LOGAN’S POV

“Logan!!” Luke screamed.

I looked at the sword that was buried in my belly. My blood has started to drip down. This was the first time I was bleeding this bad. I felt really dizzy and my vision, hazy. I held the blade of the sword with my left. I looked at the blade and my unfortunate belly one more time.

I sighed heavily as I turned around. Luke was crawling aggressively to me. I turned around to him and offered a faint grin. I knew that it was already the end for me. Gertrude’s sword pierced a vital spot.

“Stop, Luke,” I whispered. Blood had started to rush profusely down my mouth.

He stopped crawling and sat up. “Logan…”

“Luke, I want you to—”

“No! I’m not listening to your crap! This isn’t the time for crap. Weren’t you about to entrust your unborn child to me? Weren’t you about to entrust your pack to me? And for what reason? You wanted to give up. Have you suddenly forgotten what Amber said about peace?” Luke asked while panting heavily.
