’ve informed you but they caught me up —” 

“Stop it already. Is this even a situation to apologize? Do you know how worried I was when that bastard called me and told me about you?” I walked to her and gazed at her face intensely, “He knows our every move. We must be aware of it. And you —it was so immature of you, Evelyn.”

I don’t often call her with her full name. But today, I was completely exasperated for what she did. 

“Amy, please accept my apology for this one last time.” She pleaded. “I’ll make sure that this doesn’t happen again. Ever.” Her voice filled with assurance and plea.

My hands rested on her shoulders. I pursed my lips and studied her face for a while. 

“Evelyn, okay. Fine. I accept your apology. But be aware of the danger waiting for you outside.” I said, looking into her eyes if she takes it into her mind. 

Her eyes crinkled at the corners. She placed her hands on my shoulders with a bright smile. 

“That's my sister! So, how about I treat you to dinner tonight?” She asked me. Excitement and curiosity filled her voice. 

I looked down and smiled. I looked up and gave an assuring nod. 

“I'll drive you there so just be ready by 8pm.” She stepped back and left with a disarming smile.

That smile. I love seeing her like this. I haven't seen her being so happy about something for almost years. I'll make sure that she is happy now that she's with me now. I'll protect her no matter what happens. That Noah fucking Moore can never touch her. 

“Woah, you're punctual. Like always.” She said, when I opened the car door and was about to get in. 

Then she looked at me from bottom to top. I wore a maroon dress that exposed some of my legs above my knees, as well as a sleeveless top that exposed my upper torso. To complete the appearance, I added delicate gold jewelry around my neck and on my ears. I didn't want my hands to look empty, so I wore my favorite Cartier watch and a rose-gold bracelet. I let my hair fall down my shoulders after curling them at their ends. 

“You look so young, sis!” She said, her eyes widening. 

“I'm still young, honey.” I frowned. 

“You're thirty.”

"I'm twenty-seven!”

“Just three more years and that's not too far.” She smirked. 

“What about you?”

“I'm in the beginning of my twenties, dude.”

I ignored her words and got into the car. 

“Shut up and start the car, idiot.” I rolled my eyes. 

“Reality sucks, right?”

I hit her head and avoided her playful gaze. I looked at the window rather than seeing her stupid face. Sometimes she gets on my nerves but it feels good too. I have low pressure which increases and balances it. 

“Your seat is here, Miss.” The butler showed us our reserved seats. 

“Thanks.” I muttered while taking the seat opposite to Evelyn. 

“What do you want to order? Heavy or light?” Evelyn asked, glancing at the menu card. 

“Creamy macaroni with more cheese, please. I'll have the desert ordered later.” I said, still glimpsing at the menu. 

“I'll have the same. I would like rosé wine. What about you, Amy?” She looked at me. 

“Red.” 

The butler nodded and went to prepare for the order. After some time, another man brought the glasses full of wine to us. To my bad luck, after placing the wine for Evelyn –he spilled over the wine on my dress. 

“Hey, don't you have sense? Do you want to lose your job?” Evelyn started bickering with him. 

He looked at me with some hope that I would do something. 

“Evelyn, stop it. There's no point in it. Hey, you. Get away from here before I change my mind.” I said, looking at my dress getting ruined. 

It was brand new though. 

“But–” I cut her off. 

“It's fine, Evy. I'll wash it off. Wait–” I stood up. “I'll be back.”

I went into the restroom and splashed some water on my dress. I tried washing off the stain but it took a very long time. I was so busy that I didn't notice that someone was standing just behind me, giving an intense gaze. 

I didn't turn back, but I looked at who it was through the glass mirror in front of me. 

Noah. 

When our eyes connected, he crushed his body against mine from behind. His hand grasped both of my hands on the countertop. He nuzzled my neck and stared at me in the mirror.

“What are you doing here?” I asked. 

“I always miss you, babe.”

“Fuck you.”

“Then do it, little one.” He turned me over to see him, making me sit on the counter. “This is a perfect place, dear."

Uh! His nicknames sucks forever. 

“Hey, how do you know that we're here?” I asked him, confusion filling my voice. 

“I have my ways. Didn't you read the letter?”

“So, it was you –the stupid, huh?” I asked him, a smug tugging around my lips. 

He gripped on my neck, almost choking me. 

His eyes darkened, “You really want to die, huh?” he leaned closer to my face. 

His hot breath striking my face and neck, came in contact with my cold skin. 

“Yes, but not in your hands.” I daringly stared into his eyes. 

He wore a black suit and had his hair done, which made him appear more attractive. His first two buttons were opened, revealing a portion of his chest.

“Like what you see?” He smirked. 

He pulled a few strands of my hair behind my ears. He stared at me aggressively, as if he were about to consume me.  

“What about you?” I responded the same sneer.  

He moved closer. Only a few inches remain to reach my lips. I'm not sure why, but I let him touch me. I never let anyone do it. I dared him to touch me.

He bit his lips and dashed out of the place, leaving me alone. 

“What was that for?” I muttered under my breath. I ran my fingers through my hair in frustration. 

“Are you alright?” Evelyn asked me, her eyes searched me. 

“Yes,” I took the seat before taking a look around to see if he's around us. “I guess.”

“You seem off after the wine spilled on your dress. Are you really all right?” She looked at me and continued focusing on the steering wheel. 

“I am.”

“Worried about your dress? I would've punched him in the face if you say so.” She said, gripping the steering tightly. 

“Why would I? I have thousands of them like this.” I sighed. 

“Fine,” She said, “Whatever you say.” 

He always acts like a stalker, constantly stalking me. He knows where I'm headed even before I do. Every time he does it, he leaves me alone with my own ideas after acting differently.  

When I seek for his trace, he is not there; but, when I wish to live a calm life, he arrives to irritate me.
