Don't go away again

The strange shades of the unfamiliar wall caught her eye as soon as she opened them. Her mind felt still, as if she didn't have any thoughts in it. Slowly setting her feet to the ground, Amy walked towards the door, clicking it open.

To her dismay a bright light disarrayed her vision making her cover her face using her hands.

As she slowly adjusted to her surroundings, she felt a warm but firm hand hold hers pulling her forward. Amy didn't feel any need to panic as she walked willingly as if she knew the owner of the hand.

“Love, I hope you like the surprise, Happy birthday,” a man's familiar voice said, making her stop on her tracks to take a better look at him.

But instead of stopping with her, he simply lifted her into his arms effortlessly. Amy furrowed her brows, feeling strange, it was as if she was in an impossible situation, but it felt so right.

Looking at the man, she gaped when his face came near.

“Li?” She called the name, rolling out sweetly on her tongue.
