Killian’s POV

The morning was still early, the sun just starting to rise, casting a soft golden light through the windows of the council chamber.

The air was thick with anticipation and unease. I paced back and forth, my thoughts racing, trying to piece together the events of the previous night. A rogue attack—unprecedented and unsettling. What could this mean for us?

The elders filed in one by one, their expressions a mix of concern and curiosity. Each of them took their seat at the long, polished table, murmuring amongst themselves.

I took a deep breath, trying to steady my nerves. This was my responsibility now, to protect our people and maintain order. I couldn’t afford to show any sign of weakness.

“Thank you all for coming on such short notice,” I began, my voice firm and clear. “We have a serious matter to discuss. Last night, there was a rogue attack on the outskirts of our territory.”
