Eden pov“No!” I screamed with all my might and felt my body collapse on the ground. My hands shot to my ears and the monster screamed so loud, the sound echoed throughout the forest. “Run! Don’t look back!” I shouted to the terrified kid. At this point, I had no idea if the kid was still around, covering nearby, all I cared about was to get the innocent soul away from me. I couldn’t recall how long the car ride from the castle to my step-mother’s pack, but I was sure it wasn’t near as fast as I got there now. Lucius povMy blood froze in my veins and I was sure my heart stopped. Everything around me turned into one massive blob of haze and moving objects while I knew for a fact nothing was happening. I was stuck in a state of frozen time, unable to react.That is, until Titus grabbed my shoulders and pulled me closer, pressing his lips to mine. Sparks flew nearly instantly as my eyelids grew heavy. There wasn’t even a single thought in my mind that would justify the chance of pushing him away. So I didn’t. Instead, I placed my hand on the back of his neck and pulled him closer, parting my lips to let his tongue enter my mouth. I was kissing my goddamn best friend. And fuck, I enjoyed it.
