Chapter 72.

LOGAN’S POV

I opened my eyes slowly to a bright morning. I looked outside the window and I almost got blinded. The sun today was very bright. I sat up and placed my back on the bedrest of the bed. For some reason I was feeling very sick. I could barely move my body. My body felt like it was being held back by a chain or some sort. I looked around and realized I was in my room. The last thing I could remember was that I passed out at the gate of the palace.

“Oh! You finally woke up!” Gertrude exclaimed.

I turned to my right and saw the dangling head of my foe.

“What do you mean finally woke up? From the looks of it, I woke up pretty early today,” I said as I struggled to get up on my feet. It was futile, I couldn’t move my legs. I tried to stand up again but this time it wasn’t my leg, it was my abdomen. I clenched my teeth in pain.

I placed my hand on my hurting stomach and felt blood. My bandaged stomach had started to bleed profusely.

“What the hell are you doing?!” Gertrude screame
