Nicklaus’ POV:
I pulled away and walked outside the front porch. Elena stood by the doorway, and I could feel her eyes on me as I walked. I'm sure I left her feeling confused.
I smirked and bit my lower lips as I stood by the car when my phone started buzzing continuously in my pocket. I picked it up immediately since it was business.
I discussed urgent matters that needed my attention and arranged everything before leaving for my trip. I made sure that all the work was done so that I wouldn't be caught up with a lot of work when I was back from the trip.
I stepped inside the car. Elena entered the car from the other side, and the driver started driving.
I turned to Elena, but she turned her face to the window, avoiding eye contact with me. I could tell I had made her uncomfortable with what I had done earlier.
I smirked a little and looked through my window. I knew the game that I had just played with her, and I knew it wouldn't be easy for her to resist my charms.
I could still remember how beautiful and flawless she looked in her wedding dress. Who would have thought I would be a married man already? Just two days ago, I was out there partying with my friends as a single man, and now I am off the market.
I could perceive the faint smell of her soft perfume when I adjusted my sitting position and sat close to her. Her green eyes sparkled, and she caught me off guard, but I managed to control myself.
I cannot remember the last time I couldn't get my eyes off of a woman. I don't even think it has ever happened to me. I had always been a playboy and had some flings with so many models and expensive ladies, but none of them caught my attention the way Elena is doing right now, and I can't help but wonder why.
I turned my head to her and looked at her again. I realised that she was so beautiful and innocent. My eyes fell on her lips, which made me bite my lips without realising it. They looked so soft and inviting.
My eyes also fell on her tits, and I quickly looked in the opposite direction and watched the moving vehicles in the window. I managed to fill my head with work stuff to distract myself.
For the rest of the drive, I decided to avoid eye contact with her so that there wouldn't be any awkward situation between us.
I reached for my phone and decided to check my emails to keep myself from staring at her. After a few minutes, I finished responding to my emails and then turned to my new wife, but I was shocked to see her slowly drifting to sleep.
She was sleeping so soundly, and she looked peaceful. How could she fall asleep so easily? I wondered. Didn't she get enough sleep last night? For God's sake, it's still morning. I don't like it when I see people taking a nap in the morning. Mornings are for work, not for rest.
I usually get angry at any slight inconvenience, especially when I am with my employees. I always turn into a beast when I see any of them falling asleep or resting, but I can't even get mad at my wife.
The driver took a sharp turn, Elene lost her balance and fell on my chest. I stretched my hands in time to catch her and gently placed her head on my chest so that she wouldn't wake up.
“Drive carefully,” I ordered the driver, and he nodded his head and reduced his speed.
I looked down at her and noticed she was already fast asleep. A little smile tugged at the corner of my lips. I couldn't stop staring at her. My eyes moved to her pointed nose and then her lips.
I slowly guided my hands and moved my fingers on her hair to arrange her messy edge. I laid strands of her hair on her back and adjusted her position on my chest, which made her make a soft sound. The sound made me feel warm.
Her lips looked so soft, and I had already started imagining myself kissing her. Of course, it's with her consent. She is now my wife, and we need to produce an heir immediately. That is the sole purpose of the marriage, of course.
The car came to a stop. "Sir, we are here," the driver voiced out. I shifted my gaze in his direction and looked through the wheel screen. We have arrived at the airport.
Elena’s POV:I felt a gentle hand tapping my shoulder. I stirred on the warm surface I was lying on. It felt so comfortable and warm that I didn't want to wake."Wake up, Elena." I heard a familiar voice. It was deep and firm. I stirred again.“Elena, we just arrived at the airport; wake up. We have to board the plane right now.” and that's when I quickly opened my eyes. I looked up to see that I was holding the handsome billionaire, Nicklaus, who is now my husband.I slowly pulled away, and my cheeks reddened with embarrassment. I looked away, trying to hide from the embarrassing situation. Nicklaus stepped down from the car. He extended his hands to help me out of the car. I hesitated. He gave me a questioning look, and I extended my hand and stepped out of the car. I took a step forward, and I almost lost balance. I placed my hand on the car, and Nicklaus walked to me. He placed his hands on my waist to support me. “Are you alright?” he asked.I looked up at him and tried to co
Nicklaus POV:I finished my glass of wine and decided to get some work done. I picked up my laptop and continued working on the ongoing project. I looked at Elena with my side eyes, and she avoided my gaze.I could not remember the last time I was ignored, especially by a lady. It had never happened, and I couldn't understand why Elena was avoiding me even though the flight attendant was shooting her shot with me. Who wouldn't want a wealthy and handsome billionaire like myself? I didn't even know if I should be amused by it or mad at her for ignoring me.I focused on my laptop and continued working. I heard some noise, and Elena stirred in her seat. She was acting as if she were uncomfortable, and she kept tossing around in her sleep. That's when I realised that she was truly uncomfortable and needed a proper rest. She must have been very tired and stressed.I loosened my seatbelt and walked up to her, then slowly took off her seatbelt. I gently carried her to the bedroom at the bac
Elena’s POV:I rolled out of bed and followed Nicklaus out of the plane. “Welcome to the Bahamas,” the pilot said. Nicklaus nodded his head. I turned to them and faked a smile, trying to be composed, but I wasn't satisfied with my nap. There was a questioning look on my face. I couldn't believe that we were coming to the Bahamas for our honeymoon, and I never bothered to ask where we were headed on the plane. I hurried to meet up with Nicklaus. “We are in the Bahamas?.” I asked him.He paused and turned to me. “What do you think?” He asked and walked past me. I gave him a daring look. “How rude,” I muttered silently and kissed my teeth. Some SUVs with drivers and bodyguards were already waiting for us on the runway. One of the guards greeted, "Welcome, sir, welcome, ma'am.” He greeted him with his head bowed low. The bodyguards were tall and imposing. They had serious faces and looked intimidating. If I wasn't with Nicklaus, I am sure they wouldn't have given me this much respect.
Elena’s POV:I turned on the hot water in the tub and essential oils to help me relax. Fragrant bubbles started to form. I soaked myself in the water and allowed my muscles to relax. I closed my eyes, exhaled, and let out a deep sigh. After a few minutes, I walked out of the tub and tried a fluffy white towel around my body, feeling softness on my skin. I had to be fast before Nicklaus walked in.I walked to the closet to search for my pyjamas in my box, eager to change into something cosy and go to bed. But as I turned around, I stumbled into something hard. Before I could even process what had happened, Nicklaus placed his hands on my shoulders to steady me. “Are you alright?” he asked, his voice deep.I nodded my head, “Yes, I'm fine.” I replied. He moved his hands to my waist and stared at me for a few seconds. I couldn't look up to him because I was already feeling embarrassed. His body was close to me, and I could feel the heat from his skin. I wondered in my head if he was goi
Nicklaus POV:I lay on the bed, my eyes closed, and I pretended to be asleep, but my heart was beating fast. I couldn't get over the feeling of desire that had been building inside me since I kissed her. She had become my weak point, and it was getting hard for me to control myself. I had planned to do more than that because I desired her and we needed to start our marital duty to produce an heir, but something held me back from touching her. I felt something that I had never felt before. There was a spark, and I felt the heat inside me. I burned for her deep down, and I wished I could have her to myself. The kiss felt different. It wasn't just a normal kiss, like the ones I had shared with other women. I couldn't tell if it was because I was angry that she had another man in mind or if there was a connection. I couldn't help but feel that she had another guy on her mind when I was now married to her. I tried to take the thought off my mind by thinking about something else. My har
Elena’s POV: It's a new day, and of course, it's another day as the wife of Mrs. Nicklaus Coleman.I found myself cuddled up in a soft body, and I felt the softness and warmth of the skin; it was as if I had been holding on to that body all night long. I snuggled deeper into his body without thinking. There is this feeling that I felt in me that I hadn't felt in a long time. I felt safe and protected.I slowly drifted off to sleep again, enjoying the warm body. I hadn't slept this well in a long time, and I could sleep all day.My hands were across, and I was holding him like I never wanted to let go. That's when my breath ceased, and I realised who I was holding. I quickly opened my eyes and pulled away. Nicklaus's eyes were on me the whole time, and he smiled at me. My cheeks reddened, and I was feeling embarrassed. I shifted my gaze from him and looked at the other room.Nicklaus smiled, and his eyes sparkled in the morning sun. He looked so handsome and perfect—like a model.“
Elena’s POV:My jaw dropped, and the words couldn't come out of my mouth. “What? Jealous of what?” I asked, chuckling lightly and trying to shake it off. Nicklaus smiled and bit his lower lips. “Jealous because other ladies would see your husband’s sexy body?” He asked, his voice filled with sarcasm. I scoffed, fixing my gaze back at him. “Why would I be jealous? Does it look like I am jealous?” I asked, crossing my arms on my chest.I walked to sit in the dining room. “Don't think so highly of yourself, Nicklaus,” I said, and immediately I kept mute. I couldn't believe I had just called him by his first name. My eyes fell on his arms. He was putting on a shirt, and he rolled the sleeves. They looked so good, but I managed to drift my eyes away from him to the other side of the room. “Well, other ladies stared at my broad chest from afar, and I could tell they admired me,” he said.“Good for them. You should know you are married, so stop exposing yourself to other ladies. I have a
Elena’s POV:I walked outside to the beach with the breeze caressing my skin and the hot rays from the sun resting on my skin. I could feel the soft sand under my feet as I walked along the shore. This is just what I needed. My space from this whole marriage drama.I moved out of our private spot and found a quiet and open spot that was away from the crowds. I watched the beautiful water as the waves washed over my feet. I sat there, deep in thought. I couldn't help but think about all that I had gone through in three days. My life changed in just one day, and now I have to get used to it for the rest of my life. Now I am stuck with this ruthless billionaire who thinks highly of himself for the rest of my life. I don't know how to deal with this. I have never made any decisions of mine since I was born. I wish I could make my choice before coming into the world; I wouldn't have chosen to be in my family. I have always dreamt of becoming an international chef, breaking the world reco
