140: Bothersome

Killian’s POV

But I should have known Leah wouldn’t leave so easily. The next thing I knew, while I was going through my list of new elders, my phone rang. It was Jake.

"Killian, we have a situation," he said urgently.

"What is it?" I asked, already feeling a knot form in my stomach.

"It's Leah. She's at your townhouse, and there are pack members gathering outside. She's causing a scene, and she's dragging Elaine out with her."

My blood ran cold. I wasted no time, bolting from my office and racing towards my townhouse. The drive felt like an eternity, each second ticking by in agonizing slowness. When I finally arrived, the scene was worse than I had imagined.

A crowd of pack members had gathered, their faces filled with confusion and concern. Leah stood at the center of it all, gripping Elaine's arm tightly. Elaine looked frightened but defiant, her eyes searching the crowd for me.

"Leah!" I roared, pushing through the throng of onlookers. "Let her go!"
