Arrested

Liam turned to Amber, whose attention was fixed on opening the envelope.

“It's nothing I guess, dad just gave it to me before I left years back,” Liam replied, brushing the matter off.

Silence fell as Amber pulled out the documents reading through the documents carefully.

“Li? Did you say dad gave you this?” She asked, turning to look at him as he raised his brow at her nodding.

“Yes, what is it?” Liam asked the surprise on his sister's face, getting his attention.

“I think you should see this,” Amber replied, handing him one of the documents.

Liam checked the documents carefully, feeling as if his eyes were playing tricks on him. In his hands was a signed divorce agreement between him and Isabelle. This only meant that he had no ties with her.

“How? How is this possible?” Liam mumbled trying to come to terms with what he was seeing. How did his dad even get Isabelle to sign the divorce agreement?
