Chapter 41

Elena’s POV:

After a short drive, we arrived at the villa. We came out of the car and walked to the red carpet with Nicklaus’ bodyguards shielding us.

The camera clicked, and light flashed from different angles. Nicklaus placed his hands on my waist as we walked through the red carpet, making our way to the red carpet rolled on the floor.

My palms became sweaty as we approached the crows. I exhaled and tried to calm my nerves.

“I'm getting nervous,” I whispered to him.

He leaned in and kissed me on the forehead. “I know people are watching us. Just be calm and be yourself. I am right here with you,” he said, assuring me.

“Are you ready?” he asked.

Smiling nervously, I nodded in agreement. I have only seen this on TV and every social media site; never in my life did I think I would experience such.

We walked down the red carpet to the entrance. The paparazzi wouldn't stop taking pictures of our every move, and they started throwing questions at us.

Nicklaus remained calm as he placed his hand on my waist and guided me inside. I could see some of my top musicians and models. I couldn't believe that I was attending the same event with a lot of celebrities.

Nicklaus was greeted by some of them, and they exchanged pleasantries.

One of his friends walked by him; I could recognise his face from the dinner we had with his friends. “Nicklaus,” he called.

Nicklaus turned, and his face lightened up. They both shook hands. “Andre, it's so good to see you, bro,” he said.

He introduced me to a lot of people as his wife. He said it's been a while since he attended such an event, but he seemed to blend in easily and keep his charms.

As time went on, Nicklaus would plant kisses on my lips and neck as he showed me off to the whole world.

“It's so good to see you here, Mr. and Mrs. Coleman,” she said, bringing over the microphone. “How do you feel tonight?” she asked.

“Well, I feel great. I am excited for the event.” Nicklaus replied.

“Mr. Nicklaus, we heard that you are getting married and you are expecting a baby together. Is that true?” she asked.

Nicklaus looked at me and kissed me on the lips. “That's true. She is my wife,” he said, and he chuckled.

I smiled, and she asked me some questions. We discussed, and after a little while, we walked inside the building as the event began. It was all fun, and we took pictures together.

When the event came to an end, I was becoming tired and sleepy. Nicklaus held my waist, and we were about to leave the villa when a woman approached us.

She was dressed in a white short dress, which revealed her long, sexy legs, and her hair was styled perfectly. Her makeup was flawless as she swayed her hips from side to side.

Her red lipstick made her face look bold, and she walked with so much confidence, like a runway model.

All eyes were on her as she walked towards us, capturing every move, cameras flashing relentlessly.

"Hello, Nicklaus,” she greeted.

Nicklaus's facial expression hardened, and he responded, “Hi Sandra.”

She walked over to him with a smile on her face. She reached out to hug him, but he slowly backed away.

“Are you avoiding in front of your wife?” she asked.

Nicklaus's face hardened, and he turned to her. “Leave me the fuck alone, Sandra,” he warned.

“Let's get out of here,” he said, and he held my hands as we both walked away.

I stared at Nicklaus as we walked to the car. The cameras took pictures of our every move. He tried to make everything look alright, but I was suspicious.

Who was that woman, and why did Nicklaus avoid her?

We got into the car and left the villa. I kept quiet throughout the whole ride as I wondered what was going on.

Nicklaus noticed my mood. “Elena, are you okay?” he asked.

I didn't respond to him; he moved close to me. He placed his hand on my lap and looked me in the eye.

“Elena?” he called.

I turned to him and asked, “Who was that lady, and why did you get upset?” I asked.

Nicklaus smiled. “Is that the reason for the long face?” he asked.

“Yes, what else?” I spoke.

“Calm down, Elena; she was my last way before I met you,” he said.

“At least I deserve to know who she was in your life and what role she played,” I said.

Nicklaus turned to me and said, “She was one of my mistresses.".

“Mistresses? They were multiple.” I asked, narrowing my eyes and looking at him.

Nicklaus nodded his head in agreement. “It's not something I am proud of. I was once a playboy, but it was before I met you. I haven't done anything to break your trust since we got married.”

I kissed him on the lips, “I trust you.”
