HOWARD’S POV

Everywhere went silent as I feared that the guard had heard what I said. I lowered my face to avoid meeting his intent gaze. Just when I was expecting him to haul me up and take me to Noel, he flung clothing I didn't realize he was holding, at me.

“Be grateful the Alpha doesn't want you to freeze to death,” he said, before walking out.

I let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding, after he left.

“What were you saying earlier?” Logan, who I presumed had waited for the guard to leave, asked.

“I said I know where your son is hiding with his mate,” I replied.

“How do you know about my mate and son?” Logan asked, not convinced.

“From Noel. He is looking for them,”

“He told me,” Logan whispered, lowering his head. “It's a pity I can't save them.”

“Hey, he is not aware of where they are,” I informed Logan. “I didn't tell him.”

Logan's head jerked up immediately as he stared at me in surprise. “And why should I believe you?”
