Chapter 10

Elena’s POV:

I felt a gentle hand tapping my shoulder. I stirred on the warm surface I was lying on. It felt so comfortable and warm that I didn't want to wake.

"Wake up, Elena." I heard a familiar voice. It was deep and firm. I stirred again.

“Elena, we just arrived at the airport; wake up. We have to board the plane right now.” and that's when I quickly opened my eyes.

I looked up to see that I was holding the handsome billionaire, Nicklaus, who is now my husband.

I slowly pulled away, and my cheeks reddened with embarrassment. I looked away, trying to hide from the embarrassing situation.

Nicklaus stepped down from the car. He extended his hands to help me out of the car. I hesitated. He gave me a questioning look, and I extended my hand and stepped out of the car.

I took a step forward, and I almost lost balance. I placed my hand on the car, and Nicklaus walked to me. He placed his hands on my waist to support me.

“Are you alright?” he asked.

I looked up at him and tried to compose myself: “Yes, I am.” I spoke and moved away from his grip.

Nicklaus turned to me. “We have to leave now,” he said, and just as I was about to move my legs, he carried me in a bridal style without hesitating.

What is he doing? Carrying me up in a bridal style? What do I do? How do I get him to keep me down?

“I can walk. Please, put me down.” I spoke, but Nicklaus was walking to the plane.

“We don't have all day for this sluggishness,” he said.

I struggled. “I said I could walk.” I protested, trying to see if he would keep me down.

Nicklaus fixed his eyes on me, and his eyes turned dark. “If you keep struggling, I will throw you hard on the ground,” he warned.

He seemed serious, so I decided to give in. I wrapped my arms around his neck tightly in case he tried to throw me on the ground.

I'm too tired to argue this morning. The closeness between us made me feel tense, and I had no choice but to give in. His masculine scent was so soft and relaxing.

This is going to be very difficult. It would be hard to ignore the charms of this man. I had seen him and read about him multiple times in magazines and blogs. I thought the hype on him was too much, but now I realise that he looks way better in person, even though I thought he wouldn't.

He looks way more handsome than Caleb. I am having my physical experience with him, and I have to protect my heart because he is way more charming than I had expected. I can't fall in love with this man, no matter how good-looking and tempting he is.

I won't allow myself to fall for this devil, who has no heart or emotions. How would somebody decide to get married to a complete stranger just because of wealth? How evil could that be?

All the crew greeted us with a broad smile. “Welcome on board,” the crew greeted.

They all looked cute and professional. The female crew looked hot and really sexy. She looked like a model, ready for a show on the runway.

He kept me down, and I quickly found my way to take a seat. I started to observe the surroundings, and from the way the crew greeted Nicklaus.

The interior of the jet is very beautiful and full of luxury. He must be really rich to own a private jet.

One of the female attendants walked in with a smile on her face. “The plane will take off in a few minutes; please fasten your seatbelts,” she announced, her eyes fixed on Nicklaus.

She was dressed in a short black skirt, a white shirt, and a cap. Her legs were long and sexy. Her makeup was flawless, and she tied her blonde hair in a sleek bun.

Nicklaus’ eyes were on me the whole time. He didn't notice the flight attendant.

I struggled to put on my seat belt, and he quickly rushed to my chair. “Let me help you with that sleepy head,” he said, gently fixing it.

His hands were so soft, and I could feel the tension in my body. I couldn't wait for him to be done with it so I could pull myself back together.

For the rest of the flight, I avoided eye contact with him.

The female attendant called, “Mr. Nicklaus Coleman, would you like to eat something, sir?” She asked while smiling and biting her lips.

“I'm fine. Ask my wife what she would like to eat,” he said, staring at me with a smirk on his face.

The flight attendant's tone changed, and she walked up to me. I'm sure she couldn't believe that I was married to this famous and handsome billionaire. I could see how she was just walking around him, just so he could notice her earlier.

“Mrs. Coleman, what would you like to eat?” She asked, frowning at her face.

“Just get me snacks. That will do,” I said.

“With a bottle of red wine,” Nicklaus said.

In a minute, the snacks and wine arrived. The table was served in front of us.

“Enjoy,” she said, and she walked away.

I snacked on the biscuit and sipped the wine. Nicklaus also joined me in drinking wine. He was so classy, and the way he licked his lips was turning me on.

When we were done, the table was cleared, and I turned my head to the other side of the chair and stared at the clouds. I admired the beautiful view. After a few minutes, I laid my head back and dozed off to sleep.
