Chapter 172

Mr. Williams’ POV:

I blink my eyes open in the early hours of the morning when the door is slid open. Nurse Grey walked inside, holding a clipboard in her hand. She checked the monitor and also the drip.

I fixed my eyes on her as I watched her quietly, letting her do her job. She didn't say a word, and she avoided eye contact with me. I felt some type of attachment. It was as if I had known her from the past, and she reminded me of Elena so much.

She turned around and was about to leave the room when I mentioned a name that had been on my mind.

“Anna!”

She stood frozen in her tracks as the name echoed in the room. My heart slammed hard against my chest, and I was so stunned.

I could remember her from the past. I smiled a little as tears were almost gathering in my eyes when she turned to her heels and walked away.

I lay on the bed as tears began to fill my eyes; she was the one. It was Anna; I was right all along. I thought to myself.

She looks so much like Elena. That's the reason I couldn't stop thinking about Elena.

28 years ago.

I zoomed off to my father’s house after leaving Anna in the rain. She cried so hard, and I couldn't do anything. I do not have a choice. She can't be pregnant for me. Emily is also pregnant for me.

My father already had plans of me getting married to Mr. Rob's daughter, and my parents never liked her.

I walked into the sitting room to see my father sitting close to the chimney with a newspaper and a cigarette in his mouth. The room was silent. The only noise was the sound of the heavy rain pouring outside.

I angrily walked past him to climb the stairs when he broke the silence in the room. “Why weren't you present at the dinner?” he asked.

I stopped in my tracks. “I lost track of time,” I responded.

“Mr. Rob was here with his daughter, and you knew about it. What games are you trying to play?” he asked.

“Father, I am not interested in Mr. Rob’s daughter,” I spoke; my voice was firm. I was boiling inside of me already.

My father closed his newspaper and stood up from his chair. “You will get married to Mr. Rob’s daughter, and that's it,” my father shouted.

“Anna is pregnant for me,” I shouted. Immediately, I heard the sound of a broken plate on the floor. My eyes turned to the other side of the room to see my mother standing in the dining area.

She walked up to me, fixing her gaze on me. “What did you just say?” she asked. I didn't say a word. Immediately, she slapped me hard on the face.

“Do you know you will own Mr. Rob's company when you get married to his daughter? You have the guts to still have your way with Anna. As of today, I forbid you to ever meet with Anna,” she shouted.

“Mother, Anna is Mr. Rob's daughter’s best friend. How can I do that to her?” I shouted.

“Well, I'm afraid you are going to do that to her. As you know, we are bankrupt. This is the only way to our financial freedom. You will accept Mr. Rob’s offer and get married to Emily. Do you know what he would do to this family if you didn't marry his daughter? She is also pregnant for you,” my mother spoke with her eyes wide open.

“As of today, I forbid you to set your eyes on Anna, or I will hand over the company to your David,” he shouted.

“Father, you can't hand over the company to David. He is my younger brother, and I have been working my way up as the CEO of that company.”

“You will do as I say or face the consequences,” he shouted.

There was silence in the room. I didn't know what to do or say. I was caught off guard. I never know why Mr. Rob offered me to get married to his daughter, and his daughter knows that Sarah and I are in love.

“I can't believe this,” I spoke while shaking my head. I ran upstairs and closed my room door. I lay on the bed, my eyes facing the ceiling. I thought about everything that had happened.

I was also seduced by Mr. Rob's daughter 3 weeks ago, and we got intimate. It had been our secret. It also turns out she is pregnant with me. Now I do not know what to do.

I have worked my way up to being the CEO, and I can't let everything go to waste. I fucked up by getting involved with Emily. Now my actions had caught up with me.
