     “I got it, madam.” I was about to leave.

     “I didn’t tell you to go.” Amelia stopped me. “The discussion is not over yet.” She came near me.

       I was sitting on the couch and she came to stand behind me, caressing my hair. I am totally confused. What is she even doing now?

       “What is that you wanted to tell, Ms. Garcia?” I asked her.

       “Keep checking on him for safety. Okay?” Her hands went down to my chest. I flinched. I am feeling butterflies all over my body now.

        “Yes ma’am” I said.

        “Mateo, can I call you Mateo from now on?” She asked me.

       “Sure, ma’am.” I agreed with her.

       What exactly happened to her? Is she okay?

        “I’m okay, Mateo.” She stressed my name. “You don’t have to worry about me.

        I suddenly pulled her from behind and made her fall on me, she sat on my lap facing me.

        “What was that for?” She asked, a sudden gun shot.

        We laid down on the floor so that the gun shot didn’t affect us.

         I kept my forefinger on her lips, “Stay right here. Don’t move until I’m back.” I stood up slowly with my gun in my hand, positioned earlier.

        I went near the door, immediately opened to see nobody was there. I came outside to see if anyone was hiding but that person ran off from here.

        “We’re safe…” She ran to me and hugged me tightly. I didn’t hug her yet but I didn’t stop her from hugging me.

        Her soft and warm body hugging me made me feel warm too. Again, the same feeling which I feel only when she’s around me.

        “Thanks again, Mateo.” Her grip tightened. She then pulled away holding my neck.

        “You don’t have to thank me. It’s my job anyway.” I said.

        “How did you know that someone would shoot?” She challenged me to a question.

        “I don’t really have any answer for this. I felt like someone was watching us. I felt something bad was going to happen.” I tried explaining whatever I felt at that time.

        She listened to me carefully.

        “It’s okay. We’re safe now.” She said.

        “Not really.” I showed her a letter which I found at the entrance of the door. “I found this lying out.”

        “So, that person’s intention was not to kill me?”

        “Absolutely.”

        “He gave us a message?”

        “Yes. Read this out.” I gave it to her hand.

        She opened the letter and started to read it, “Dear Amy, this is not just a letter but an information. Do you have any idea about what this letter was sent for? For you to be aware that my eyes will always be on you so better be careful and don’t try to hide.” She paused.

         “If you try to escape from me, I will come and take away your life no matter what. Bye, for now little one.” She completed it. “It must be him.”

“Who?” I asked.

“That brat Noah.” She said in a sarcastic tone.

“What should we do now? What’s on your mind?” I asked her.

“Firstly, don’t tell this to anyone. It’s a secret only between us. Okay?” she wanted me to make sure.

I gave a nod. “I will not say.”

“You can leave now.” She said.

I bowed and came out of the room. What was that for? What does he want to do with this letter? Anyways I got to know all about that letter. This is not something I shouldn’t leave casually.

“Hey!” I would’ve bumped into her again. Her again.

“Good morning, madam.” I greeted.

“Good morning. Did my sister call you?” she asks.

“Yes, I just left.”

“Ah, I see. And I just came here.”

“She is a bit angry, please handle her properly.” I suggested her.

“I know it before. I came here to convince her. Don’t worry much.” She smiled.

I returned the smile and came to my cabin.
