LOGAN’S POV

“That’s one question I know no answer to. Why are you asking me now? Are you finally going to tell me now?” Gertrude asked while staring at me.

“I know you had no answer to the likes of such questions. Even if you were to answer it, you would have said something ridiculous like; you’re only keeping me alive because you need parts of my body fur experiments,'' I said with a slight grin on my face.

“You call those ridiculous answers like they aren’t close to the actual answers.”

“Because they aren’t,” I replied as I got back to gazing at the sky.

As the evening became darker, the moon and stars became brighter. I love to gaze at the sky because it was one thing my late mother used for love. She would lay on the dry grass to observe the pretty stars. She occasionally invites me to join her in observing the stars even though I was reluctant every time, I still watch the stars with her, wearing a wide grin because I knew that was the only thing that makes her genuinely happy.
