Chapter Sixty-Nine

“Are you okay?” Asked Wesley, looking worriedly at Brooklyn who sat dazed beside the window. 

“Yeah but how long will we stay here? When are your grandparents returning home?” Asked a tired Brooklyn. Yesterday upon reaching Wesley’s grandparents' house, they realized that his grandparents had gone to the Bahamas on a vacation. Brooklyn was worried and lost, not knowing where to go next. Wesley called his grandma, Jane Ashburn, and told her everything. She asked them to stay at her best friend’s house for a few days.
