Chapter 40

Nicklaus’s POV:

I stood in front of the door, my eyes fixed on the grand staircase, as I waited for Elena to come downstairs. After a few minutes, she elegantly walked down the stairs.

Her presence commanded her attention, and my gaze was on her. She looked so beautiful and attractive in that red dress. She is a real beauty, and I never regretted making her my wife.

She walked down the stairs with a broad smile on her face as our eyes met. The bright light from the chandelier made her look like the spotlight, and I became speechless.

She has always been a beautiful woman; right from the first day I set my eyes on her at the altar. I am glad she will be the mother of my kids with these beautiful genes.

Her black hair was styled perfectly, and her makeup was natural and flawless. I patiently waited for her to come downstairs when I walked up to her.

I smiled at her and said, “You are so beautiful, my wife.” I spoke, and my voice was so audible that my workers could hear me. They all stood and watched the beautiful moment between us.

“Thank you, my husband,” she said, blinking her eyes, and I chuckled lightly.

I reached for my pocket and brought out a diamond bracelet that I had bought for her. “I got this for you,” I said.

Her eyes widened. “Wow, it's so beautiful. She said. And I reached for her hand and gently fixed it.

I couldn't take my eyes off her. She looked extremely beautiful. Elena cleared her throat and brought me back to reality.

“Shall we?” I gestured for her to hold my hands. With a smile on her face, she quietly handed her hands over, and together we walked outside to the waiting Range Rover.

The guards opened the door for us, and we both settled in the car. I stole glances at her with my side eyes as we headed to the event centre.

Her skin was radiant, and her eyes sparkled. I could feel her excitement.

The stylist did a great job on my wife. We were almost at the villa. I reached for her hands when I touched them, feeling how tensed she was becoming. I gave it a gentle squeeze and tried to calm her down.

“You will be fine. Relax.” I leaned in and whispered.

She turned to face me and smiled lightly. She adjusted her sitting position and sat close to me.

“It's just like the last event we attended. Just be yourself and have fun.” I some.

I found myself attached to Elena as we spent more time together. It made me a better and more jovial person. I had never believed in life, but here I am. Elena is my life.

I am glad fate brought us together. My life was a mess before, and I was living in complete darkness. Now I know that family and finding love is everything.
