Elena’s POV:
“Zoey.” I called and wrapped my arms around her, and she hugs me tightly. “How have you been?”
I nodded my head and smiled widely. “I am doing just fine.”
Zoey turned in Sarah’s direction, who was standing on the other side of the room. “What are you doing here again? Haven't you caused enough harm already?” She asked, her voice stern.
“I know I am not proud of what I did, and that is why I came here to apologize. I did it for the company, for Caleb’s heart,” she said.
“Don't you dare mention that name again? I forbid you to mention that name where Elena is.” Zoey spoke, her voice rising.
I walked up to Zoey and held her hands. “Zoey, common. It's a thing of the past, and I have moved on with my life. The most important thing here is that she has realised what she did and has come to apologise." I spoke calmly and gently.
Zoey exhaled deeply, and she turned to me and said, “As long as you are now happy, that is what matters right now.” She spoke and reached for my hands.
Sarah walked up to me and said, “Elena, I will see you some other time. I have a meeting to attend right now. See you some other time,” she said, pecking me on the cheeks before walking out of the room.
We all walked to the lounge. Zoey didn't say a word. She walked to the window and stared at Sarah as she got into her car and left the compound, then turned to me.
“Elena, I know Sarah is your sister, and you love her, but I don't believe her. I think she is up to something again. I can feel it,” she said.
I smiled and pressed my lips into a thin line, trying to brush it off. “Zoey, stop thinking so much about it. She explained everything to me, and I understood her. The most important thing now is that I am very happy with Nicklaus.” I spoke.
Zoey sat in the lounge and looked at me. “I know, and it's a great thing you found your happiness, but I just want you to be careful with Sarah.” She spoke, her voice calm and gentle.
I nodded my head and said, “Sure. So tell me about your trip. How have you been? I have missed you so much. I can't wait to catch up with you.”
One of the maids offered us some fruit juice and some biscuits.
“I should be asking you that question. I don't even need to ask you how you are doing. You are glowing. Who would have thought that you would be finding your Mr. Perfect on your wedding day?” She spoke, and I chuckled lightly.
“It's true. It's Caleb’s loss,” she giggled. She turned to me and brushed my hair. “I like this new you, Elena,” she said.
“Please be careful with Sarah. I do not want her to ruin things for you anymore and cause you pain,” she warned and I nodded my head.
We caught up on a lot of stuff. We chatted and giggled. I had missed Zoey so much, and I was very happy that we were catching up. Since she travelled, it's been a little boring for me, but Nicklaus has kept me company.
After some time, I felt nauseous, and I quickly ran to the bathroom to throw up. Zoey ran after me as she called my name, “Elena!” She called, “Are you alright?”.
I washed my mouth and my face, and she helped me with my hair. When I was done, I sat on the toilet seat, feeling weak and tired.
“Elena, how do you feel right now?” Zoey asked, holding my shoulder and looking into my eyes. Her voice was filled with worry.
I shook my head. “I feel weak and tired. I guess I just need to have enough sleep,” I said.
“Shit, I need to pee.”
“Elena!” Zoey called, and I looked at her. “Have you done a pregnancy test?” she asked.
I haven't taken any tests yet... I sat on the toilet seat, deciding if I should. Honestly. I was so scared. I didn't know what the result would reveal. What if it says that I am not pregnant? Should I wait for Nicklaus?
He would be back tomorrow, and I wanted to wait for him to come back, but I needed to know my health status.
After a few seconds of thinking, since my bladder hurts, I decided to take the test. I will take it, and we will all look at the result together.
“Irina, bring me the kits, please,” I spoke, and she brought it in after a few minutes.
I am ready for this.

Here goes nothing.
Nicklaus’ POV: Two days ago.It had been a long day at work for me. I sat behind the desk and operated my laptop. I stood up and walked around to see how the new application design was carried out.I and my team worked hand in hand to see that everything was perfect and going smoothly. I have been working to bring the company to its feet and maintain the position of being the first in the world.I got carried away with work, and before I knew it, the day had passed. I wasn't supposed to take so long, but business had to be done. I had to still maintain my position. I didn't want to mix business with you, please, but I found myself missing Elena. I couldn't wait to return to Los Angeles. I had been thinking about her since I travelled. I wondered how she was doing and if she was in good shape. I couldn't wait to see her. When I spoke with her last night, I noticed that she was sounding weak and tired, so I allowed her to sleep, hoping that she would regain her strength today. I hop
Elena’s POV:I held the test strips in my hands as I looked at the result. Zoey and Irina gave me a questioning look. I looked at them in confusion, and the words couldn't come out of my throat. I could not believe what I was seeing. It was as if it were all a dream. This is what Nicklaus and my family ever wanted. “Elena!” I heard a sound coming from the room. I raised my eyes because the voice was familiar and the door was swung open. It was Nicklaus. He quickly opened the door to run to me, but he froze when he saw what was in my hand. My breath ceased as I looked at him. My heart was beating fast, and my excitement was growing. “Did you?” he asked while he stuttered. “Did you take the test?” he asked. I nodded my head with a smile on my lips as I pressed my lips into a thin line. “I did the test,” I said. “What?” he asked. His gaze moved to the test strips. “I did the test.” I spoke out loud, and Nicklaus watched me in disbelief. I showed him the result, and his eyes widen
Sarah's POV:My heart was filled with so much, and I was getting frustrated. My blood was boiling through my veins and felt like I would explode any minute. I couldn't believe what I had just witnessed. Elena looked happy and glowed. She was living her best life while I was here, jubilating that she was in a hell hole. I could not believe she and Nicklaus turned out to be in love and built a very strong relationship. I had separated her from Caleb because I knew that he would make her happy, and now Nicklaus is making her happier. I regretted my actions. Nicklaus is even more handsome in person. I had been dreaming of ending with such a man, and now Elena had him to herself. Nicklaus is very handsome and has fallen in love with Elena. I saw all of their activities on the blogs, but I thought the bloggers were lying. My blood was boiling, and I felt very angry. If I had known, I would have gotten married to Nicklaus. I would have convinced my father to introduce me to the Coleman s
Elena’s POV:I woke up the next day in Nicklaus’ arms. He had been very happy about the news, and he had been pampering me since yesterday. I slowly walked out of bed as I felt nauseous. I ran to the bathroom to throw up, and Nicklaus followed me to the bathroom. He held my hair up and rubbed my back. I have been throwing up since yesterday. I sat on the toilet seat and rested for a while. Nicklaus helped clean me up, and he decided to bathe me. He prepared the bathtub and filled it with nice essential oils and some rose petals.“You are going to be just fine; just let me help you relax,” he said, and he reached for my hands. I relaxed my head on his legs as he massaged my scalp. The rest of my body was in the water. After some time, he washed my hair and scrubbed my body. The hot water was so relaxing, and I began to regain my strength. He turned on the warm water, which cascaded down my body from head to toe. He gently rinsed me off. His hands were so soft, and he was gentle with
Elena’s pov: I slowly woke up from my sleep when I felt the sun's rays on my skin. My stomach ached a little, and my feet were sore. The baby bump is beginning to show. It's been 9 weeks since I found out I am pregnant, and that means I am 12 weeks gone. Nicholas has been kind and caring to me. He always watched out, and he was protective and possessive. I had been going for antenatal care, but today was my rest day. I yawned and slowly opened my heavy eyes. I sat upright and rested my head on the headboard. My eyes widened when I saw Nicklaus sitting at the end of the bed, staring at me. “Damn, you startled me. How long have you been watching me?” I spoke.“A couple of hours,” he responded with a wide grin on his face. I glanced at the wall clock, and it was almost noon. “You should be at work. I spoke as I yawned.“I just wanted to make sure that you had a wonderful rest. Did you sleep well?” he asked. I nodded my head. “Now, come have your bath,” he said, gently taking me ou
Nicklaus’ POV:I was seated at my desk, discussing work projects and business transactions with the board of directors. I could hear how busy the office was today. It was a hectic season. Phones rang and were answered continuously, with papers shuffling and a lot of work going on. The new project had led to everybody having a very busy schedule. Andre, one of my close friends and a business partner, paid me a visit, and we discussed the ongoing project and our next appointment. We also chatted about our personal lives and caught up on a lot. There was a gentle door, and I looked up and said, "Come in.” I spoke, and it was swung open by Joe. He walked inside the office and approached me with an envelope in his hand. “I apologise for the interruption, sir; this came in for you,” he said, extending his hands to pass me the envelope. “An invitation card to the Los Angeles Academy Awards,” he stated. I looked through the card and read the content. “The Los Angeles Academy Awards,”I
Elena’s POV:It is another lovely day. I woke up very early in the morning to do some exercises and stretch my legs. The antenatal classes have been helpful, and I have been feeling at ease for some time now. I finished my morning exercise when the sun had risen, and I walked into the house to have a nice shower. Nicklaus helped me in the shower.I went downstairs and tied my hair up in a messy bun. I perceived the smell of bacon and fried fish, which made me even more hungry.“Good morning, Madam,” the chefs greeted. “Good morning,” I said back as I sat at the kitchen counter. They all fixed their eyes on me, and I raised an eyebrow. “Why are y'all staring?” I asked, placing my hands under my chin. “Do I look like a mess?” I askedOne of the chefs nodded her head. “Quite the contrary, ma'am. Your skin glows, and you look heavenly. I rolled my eyes. “That's what you get when you are being taken care of,” I said, and we all laughed. She stood up to pour me a glass of fresh juice,
Elena’s POV:My heart skipped a bit, and I stood frozen. Zoey was in front of me as she chatted about the whole day's activities, not knowing that I had been behind. My jaw dropped, and my eyes widened.“Elena, why did you stop?” Zoey asked, and she turned back to me. I decided to quickly walk away from him when he held my hands. “Elena, we need to talk,” he said. I quickly removed my hand from his grip and said, "Stay away from me. There is nothing to talk about.” I spoke and wanted to walk away when he held my hands. Zoey quickly ran to me and saw that it was Caleb that I was talking to. I struggled to remove my hand from his grip. “Let go of her now, you scumbag?” Zoey ordered, her voice rising. Caleb gave her a daring look and turned to me. He released my hands, and I wanted to walk away from him as quickly as I could. When he tried to hold my hand again, I raised my hand and landed it on his face, giving him a dirty slap.“I never want to cross paths with you. Let me the fu
