Killian’s POV

I woke up to find Elaine nestled close to me, her soft breath warm against my chest. My first instinct was to tighten my arms around her, to savor the rare moments of peace we had. But something felt different about her.

I couldn't put my finger on it, but there was an almost palpable change in the air around her. She looked more beautiful than ever, radiant and ethereal. It was as if a new light shone from within her, casting a glow that seemed almost otherworldly.

As I lay there, watching her sleep, I felt a strange sensation tugging at the edges of my consciousness. A presence, delicate and strong, trying to connect with mine. I lowered my guard, allowing the connection to form, and then I heard it: a feminine voice, divine and melodic, echoing in my mind.
