“Yes?” I asked what Ms. Jones wanted to convey. It must be about Amelia.

She is so intelligent that she always wants to know everything with more detailed explanations.

“Ms. Garcia wants to talk to you. She wants you to be at her cabin, right now.” She said and left.

Amelia never saw me except yesterday. We never met anywhere at any time. I’ve seen her interviews and even when she goes to her car after work. Her confidence always impressed me.

Her bluish big almond eyes, black silky hair, button-like nose, pink full lips when I saw her up-close that time made me blush for the first time.

I rushed inside her cabin and I saw her seeing something through the glass window wall having a cup of coffee. As she heard my footsteps, she turned gently as her free hair turned around with her effortlessly.

“Oh, you came in without my permission.” She reminded me.

I’m so stupid that I lost my manners and came inside without her knowledge. I stepped back apologising “Sorry.”

And she raised her right hand stopping me. “Hey, stop. You came in already.” She pointed to the couch, “Take a seat, please.”

I went to the couch and sat in the very corner. She smiled at me innocently and took a seat on the single couch which was on the side of the couch I was sitting on.

“Do you know why I asked you to meet me?” She asked.

I had no idea about it but I guessed “About what happened yesterday?”

She tilted her head cutely “Well, isn’t it obvious?” She chuckled softly with her angelic voice.

I adored her voice equally to her appearance. It’s not deep but not soft.

“Yes, you’re right. I wanted to thank you sincerely for yesterday.”

I smiled nervously as she bent slightly showing her gratefulness towards me.

“You don’t have to do that, madam. It was my job to keep you safe.”

She pouted which added more cuteness to her face “But still, if you weren’t there, I would’ve been stuck with that bastard for so long. My sister just came here and she would have been scared.” She explained her point.

“I don’t think so.” I thought for a second and said, she was not scared of getting locked up in a dark room where she was the only one who stayed there. Her face seemed confused.

“She winked at me when I was releasing her hands from the ropes which were tied.” I said looking down as I was more embarrassed to even tell it to her sister.

She chuckled at me being uncomfortable about the topic I started and said briefly “She does that to every handsome man.” I was relieved. “Am I handsome?” I asked and then kept both hands on my mouth and that’s when she started to laugh.

"Yes,” She leaned in forward, closer to me, “you really are … .handsome.” Her voice sounded seductive.

I’ve never seen or heard this side of her. It was new and strange.

“I was just kidding..” She chuckled nervously after getting her thoughts back.

I laughed with her in a kind of awkward situation. She stood up and went to her table to take something and come back here. She handed me a bag, I glanced inside to see some boxes of chocolates and cakes.

“I’d like to treat you with these first, and maybe if you wish we can have a meal together someday.”

“Thanks, but I just did my job.” I reminded her. She gave a bright smile

“For you it was just a job, but for me it was a great help. You almost saved us. I must be grateful to you.”

I continued smiling along with her. “Okay, then. I will get going. If anything happens, don’t feel bad to call me.” I handed her a card which had my phone number.

I went to the door and looked back but she was still looking at me so I gave a smile one last time and opened the door. When I was opening the door, someone almost fell on me because she was resting on the door to open it at the same time. She held my shoulders and rested her face on my chest. I quickly pushed her and looked at her.

“I’m sorry, if I was mistaken.” I apologised to her.

She didn’t seem to be in trouble but she actually enjoyed the moment.

“My bad. Sorry, Mr. Williams.” She tried to admit that it was her mistake when it was no one’s.

She smiled at me and went inside and I came outside as if nothing happened. Fortunately, Amelia didn’t see it.

I felt a vibration in my pockets, I realised it was my phone and took it out. It was someone I knew already.

“Hello?” I heard a voice on the other side.

“Did you meet her?” He asked.

I nodded but then I concluded that I was on a phone call and answered “Yes. She seemed to be in a good mood.”

“Really?”

“Yes.”

"What did she call you for?”

“For thanking me about yesterday.”

“Great.”

"She gave me a bag full of chocolates and cakes as a compliment.”

“Is she that kind and sweet? I’ve only seen her with her bitchy attitude.”

 “I thought the same but she was extremely kind to me.”

 “Maybe because you helped without her expectation.”

 “Maybe. Might be her real nature.”

 “Do you think so?”

 “Yes, it was natural and not made.”

“It was my thoughts and now you have a different thought about her.”

“I think so.”

“Keep it up, then. I will call you soon.”

“Yes, sir. I will hang up.”

I hung up the call and continued walking towards my car. Amelia was really kind and sweet as I said in the call. I don’t know why he had that kind of perspective about her. She even made me blush effortlessly. A girl never did that. This was my first time melting for a girl. She made me feel goose bumps all over my body.

Today was an unforgettable day.
