Kenji held Akiko’s hand, his remaining common sense reminding him to prevent Akiko from undressing.
“Akiko, stop! What are you doing?”
His noble intentions did not align with Akiko’s desires, as she pushed Kenji’s hand away and fully removed her thin nightgown, along with everything else. No fabric remained on Akiko’s body, and Kenji could only watch, wondering if it was all a dream—it seemed too impossible.
“Hot—” Akiko’s soft moan was audible as she lay down. Her eyes closed, as if asleep, but her hands kept caressing her own body, as if trying to dispel the heat enveloping her.
A pair of eyes had been unblinkingly watching Akiko's every move, swallowing several times. No man could maintain his sanity after witnessing this.
Kenji, who had intended to do the right thing, had forgotten that intention. He tried to remember that the enticing girl was Akiko, but his lust and clouded mind started pushing away the remnants of his common sense.
“Come here...”
As if writhing wasn’t enough, Akiko moved closer, grabbing Kenji’s hand and placing it on her increasingly warm body.
“Why are you silent?” Akiko protested with sleepy eyes and a hoarse voice.
“STOP!” That warning wasn’t just for Akiko but also for himself. Kenji wanted to avoid disaster if he touched Akiko.
But that desire only came from Kenji; Akiko wanted the opposite. She wanted to vent the heat in her body; she wanted someone to touch it.
“Yuto... come here.” Akiko didn’t clearly see who the man she had been pleading with was; she called out her husband’s name.
“No!” Kenji, who was trying to calm himself, was provoked when he heard that man's name from Akiko. Kenji grabbed Akiko's cheek, lifting her face to see him more clearly.
“Look carefully! I’m not Yuto!” Kenji shouted loudly, but Akiko responded with a smile, delighted that the man she desired was so close to her lips. She wrapped her arms around Kenji’s neck, attempting to kiss him.
That was the point where Kenji couldn’t turn back. The suppressed desire could no longer be held back as Akiko’s lips innocently brushed against his. Akiko’s scent seemed to beckon seductively, burning away any lingering thoughts of the risks still in Kenji’s mind.
There was no longer anything stopping him. Kenji devoured Akiko’s open lips, venting his lust and the residual anger from hearing Yuto’s name earlier. The overlapping lust and anger made Kenji unable to be gentle. He continued to roughly ravage Akiko's lips.
But Akiko reciprocated. Akiko happily accepted being pushed down, and the warm man covered her without caring who it was. Akiko writhed, wanting more.
“Look carefully at who I am!” Kenji hissed, once again turning Akiko’s face to make her see him clearly.
“Who am I?!” Kenji asked hoarsely, while his hands busily removed the remaining clothes from his body.
“Who am I?!” Kenji repeatedly kissed her neck, satisfying Akiko's longing for him to move.
“Oji... Kenji? Oji-san*...” Akiko opened her eyes properly for the first time, finally recognizing the man on top of her. But it didn’t change anything.
Akiko had been drawn too far, enjoying how the man's warm hands touched her body. Satisfied that her desires were being fulfilled, Akiko didn’t care who it was; she just wanted someone to fill her body.
As the pleasure came, Akiko unabashedly screamed and moaned, writhing as her body was continually driven. Satisfaction was all Akiko wanted, and Kenji gave it to her.
Kenji no longer sided with common sense; he also enjoyed Akiko’s warm body, which seemed insatiable. She kept moaning and begging until finally collapsing and lying still. Kenji hugged
Akiko’s warm body, then covered them with a blanket and fell asleep. He didn’t think about the consequences. He just wanted to hold that body.
*** “This is disgusting! Akiko? Are You crazy?”Akiko forced herself to open her eyes. She was confused. Her aunt's screams sounded like a nightmare's howl. Akiko looked at Karina, who was at the door.
"Aunt? What's going on?" As Karina gradually raised her hand and gestured, Akiko inquired. Akiko felt Karina was pointing at her, but then realized she was pointing next to her body.
Akiko turned and screamed because there was a man's body lying next to her, facing away.
"You came to me wounded, but this is how you repay me?" Karina screamed again, adding to Akiko's panic.
She tried to get up but screamed again when she realized her body was naked. She wasn't wearing anything under the blanket.
"You're a whore! You're disgusting!" Karina kept pointing.
"Aunt! Calm down!" Akiko felt her head ringing. This wasn't supposed to happen. Akiko only remembered falling asleep after drinking milk and not bringing a man with her.
"I didn't know you could be this low! Where are your morals? Not only have you betrayed Yuto, but you've also hurt me! What do you want?!" Karina started sobbing, while Akiko looked again at the man beside her.
Akiko had hoped the man was Yuto, but that was impossible because Yuto's back wasn't that muscular—but Karina had already proven that hope wrong.
"AGH!!" When Akiko finally recognized the messy hair, she screamed loudly.
"Impossible!" Akiko screamed again. She refused to believe the disgusting reality she had just realized. It couldn't be that she slept with her own uncle!
"Kenji... Uncle..." Akiko stuttered as she saw the body move, then awoke from her screams. It was definitely her uncle. That was why her aunt was hysterical and kept cursing her.
"No... This can't be..." Akiko shook her head. There was no way she had just done the unthinkable with her uncle.
"You really are an ungrateful woman!" Karina was still very angry.
"Your mother-in-law was right! You're an ungrateful woman! Look at what you've done. You thankless whore!"
A new wound had been inflicted. Akiko had received comfort and consolation from Karina yesterday, but now that was impossible. Akiko's tears flowed, and she moved closer to her aunt.
"I didn't know... This isn't me. It can't be..." Akiko tried to defend herself, but Karina pulled the blanket covering her body.
"You can't be what? That's a sign you're a whore!" Karina pointed to the red marks on Akiko's neck. They were surely from Kenji's kisses.
Akiko looked at her upper arm. There were marks there, too. Even if she wanted to deny that anything had happened, she couldn't. Her body had been clean and spotless yesterday.
"But I... it can't be, Aunt. How could this happen?" Akiko's tears flowed even more as her brain couldn't deny the reality anymore.
"Are you asking me? I should be the one asking! How could you do something so disgusting with your own uncle?" Karina pointed again.
"SHUT UP!" A hoarse, heavy voice made them both turn simultaneously. Kenji had finally woken up and sat up. It took a while because his head felt heavy and hurt—just like Akiko's earlier.
"You are shameless, too! How could you do this to me?" Karina redirected her pointing finger to Kenji, but Kenji didn't care. He clicked his tongue and waved his hand, dismissing her.
"Leave! Get out!" he hissed, staring without emotion.
Karina, who had been holding back her tears, immediately sobbed and ran out, screaming. Kenji still didn't care; he turned to Akiko, who quickly grabbed the blanket and hid. Akiko's sobs were muffled by the blanket.
"Akiko..." Kenji moved closer, trying to touch her shoulder, but Akiko screamed when she felt the touch through the blanket.
"Don't touch me!" Akiko didn't want Kenji to touch her again. She remembered the red marks on her body. She didn't want her uncle to touch her again.
Kenji clicked his tongue, then walked to the bathroom in the corner of the room with his naked body. His head hurt too much; Kenji was going to pour water over it, hoping to think more clearly.
Akiko could hear his footsteps. As soon as she heard the door close, Akiko quickly grabbed the clothes she had worn yesterday, dressed hurriedly, and ran out. Akiko just wanted to go home, but Karina blocked her in the living room.
"Where do you think you're going? Leaving after breaking someone's heart?" Karina snapped

"I don't know, Aunt. Truly, it's a mistake. I don't understand." Akiko whimpered and begged for forgiveness. Though she had no memory, she knew her actions were disgusting."I pity you! I try to understand your burden! As your mother's only family, I've tried to help! I arrived here with the expectation of reestablishing a connection after an extended period of time apart; however, you struck me in the back. You're disgusting!"Karina kept hurling insults, and all of them were true. Akiko knew she deserved it. As a child, Akiko left her mother's homeland—Indonesia—to seek treatment for her illness in Japan, after her parents died. Akiko had only met Karina again as an adult, when she married Kenji.Karina was the only family Akiko had left besides Kenji, but now her disgusting actions have shattered that relationship."You don't deserve to cry! I do!" Karina pushed Akiko's shoulders, causing her to stumble.Fortunately, Akiko managed to lean against something to avoid falling. Hearing
But Kenji's hand was quicker; he grabbed Karina's arm and pulled her back inside while pushing the shoji* door shut.“Don’t you dare do that!” Kenji hissed. He didn’t care about Akiko’s marriage, but he didn’t want Karina to do something that would make Akiko cry for days.“Oji-san!” Akiko cried out in panic, as Karina now screamed in pain. Kenji was squeezing her arm hard, not just pulling her.“Don’t hurt her, Oji-san!” Akiko pulled at Kenji’s hand, trying to free Karina. Slowly, Kenji’s grip loosened, not because of Akiko’s pull but because of her tears.“Oji-san, I don’t want to be separated from Yuto. I don’t want to lose him. Please grant Auntie’s request.” Akiko then pleaded.A few seconds ago, her heart was still in turmoil, but the nightmare of being separated from Yuto was scarier to her. Akiko knew her request might be more than just impudent—asking her uncle to let go of his wife was crazy. In Akiko’s mind, they were married and happy. Kenji refused to grant the divorce r
Akiko quickly retreated to the corner of the bathroom, clutching her phone tightly. There was nothing she could do. Her body was tense as her eyes remained fixed on Kenji, who looked extremely angry. With a trembling voice, Akiko whispered, "Oji-san...""Oji-san!" Akiko screamed as Kenji's rough hand snatched her phone away.Without blinking, Kenji threw the phone against the bathroom wall, shattering it into pieces."Why did you do that?" Akiko wailed as she fell to the floor, gathering the fragments of her phone that were irreparable. The phone wouldn’t turn on, and the screen was cracked."I told you to stay here! You don't deserve to go back to that family!" Kenji hissed and tried to force Akiko to stand, but she pushed his hand away."No. I want to go back. I need to be with Yuto!"Kenji pulled Akiko’s face close, gripping her cheeks with his hand. "What do you like about him? He's weak! And he doesn't make you happy at all!""He's not weak. I’m happy with him! I’m---""LIES! If
Akiko wiped her tears away, taking two suitcases near her feet and using them as support to stand. She felt she had no more strength left. With vacant eyes, Akiko walked away from the gate. She didn’t know what to do or how to handle the situation. She didn't understand how Kaede knew what had happened.Karina shouldn't have spoken again, since she had already received the money she wanted and had her wish to leave Kenji fulfilled. But now it didn’t matter who had informed Kaede; Akiko’s worst fears had come true.Akiko sighed deeply, trying to hold back her tears as she staggered along. Physically, her body wasn’t in pain, but her heart was bruised and bleeding. She couldn’t even stand up straight.Akiko walked without looking anywhere, but she stopped when she noticed a familiar car stopping beside her. It's Kenji's car.Kenji hadn’t left. Kenji had been standing in front of Yuto's house earlier, clearly observing how Kaede had driven Akiko away. He had been following her the whole
Akiko didn’t know how long she had spent sitting silently in the corner of her room because, when she came, the surroundings had already turned dark. She turned on the light, took a stack of futons from the sliding closet, and laid them out on the floor to sleep. But even though she lay down and felt very tired, Akiko couldn’t fall asleep. Besides feeling restless and scared of Kenji, Akiko was also afraid of her own future. She had never felt so lost and hopeless, as if the whole world didn’t want to accept her. Akiko then closed her eyes, took a few deep breaths, and tried to clear her mind of all the negative thoughts that were gnawing at her sanity and well-being.At that moment, Akiko wanted to improve her current life and find a way to stop sinking deeper into despair. Indeed, contemplating Yuto and everything else wasn't the appropriate approach.“I will work,” Akiko muttered. After clearing her mind, she finally came to a decision that she found quite satisfying.By working,
Akiko quickly set the table for breakfast, rushing because she didn't want to be late. It would be detrimental to her reputation if she arrived late for her job interview. She arranged the rice and miso soup side by side. Having found some shrimp earlier, Akiko decided to make shrimp karaage, recalling that her uncle liked it.Carefully, Akiko placed the chopsticks on their rest, right next to the bowl. There was no height difference between the chopsticks, and after straightening them several times, Akiko realized that all this extra neatness wasn't necessary.Kaede wasn't around to scold her, even if the chopsticks weren't perfectly aligned. That was how detailed Kaede's demands for perfection from Akiko were. The woman would chastise her for even a chopstick-length difference.Akiko shook her head, realizing she needed to let go of the habit of always striving for perfection. No one would scold her anymore. Akiko clenched her fists, trying to suppress the overwhelming sense of rel
Akiko bowed, slipped off her shoes, and stepped into the house, almost tiptoeing to avoid making any noise. She had to be careful because she was coming home very late. The restaurant where she had applied for a job had only been willing to interview her after nightfall, waiting for the owner to arrive. Of course, Akiko had recklessly waited, as it was the only restaurant left.Luckily, her efforts were not in vain. She was also offered a job at the restaurant. With that, Akiko officially had two jobs: one at the supermarket and another as a waitress at the restaurant. Although both were menial jobs, at least by working at two places simultaneously, Akiko had hope of saving money more quickly. Akiko had calculated her income in enormous detail during her journey home earlier and estimated that within the next three or four months, she would have enough money to rent a modest apartment and start her new life.Though three or four months was long, Akiko had to accept it because she ha
“AAGHH!” Akiko screamed, covering her face with her hands and shaking her head, not wanting to accept the kiss. But Kenji grabbed both of Akiko's hands and pulled them away from her face."What more could you expect from that family? I already told you to stay here and forget about them! Am I not enough?" Kenji's voice softened, but Akiko was already too scared, and her body trembled even more. With a final act of desperation, Akiko shook off Kenji's hands and managed to free herself. Kenji was drunk, so his grip wasn't strong. Akiko easily pushed Kenji aside. Without looking back, Akiko ran as fast as she could to her room and shut the door.Panting, Akiko crumbled once more. She sat down, hugging herself, trying to calm her trembling body and hold back the sobs that were almost escaping her lips. "Why..." Finally, the sobs came with tears.Akiko felt so alone, and the world seemed so terrifying. It was the same feeling she had when she saw Yuto remain silent and Kaede say cruel th
"What's wrong?" Akiko grew more curious as she watched Kenji lower his head and cover his face with his hands."Sorry, just a moment." Kenji needed to calm himself. The fear he felt earlier was real. He had braced himself for Akiko's complaining of pain, clearly worried about her post-surgery scars. But Akiko was completely calm. A small ray of hope emerged amidst all the darkness that enveloped him."Are you okay?" Akiko asked again, gently touching Kenji's hand, which slowly loosened its grip."Yes, I'm fine. Everything is fine." Kenji smiled, causing Akiko's heart to race again. She reflexively covered Kenji's mouth."Don't smile like that," Akiko complained. Kenji raised his eyebrows in question."Just don't."Kenji found the request odd, but he nodded. Only then did Akiko release her hand, exhaling with a sense of relief."What's wrong with my smile? Is it scary?" Kenji didn’t think he had made a scary face, but Ryu
Akiko stared at Kenji as he walked in, once again placing a hand on her chest. She felt abnormal, her heart racing with excitement.Or maybe it was the man who wasn’t normal. Akiko couldn't imagine how she had married someone so... handsome.Akiko admitted it. Ryu, who had been with her earlier, was handsome, sweet, and had a clean face. Kenji’s face was the complete opposite.Kenji was handsome, but not sweet, and he looked rugged with stubble that seemed a few days old. But that wild side of him was driving her crazy. Akiko felt her stomach suddenly warm as those dark eyes looked at her.She wanted to look away—unable to withstand the excessive charm—but decided to keep looking. It would be strange to turn away so suddenly. After all, they were husband and wife. Akiko wanted to get used to looking at that face quickly.“Are you feeling dizzy?” As he sat beside Akiko, he naturally reached out to touch her
"Is this going to be permanent?" As soon as Kenji and Hayashi left the room, he asked his question.Hayashi ran a hand through his white hair, and the lines on his forehead deepened."The answer is, I don't know." Hayashi gave his honest reply with a long sigh.If not for the fact that Hayashi had done so much to help Akiko recover, Kenji might have snapped at him for his unhelpful response. It was Hayashi's job to diagnose Akiko's condition, not to be unsure. It was Kenji's responsibility not to be in the dark."Maybe this answer won't satisfy you," Hayashi said, noticing how Kenji was struggling to contain his emotions."However, I am unable to provide a definitive response. The neurologist who worked with me on Akiko's case before diagnosed her as unable to function normally, but after therapy restored her motor skills, her ability to remember and understand things slowly returned. When it comes to Akiko's condition, nothing is set in sto
Akiko followed Hayashi's flashlight beam, moving left and right with ease. There was no problem at all."What do you feel?" Hayashi asked with a friendly smile. Akiko looked at him. He was a kind and gentle doctor."Dizzy." Akiko had felt a sharp pain in her head when she tried to sit up earlier, but now it had eased significantly. That was her only physical complaint. As for her thoughts—Akiko couldn’t explain them."Of course you feel dizzy. You have a head injury."Akiko appreciated the doctor's warmth as he gently explained. She then touched the bandage on her head with a confused expression."What happened to me? Did I fall?" Akiko inquired, hoping for a quick explanation. But the doctor didn’t answer immediately. Akiko caught him glancing at one of the men standing on the opposite side of the bed. The man nodded.Akiko understood instantly that Hayashi had just sought permission. The doctor was seeking permissi
Kenji's thoughts immediately pointed to her. Only Karin could have come up with such a cunning plan, with the intent to hurt Akiko. After all, who else knew about the relationship between him and Akiko besides Karin? Kenji doubted his father would resort to such cowardly methods. His father had already shown his way yesterday—an attack from the front, forceful if necessary."I think we were wrong. Karin isn't interested in the Nakamura fortune. She's doing everything she can to hurt Akiko." Kenji corrected his earlier assumption that Karin was merely being materialistic when she tricked him. "Everything she's done since the beginning has hurt Akiko.""Why though? Why would she hate her own niece?" Ryu scratched his head, looking confused. It wasn't a question that Kenji needed to answer. Aside from not knowing the reason, Kenji didn’t care. What mattered was that Karin had hurt Akiko. Before this, Kenji could still forgive everything Kari
But Kenji's burden gradually lessened as he saw a smile spread across Hayashi's lips.“It worked. Everything was successfully retrieved. And Akiko's condition is very stable,” Hayashi said, giving a thumbs-up.Kenji let out a sigh of relief, but he knew his relief was premature.“How…”“I’ve requested that the biopsy be done as soon as possible, but it will still take at least a day. Be patient. Stay with Akiko when she wakes up. Huh, what happened to your face?” Hayashi inquired, noting Kenji's bruised and battered face.“Something happened, but it's over now,” Kenji responded vaguely. He might hear the full story later about the earlier commotion, but Kenji wasn’t too concerned. Kuryugumi usually had a team to clean up any public disturbances.Hayashi squinted at Kenji's face before patting his shoulder. “Take care of those wounds. But I must go. I’m not as youn
"Then obey. I've allowed you to do as you please all this time."Masaki looked at Kenji, who was bowing before him, shaking his head. He had watched Kenji grow, and of course, he knew that Kenji rarely begged anyone for anything.Seeing Kenji bowing always surprised him. This was the second time Masaki had seen Kenji in such a position. And for the same reason—that weak girl."I will obey and follow your orders—whatever you want. But not with Akiko," Kenji said, pressing his forehead to the ground. Masaki sighed and shook his head. He couldn’t understand why Kenji was so stubborn."Get up," Masaki ordered. Kenji raised himself, but he remained kneeling."You make me seem like a villain when everything I've done has been to protect you, not to be cruel to you," Masaki said, resting his head on his hand while watching Kenji, who was now staring at the grass."Can't you want something else? She’s just a woman. There are
"Do you really want to commit a massacre out in the open?" Masaki shouted, and Kenji finally lowered the katana in his hand.He was a little disappointed that no blood had been spilled. He could kill, but not in front of so many witnesses. A rule that Kenji found bothersome. As Masaki was pushed closer to him, Kenji bowed and glanced at the unfamiliar face behind his father. He might be significantly older than Masaki. However, he appeared more robust and healthy.Kenji was a bit puzzled. If his father wanted to replace Matsuda, he should have picked someone younger, not someone as old as this. Kenji wasn't convinced that this man could lift his father in an emergency. But now wasn’t the time to question Masaki's decision. The veins around Masaki’s neck bulged as he held back his anger."Are you trying to fight me again?! Do you care more about that boy than my words?!" Masaki snapped."I've followed your words," Kenji replied po
Minute by minute, Kenji’s time spent outside the operating room felt like a nightmare—a terrible nightmare.Kenji had never felt this desperate before. He had to endure it for nearly three hours. In addition to the weight of all the risks, Kenji's attention was now fixed on the biopsy results.Hayashi mentioned this possibility yesterday. This is the worst possible outcome for Akiko's condition.Kenji slumped into the chair, closing his eyes, trying with all his might to follow Hayashi's advice not to overthink it.Hayashi had even laid out a very detailed treatment plan this morning to assure Kenji that, whatever the outcome, it didn’t mean a dead end. But Kenji didn’t want to let that possibility enter his mind. The treatment might offer a chance of recovery, but only a chance—not a certainty. That uncertainty planted an ever-growing darkness in Kenji’s mind, rooting deeply.*DRTT!*Kenji jerked as his phone vibrated and immedi
