CHAPTER 7

Dark sat in his dimly lit office, a gun in one hand and pictures all across his desk. It was a photo of Carissa, his wife—or more rightly, ex-wife—with their child, Malia. It showed them on a beach resort, happily making juice as though they did not have any care in the world. His blood boiled. "Damn it," he muttered through gritted teeth. He couldn't believe it—the woman he had loved, the woman who left him and took their child—the woman whom, after all, was out there living her life, na parang walang nangyari.

He pressed the intercom on his desk. "Pedro, Ramon, come to my office," he ordered, his voice cold and commanding. He didn't intend to show up in front of Carissa now, but he would see to it that she wouldn't be able to escape him anymore. He wasn't just going to let this slide. *No, Carissa would pay for leaving him behind.*
