The Day

“Hurry or we're going to be late,” Amber almost screamed at her husband who was struggling to keep his tie straight.

“Hunnie, can't you see I'm trying to keep this damn thing straight!” Justus replied in his defense, his tone full of annoyance, but Amber laughed at him in return.

Justus huffed out loud giving up on his quest making him shrug his shoulders in defeat.

A loud cry resonated in the room making Amber close her eyes tightly. Any other day would be okay to hear the pleasant sounds of baby Kendra, but today was just not the day.

Justus muffled his chuckle, but Amber didn't miss it, making her throw him a look angrily.

“You're enjoying this, right?” Amber asked, looking at him sharply.

“Hunnie, I'm not enjoying anything but my little princess seems to be feeling worse than me,” Justus teased, raising his brow at her.
