Chapter 104

Sarah’s POV:

“You think moving in with your new fiance will save you from me? You have no idea what I am capable of.” I went through the text message over and over again with my heart pounding hard.

I stayed in my room all day long, feeling restless and looking around, thinking of what to do. The text made me feel very insecure and restless. I thought moving in with Nicklaus would remove eyes from me, but it turns out this person knows a lot more information about me.

I paced around the room tiredlessly and thought of what to do: “My plans of getting rid of the bastard failed again, and I can't keep paying her off for her silence. She's obviously using blackmail to collect instant cash from me. I have to do something.” I muttered silently to myself with my finger on my chin as I thought to myself.

My eyes were cold and calculative as I thought about the whole plan. I remembered how I struggled with her the other day in the woods. I was this close to finding out her identity because it's coming from someone who knows me inside and out.

Who could that person be? I was this close to seeing who she was. “Fuck,” I cussed under my breath. I narrowed my eyes. “Could it be my mother?” I asked myself silently.

I was lost in thought, and the door was swung open without my knowledge. “Miss Sarah,” the voice spoke calmly, gaining my attention.

I was startled, causing me to just a little. I turned around to see Irina standing in the doorway. “Why are you here?” I asked, raising my voice and giving her a cold look.

“You sent for me earlier,” she spoke.

That's when I remembered that I had sent for her. I placed my hand on my head and said, “You are right. Urm, prepare all of the maids tomorrow. I will be having lunch with my family and friends in this mansion. Make sure that everything is under control,” I spoke authoritatively.

"Yes, ma'am,” she said and walked out of the room. I let out a deep sigh, and I walked straight into the bathroom. My ankle still hurt a little, but I managed to walk.

Marina prepared my bath water, and I soaked myself in it for a few minutes. I let my muscles relax and gather enough strength. I believe Nicklaus should be back for dinner.

I got dressed in sexy lingerie and wrapped a robe around my body. I gently walked downstairs when I saw Nicklaus already seated in the dining area.

The chef served us our meal, and we ate in silence. Though it wasn't comfortable for me. I wanted to talk about something and bring up a topic, but Nicklaus seems uninterested.

I plotted my moves tonight as we ate. I won't let myself be distant. I must make him mine. After dinner, I cleaned my mouth with a napkin and stood up to leave.

“Excuse me, I will be in my room,” I said, but before I could take another step, I paused and winced in pain.

“Arghh…” I shouted

Nicklaus quickly stood up from his chair, and he rushed to me, “Are you alright?” He asked, holding me from losing my balance to keep me from falling.

I reached out to his arms and placed them on my waist. “Yes, I am fine,” I spoke.

He looked uncomfortable holding me, but he had no choice. “Can you help me go upstairs? I need to rest.” I said.

He helped me to my room and wanted to help me lay on the bed when I paused, “You know I can't lay in bed like his. I need to get off the robe,” I said and immediately removed the robe, which revealed my sexy lingerie.

My eyes never know what ft. They were fixed on him, and I bit my lips.
