Chapter 180

Nicklaus’s POV:

I woke up to see the morning sun resting on Elena’s face. It felt so good to see her sleeping peacefully in my arms.

“Nicklaus,” she called. She slowly moved away from me.

“Good morning, Elena,” I said.

“Nicklaus, you need to go before our—my son sees us in here,” she spoke up.

I sat upright. “Please, can you get me my clothes?” I asked.

She rushed out immediately and brought the clothes back in. I quickly put it on and was about to leave when the door was open. Elena’s eyes widened as Jason ran into the room.

“Good morning, mummy,” he called and ran to Elena. He stopped when he set his eyes on me. “Uncle Nicklaus?”

Elena and I didn't say a word. We just kept quiet. Immediately the door was open, and Zoey walked in. “Elena,” she paused, her eyes on Nicklaus.

“Uncle Nicklaus, what are you doing here?” wave asked.

I looked at Elena. “Uh, I just dropped by this morning to invite your mother for dinner,” he spoke.

“Really?” Wave asked. Elena gave me side eyes, but that was only what I could come up with.

“Yes, wave. Would you like to join us as well?” I asked.

He turned to Elena. “Mummy, can I join you both for dinner?”

Elena nodded her head and smiled. “Of course, my darling,” she said.

“I have to rush to work then; see you by 7,” I said and walked out.

Immediately, I bumped into Alex, and my cheeks flushed.

He smiled and walked up to me. “I knew you came by last night, bruh,” that made me feel relaxed.

“I also got your invitation for a business lunch. I will be at the office,” he said.

“Thank mate. I will be looking forward to seeing you at lunch.

“I have to go now. Take care,” I said and walked out of the house.

I have never been this happy in a long time. I have to prepare the divorce papers and divorce Sarah immediately. I will have my lawyers ready today, and I will make sure that we go our separate ways.

I reached for my phone and dialled my divorce lawyer’s number. “Get the divorce papers ready before evening. This information should not get out to the public,” I spoke.

I walked into the mansion and walked in the hallway. I stopped at Sarah’s room.

I didn't say a word. I wanted to walk past her when she called my name. “Nicklaus baby,”

“Baby, I specially made breakfast for you,” she said.

“Thank you. I already instructed Chef Henry to make me breakfast.” I spoke and walked away.

I didn't want to do that right now because it would escalate. I need to gather enough evidence and get the divorce papers ready.

I walked into my room and decided to have a hot shower. The warm water cascaded down my body, and I washed up.

I was ready for work. I have a lot to do today, and I will stop at nothing to see that I achieve all of that.

I decided to drive myself since I had been doing that for weeks, and it felt great. I decided to stop by the hospital to present my samples and Amelia’s hair sample for a DNA test. I wanted to be sure of everything.

I am convinced that Sarah is capable of doing all of these terrible things, but deep down, I wish that Amelia would turn out to be my daughter.

I arrived at the office to see my divorce lawyer seated behind the desk. “Hello, Sam, thank you for honouring this prompt meeting,” I said and extended my hand for a handshake.

He stood up and returned the handshake before I took my seat. I dropped my briefcase on the table, and he brought out the divorce files.

“Everything is ready; the court has granted the divorce. Are you sure about this, sir?”

I narrowed my eyes as I went through the parts. “I have never been so sure,” I spoke. I felt happy that everything had come to light, and I waited for more information from the investigations. “You have outdone yourself again, Sam. Thank you so much. Again, this shouldn't get out. Do not mention it to anybody,” I said, and he nodded his head.

“You can always count on me, Mr. Nicklaud Coleman. I have to return to the form right now,” he said and stood up to leave.

After that, I heard a knock on the door, and my secretary walked inside the office. “Sir, you have a lunch meeting with Mr. Alex at the restaurant right now,” she spoke.

“Right away. You are dismissed.”

I dismissed my team and walked downstairs to the restaurant. Alex was already seated at the table, and I walked up to him. He stood up and we shook hands.

“My apologies for being late; I lost track of time,” I said.

“It's fine. We can begin the meeting right now without wasting much time,” he said.

I exhaled deeply, “You are right. I just need you to help me do one thing. It's about me, Williams, and the company.

My phone rang immediately, “Excuse me, I need to take this.” I said that and received the call.

“Mr. Nicklaus Coleman, the DNA test result is ready; you can come pick up the result at the hospital.”
