Eden pov

I came back to my senses covered in blood from head to toe. The burning in my throat was more intense, one I didn’t expect after feeding.

“I refuse to feed off of these peasants,” the voice in my head snarled.

“Who are you?” I asked. I was right about over and done with the thing contradicting itself all of the time. And besides, I was tired of always addressing it as the voice, the inability to put a name to whatever it was started pissing me off.

“I am you. I am me. I am one whole made of two souls.” It replied snarkily.

“No, I mean exactly what you are. And what is your name?” Deep down, I knew the questions I asked were there simply to distract myself.

I caught a glimpse of the carnage around me, I couldn’t look at it for any longer without overthinking how it was possible that my body had acted and done all that damage.

“Kanox,” it grumbled.
